  1. Let’s say we move up to 1 or 2 and the pick diesn’t work out? How far will that set us back? No way do I see us taking that chance.
  2. I think they should draft a QB, but they shouldn’t give up their whole draft board to do it.
  3. Kirk Cousins was drafted in the 4th round and was a backup to RGIII. Drew Brees was drafted in the 2nd round. Kurt Warner was undrafted. I don’t understand the outrage over thinking that McCarron might be successful.
  4. You are confusing the trade offer with McCarron’s free agency, which he won in arbitration. He wants to be a starter and apparently he felt that Buffalo gave him the best opportunity.
  5. Funny how some think that how much McCarron signed for has any relevance to how he might perform in the future. He’s a super competitive guy and he made it clear that he wants the opportunity to start. He could very well have turned down higher monetary offers to sign with the Bills.
  6. A crystal ball is forward looking and production to date is rear view mirror. Cleveland offered a 2nd and 3rd for him, but the deal fell through because they didn’t get the paperwork in before the trade deadline. You are getting this bent out of shape because I expect McCarron to do well? Wow. Since it is so irrational, I am really searching for an explanation.
  7. “Blinded and fervent defense”? Wow, really? Because I like the signing and I think he has the potential to be successful? Did Alabama wipe the floor with your favorite college team and that’s why you are trolling me?
  8. If the Bills didn’t have high expectations for McCarron, like I do, they wouldn’t have signed him. Do you have something against Alabama for some reason?
  9. There are negatives on every player even Joe Montana. One of the knocks on him was that we was weak armed. http://www.nbcsports.com/video/hall-fame-qb-joe-montana-responds-1979-nfl-draft-profile
  10. How do you know what is reasonable or unreasonable? Do you have a crystal ball? The guy won two national championships and he’s a heckuva competitor. I like his chances.
  11. I guess we’ll find out. If you want to root against him, be my guest. Beane and company have proved to be pretty good judges of talent so far.
  12. So I guess you have made up your mind that he will be a flop. What else is there to say? Clearly the Bills think differently or else they wouldn’t have signed him.
  13. He’s a pocket passer who played under center in a pro style offense in college and competed at the highest level. In his limited opportunities in the NFL he has played well. My expectations are high. I don’t see why he can’t be successful if he has some talent around him.
  14. I’ll be disappointed if we reach and get an EJ.
  15. We are talking Cleveland, lol. They aren’t known for making great personnel decisions.
  16. McCarron is a gunslinger who will throw the ball downfield. Think more Kelly than TT.
  17. TT has had a chance to prove himself and McCarron hasn’t.
  18. Cle offered a 2nd and 3rd but they messed up the trade deadline.
  19. Where is the proof that we are going to get a Big Ben by giving up our draft board? We could give up a ton of picks and still get Losman. There is an element of luck here. With all of our picks we are certain to get some very good players. He showed potential when thrown into difficult situations. That’s about all you can say at this point. Cleveland was going to give up 2nd and 3rd round picks for him.
  20. But you want to give up the draft board for Darnold or Rosen?
  21. McCarron is a pocket passer who played under center in a pro style offense. He has nothing to do with TT.
  22. I lived in WI at the time and was quite familiar with Wilson. Not saying go all in on McCarron. Draft a QB, but don’t give up the draft board.
  23. Dak Prescott - 4th round pick.
