No proof they won’t be mediocre or worse.

We could have had Russell Wilson in the 3rd round but we drafted a WR who was a bust. I almost smashed my TV when we passed on Wilson.

Is it worth giving up a ton of draft picks for the chance to get Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, or Allen? I don’t think so.

He’s a super competitive guy who is used to winning. We’ve tried drafting QB in the first round and giving up 1st round picks for QB’s and that hasn’t worked out either.

If you are going to move up to two, who do you take? There isn’t a clear choice, imo.

Too many needs to go all in on a QB that may not pan out.

Franchise QBs can be had in later rounds. They don’t have to trade up.

Take a flier on the best 2nd tier QB and build around McCarron.

Sounds good. Get him some offensive lineman and WR’s and take a flier on a QB in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

In spite of all they know, almost half of 1st round picks flame out.

Glenn was overpaid, oft injured and expendable.

Rosen and Darnold aren’t slam dunks. They should stay put and see who falls to them.

My son graduated from UA last year. My only personal experience with AJ was at registration my son's freshman year. He was sitting near us in the cafeteria and he was very accommodating in getting pictures taken with him, even though he was trying to eat lunch. I never heard anything negative about him. By all accounts he's a good guy - with the exception that his wife went to Auburn.

Or maybe Mayfield is a more talented player.

How did a talent like Allen end up at Wyoming and a dud like Mayfield end up at Oklahoma?

I implied you can't focus exclusively on measurables.

I don't have anything against Allen.

Nothing wrong with having measurables provided tha tyou can play.

And you end up with Rob Johnson, JP Losman, and EJ Manual.

Haven't we had enough experience with QB's that have good measureables but suck?

Specifically who might go after him before we pick?
