Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

You were planning on going through statistical data for California convictions? Before or after South Bend? I kid I kid. Only DR has that much free time. -

Sigh. I also don't know if they will request 32 forms of ID. I go off what the single story you linked says, which is that the data (which is not the sexist data) that is no doubt already in the hands of many outside of CA government, can still be in the hands of many. -

He must be so disappointed. A year ago, he seemed like the chosen one for 2020. Now he can't break through the top 5. Glad we're seeing why. He's desperately grasping at anything now. -

Of course it’s harder to get today, but it doesn’t require a FOIA request like Bgal said and it’s not Orwellian. Plus this is just a data store. “These reports provide important information on demographics, sentence length, offense type, and other figures relevant to criminal justice and incarceration.” I’m sure that you were planning on compiling all this data into some good excel charts at home. The media, left and right, and campaigns left and right, can still put together any chart they want. If if you get the data, you can put it on your server and tweet the link to the world. Every act is not a boogeyman. -
Trump's leadership team

He was barely supported by Committee Republicans and the Dems were of course going to oppose him. So although I’m sure he’s thrilled not have to go through the process, he was also not clearly a favored pick. This was one of Trump’s shoot from the hip moves. Chaos is a ladder and all of that. The mob rule mentality of continuing to never work together is not building a better America, that’s for sure. -

You guys are awesome. Keep it up. The media can get the data data and publish it. Like everyone could yesterday. Not everyone one is out to get you. -

That would be disappointing but the withdrawal reason given in public does not always align with the real reason, as we have seen many many times. -
You follow me like a teenage baby boomer followed the Beatles. It's not reciprocal.

I know your world revolves around you but mine doesn't. When you make a later corrective post, I don't always see it.

The national polls were not wrong and well within any error margin. But Trump was focusing on the electoral map, which most were not. For the poll here, the margin is not 3%. It's 20. Biden has a big lead. That said, with California coming earlier, the person who wins CA (Bernie could be that guy given his huge cash reserve and liberal bent) may get on an unstoppable roll.

Sounds truly Orwellian Bgal. -

Love that you got thumbs up on this. You can request the data. You don’t need to file a FOIA request. Or maybe requiring sending an email request is Orwellian. You should file a FOIA request. I’ll just do this. “Callison added that the documents are still available upon request via email to data.requests@cdcr.ca.gov.” -

Freely available data that can be requested and published by anyone is ... Orwellian? I wonder what Fox news update turned Trump and you onto this silliness. -

You figured him out. All part of the billsChan conspiracy. He is a chameleon sent here to track you. “When someone says something, believe it.” The fact that you think I am McGee fits with your conspiratorial worldview. "There can't be more than one person who would disagree with me!" Good stuff. Wait, now I'll log in as McGee and post some things. -
There were pages on it. But just above your post is this. He didn’t say they came from cities or districts that were corrupt. He said countries.

This is a great politics message board bet. I hope you each would stick to its spirit and not use a mocking version of the photo of the winner.

I am dismissing the 1% crew as having no shot but I agree that they and others still officially in the race could win PA. PA could only be won by a moderate Dem and they are in short supply and to BGal’s point, attacking coal and fracking at the debate is not to Joe’s advantage. Still, of the candidates likely to win the D nomination, Biden gives them the best shot at it. -
It’s intriguing to wonder if the China trade war will make a lasting impact on China that the arms race with the USSR had on the USSR. My guess is that’s the PRC can weather this storm better but it is a storm. I applaud these moves by Trump and hope he can adapt to the waters as they rage. I did not think our economy could handle this trade war as well as it has. Happy to be wrong on that. You and me both. This thinking that debt is good and no big deal is nucking futs.
