I googled it and per Google he had a 90.5% conversion rate. That’s really high considering that’s over a 20 plus year career. Like I said I think some QBs excel l,others are good, and then you have the ones who just stink at it.
Agreed.
I have writ this sentiment here in the past and got lambasted for it. One who historically is wildly variable in results (reflective of his overall game) at it is Josh Allen, he can either be have and incredible effort as he did versus Dallas on Thanksgiving, just not make it like vs Jax a year ago or a disaster as he did versus Minnesota last year.

Some QBs are just excellent at the QB Sneak. I know as a Pats fan anything 3rd or 4th and 1 Brady would probably pick it up. Others stink at it.. (see Jones, Mac)
Yeah, brady of QB sneaks was incredible, dont know if he was as good as the Eagles but he was smooth, just go to the line, often rush to the line and get and easy 1 yards.

He was the defensive MVP against the Jets. TFLs, sack, 7 tackles, PD, etc. He was all over the field.
With the exception of Rasul Douglas

I'm guessing they'll come out with a rule that will not allow a player to be pushed when he (or she) is between the tackles and within 2 yards of the line of scrimmage.
Just reinstate the old one, no "assisting the runner", and that should be anywhere on the field, just not short yardage.
-
The problem with the play is that it morphs into other aspects of football. The NFL is gradually going to look more and more like rugby with people pushing runners forward. You see it all all levels now. There used to be a penalty for "assisting the runner", they was removed a few years ago. Now if a runner is stood up people try to push them forward which extends the play which, by definition, will increase the odds of injuries, prima facie.

Yeah, we'll see.
The Jets D has slipped though. They're ranked 12th in points allowed.
Yes but yesterdays result really skewed it, they are undoubtedly a great defense, especially considering their offense is so weak. I don't think there is more of an "uncomplimentary" team in the NFL, such a offense versus defense.

Jets were playing dirty all nights with the post whistle extra curriculars. Fitting a team from Dirty Jersey would play like a team deserving of the image. A bunch of low class punks on that team and I'm glad the Bills didn't collapse to it like the first game.
That is a Saleh trade mark, he encourages it, imo, takes some perverse pleasure in his team doing it which often results in dumb penalties.

I know this is going to come as a shocker to you so you might want to stand up. A QB can get rid of the ball faster than a defense can arrive. It's sort of like science or something.
What is the point of this ? Yes, we understand but putting pressure on the QB quicker forces rushed and often bad QB throws, be him sacked or not.

Have you ever listen to that podcast? Allen and Daboll have been on doing Deez nuts jokes. Are they possibly gay and/ or sex offenders?
it’s not that deep of a podcast.
Exactly and this is why athletes/ people hate talking to the media. The second you show personality, you get in trouble for it.
imagine if everyone acted like hockey players and showed zero personality. It would be so boring.
Just wait and see the number of pages this thread will create, wait to read all the people that are "outraged" over this. Watching the collateral damage and over-reactions is more entraining than the original "story" which is really a non-event.

Ahh, some logic out of Logic.
With a win we're back to a 27% chance of making the playoffs (the Jets would drop to 4%), which is a whole lot better than where we were at this time when we ended the drought in 2017. Reminder: November 19, 2017: Nathan Peterman gets the start and throws 5 INTs. The tank was on, but it didn't work. If it had worked we probably would've drafted Sam Darnold.
Believe!!!
Only 27% chance if we win versus the Jets? Mathematically maybe but hat sounds incredibly low considering how bunched up the AFC is. Assume Miami, Baltimore, Jax and Chiefs win their conference, that leaves 3 spots for Buffalo, Cinci, Pitts, Browns and the last three beat up on each other. Maybe throw in the Raiders and Texans

Sometimes the best thing a leader can do is get out of the way and let the people you are "supposed" to trust to run the show.
If he doesn't trust Dorsey, then he made the wrong hire and that is still on mcdermott.
Do you think Andy reid tells spags how he wants the defence to be played?
I would almost guarantee that answer is a no
Well we disagree. Again quoting you, "fingerprint on the offense to some degree". Totally unrealistic. So if Dorsey wants to go for it on 4th and long in Q1, according to your logic, McD is not supposed to stop it.

If this is the "scientific" explanation, I cant wait to hear the "unscientific" explanation.

We know for sure that McDermott had his fingerprints on the offence in some degree.
Dorsey and McDermott admitted so in an article about a month back.
How much? That we don’t know.
I think we can also read between the lines a little as well.
MCD all off season preached about how Josh needs to be smart and not take big hits.
”Coincidentally “ , this is by far Joshs lowest rushing totals/attempts of his career.
WTH did you expect? Do you expect the HC would not have his fingerprint on the offense "to some degree"? So he "admitted" it did he?
If he had said, I dont do ANYTHING on the offensive side of the ball, people would be screaming to have him fired.

I'm from NY and have lived in North Texas unfortunately for 20 years.
Sad you didnt enjoy it. North Texas is pretty vague, parts I am sure aren't anywhere I would want to live in, other parts are probably pretty nice. If you were unhappy, dont know why your stuck it out 20 years.
But to the point of these thread, the widow with a potential franchise QB ON A ROOKIE CONTRACT with a lot of draft capital and a good young HC, all the arrows are pointed upwards for the Texans. Like GoBills404 stated, great feeling for the Texans like 2020 for the Bill fans when Josh had his breakout year.

What is so bad about Texas that you had to add that to your response?
I don't live in Texas. Have been there a few times (Dallas and Austin are nice places) And I don't live in the Buffalo area (did when I was younger) so I am curious what that is about?
A lot of Western New Yorkers have these prejudicial images of Texans driving pickup truck with a shotgun and chewing tobacco. Most with those prejudicial thoughts have rarely been to Texas much lest out of the Nprth East.

6-3 loss to the Browns.
Memorable because I believe Jauron got fired after that one.
I also recall a game against the Jags, Leftwich was the QB. Jags completed (4) 4th Downs on the final drive, including a 4th and 20 something. Won it with a TD on the final 4th down as time expired. That was a kick in the crotch
6-3 Browns was the Worst pro game every played. The winning QB, Derek Anderson, was 2-17 for 27 yards and an int.

That was when Fitz and the Bills were on a hot streak, during which we decided to extend Fitz (Buddy Nix) to and expensive extention.

I like Fitzie as well as most Bill fans abut we have ZERO idea if he has any desire, ability or inclination to do it. He is a natural on TV and well liked even beyond Buffalo, why would he abandon that.

Also, who instructs the returners on kickoffs to return the ball when they have defenders on top of them, any of them know the rule for a fair catch to start at the 25?
