I have similar sentiments to the Tua extension.  Not enough years and not enough dollars!

Agreed but they were in a no win situation on Tua, they "had to" and now live with the risk every time he gets the ball.  Reminds me of  another small Alabama quarterback, Bryce Young.  Throw in the dirty player Mack Jones, both Jones and Yound are  borderline busts.

Remember the snarky remarks that she was just a little rich girl with a hobby? Yeah, that all looks pretty silly and ignorant now. She is a world class athlete and could not be where she is without incredible work ethic.

I recall those remarks from a few years ago even at that point she had won over $1 million bucks and some "savants" on this board belittling her.  Last time I looked she was well over $10 million.

Not fear. Hate. Hate for private equity firms that are a cancer on the world.

All they do is put people out of work, kill small business and competition, and drive up costs.

Housing, the trades (plumbers, electricians, etc), veterinarians, dentists, hospitals, even ***** renaissance fairs. All are being bought out, to the tune of billions a year, by private equity looking to suck the life and profit out of these entities before they dump the asset.

Of course there is some hyperbole in the thread about the NFL because the owners may be greedy but I dont see them losing their teams either. But letting these vultures in the door wont lead to anything being better for us fans.

"Not fear.  Hate.  "are a cancer on the world".  Wont waste more time reading more of your hysteria.

Underscore my point  fear and ignorance.  Trying to have a rational conversation with you on this matter is fruitless.

Panera and Dunkin are both owned by private equity firms. Their quality and service have gone down tremendously, to the massive detriment of customers. Today's 10% becomes tomorrow's 30% and then over 50% after that. It's a Pandora's Box that the NFL just opened and you take it so lightly.

Because Panera and Dunkin are owned by private equity firm's and, in your opinion, have both gone down dramatically.  Yep, that is an PERFECT example of private equity going to ruin the NFL.

This is what I said and about fear and ignorance and it is way beyond this board.

There is no comparison between a private equity owning a company and private equity owning a non-football decision making investment limited to 10%.  If you cant comprehend that, it is up to you.

There is no logic to what you wrote, none.

I guess by your standard your should NEVER invest in a public traded stock or take your firm public because there have been many bankruptcies of publicly traded companies.  Fear and ignorance.

You really think the Jerry Jones's of the world are going to risk the NFL standard, not a chance.

Not with a new stadium being built.   Maybe with that extra cash flow, Terry would have put a dome on the new stadium?

Someone actually thinking about the process.  I think you comment re Pegula is spot on, especially when a franchises needs CASH and wants to do some capital improvements with the facilities/stadium.

  5. Some of these responses only demonstrate the extreme ignorance and unrealistic fear.    I think this discussion is way beyond this board.

Only 10%, no football decision input but the panic starting with the title "feeding itself to the sharks", LOL.  Private equity is just another tool in these billion dollar investment.  It is a financial necessity for some franchisees,   Do you all just want only multi-billionaires owning NFL franchises because that will be the end result.

I can't believe I read that whole article.  Sadly enough, it wasn't the biggest waste of my time today.

Which is worse, you reading the entire article or myself reading responses to it up to here.

You saved me the time to read the entire thing, thanks.

Cody Ford, I thought he was going to be a very good guard.  I recall when they drafted him about what a steal he was and how versatile he was going to be, could ultimately been moved to tackle...blah blah blah.  Bust for a second round pick.  Not even starting with the Bengals now.

Some team's third string guy will be better than Trubisky. Both the Browns 3rd and 4th string guys are better than Trubisky.

Even if true you think the Browns keep 4 qbs, no way, if we are that desperate we can get him off waivers eventually.

“Brian Flores went 19-14 his last 2 seasons. The Dolphins fired him, hired McDaniel, acquired Hill, Armstead, Mostert, Chubb, and Ramsey and have proceeded to go *checks notes* 20-16 (including playoffs) his first 2 seasons with a 3-9 record from week 14 on.”

I wasn’t then, now am I now any kind of Flores fan, I don’t think he’s HC material, but I also don’t believe this nerd with the homemade T-shirts is HC material, possibly a very good coordinator and that’s ok.

When I first heard McDaniels talk, I thought the Dolphins were going to be a disaster being lead by this bizarre idiot savant BUT i have to admit, thus far, I have been proven wrong.  Maybe the McDaniels luck/ magic will finally run out this year and I also think Tua has reached his ceiling.  The only way the Dolphins can beat the Josh Allen Bills is by having the game in Miami under intolerable conditions with no shade for the Bills.

    Thanks.

In other words, big deal over next to nothing.

Yeshe has a great 82 yard punt for the Bills, that I will never forget.

Eventually it happens. But think of all the times those teams stumbled trying to get out of their own way. It’s hard to break the cycle and I’m not sure the combination of Rogers, Saleh, and Johnson are up for it. But that roster is talented if everything goes right they could win the division.

IMO, the Texans, being in Houston faced reality, the doofus son of the owner was not up to the job, but someone relinquished the control to his B*%$& wife is a winner.

All three got "lucky" with franchise QBs, the Jets, LOL.  Actually the most impressive to me are the Lions.

  11. 2 hours ago, LEBills said:

Depends on Rodgers and the Jets because they are talented. It’s hard for a dysfunctional franchise to stop being dysfunctional. I can’t see the Dolphins beating us for the division. Their DL is pretty rough with Wilkins gone and their DE injuries.

Bills somehow did it as dd the Texans, Bengals and the Lions.

Probably because we were stumbling with Dorsey’s offense and Josh had to do SOMETHING and that something involved Josh lowering his shoulder.

If under Dorsey, we called less QB runs but Josh had to run more because the play was broken/didn’t work, it’s really 6 and 1/2 dozen. Either way, Josh ran too much with him throwing clipboard in the booth. Sayonara to the EPA king.

The throwing of the clipboard in the booth gif was cute but also the most overhyped of all time.  shocker a coach throughs something at the end of s game after a disastrous play.

I was in one of the Delta Clubs in Atlanta (terminal B) a few weeks ago.  A woman was at the bar, Bills shirt, Bills hat, Bills bag.  Can't remember if she had Zubaz on also.

Did you try to buy them from the person wearing them?

never crossed my mid, the shirts were "heavily worn", i would not want it if they were given to me.

Don’t you have your own cesspool forum to post on?

Although a bit of an excessive comment on the original authors post, Actually he/she is correct.  I used to travel extensively to some pretty impoverished countries, Coot De Ivoire, Nigeria, Venezuela, Columbia and sad to to say, in some of the most remote of towns I would see Bills gear, especially T-Shirts proclaiming we were super Bowl champions.

That's amazing. For such a ***** school with so much piss poor football and how miserable that state is I am glad they can call Todd Collins among their best. How fitting for a disgusting team, state, and University that has only the all time worst things in the history of the world and universe right there.

    Todd F'Collins!!

Also JJ mCCarthy throws like a school girl.
