  1. Actually I don't think it is setting him up for failure as much as it is setting him up to prove himself without his go to WR. If he is really "set up to fail" because of one player than he isn't the franchise QB we are looking for anyway.

And what was Sammy's great contribution last year, 430 yards and 2 Tds, so setting up for failure seems to be an exaggeration to begin with.

  2. It could be a tank, too many variables and lack of real information on what has been going on since the new regime has taken over. Next year with a 1 2 3 and 7rd round pick added the Bills could easily move up and get a real shot at if not the best QB candidate one of the top 2 or 3. Maybe with 2 #1s and the other new picks they could move to the top of the draft, that is of course if we aren't naturally at the top of the draft, a mighty battle between the Bills, Browns and Jets.

  3. Ok. Then get rid of Tyrod, Shady and Kyle.

    Don't half ass the tank.

And Sammys 24 YO potential superstar if giving the balls. He's not 35.

There is NO reason to trade him.

Three very legit reasons to trade him.

    1) He has been hurt far too often.

    2) Last year of his contract.

    3) If by some miracle he stays healthy and has a great season, god only knows how much he is going to cost. Is there ANY indication he would give the Bills any hometown discount? None that I can tell.

So what is the difference with Sammy on the Bills or not this year, MAYBE with him we can eek out a 7-9 season, so what does that accomplish, nada. Anyone that really thought having a POETNAIL superstar (if healthy) like Sammy would make a difference beyond some season tickets sales and a game or two is kidding themselves.

  4. Wrong.

The Pegulas ARE dumb. No sports acumen whatsoever.

"Wrong", yeah ok, that is your opinion, we shall see how's opinion is correct.

It doesn't take any rocket science to figure out if you embark on a rebuild it will take a few years. I believe they most likely would have kept Ryan if the product on the field had not been an uter embarrassment. Everyone know, esp the Pegula's to expect very little in the W/L column for at least the new two years.

  5. s I posted earlier, Pegula(s) will not fire anyone for the next two years unless they are an utter embarrassment to the franchise as was Rex. They have most likely already "signed off" on a rebuild. This is a brave and imo, the RIGHT move by the Pegula's. They took their time, weren't swayed by smooth talking promoter (Rex). They are giving this new regime alL the tools they want AND A REASONABLE AMUNT OF TIME to prove themselves.

  6. What have we added so far, a 1,2 3, 7th rnd picks, Sammy was going to be too much $ anyway if he remained healthy. I like the move.

Poor Tyrod Taylor, this is going to really hurt his big payday without his go to WR. I think that is another signal the Bills are ready to tank this year and load up with a real POTENTIAL franchise QB.

Purge the Whaley/Rex era. The new regime is going to own this legacy 100%, we will see what happens 2-3 years from now. I lie the gamble, maybe Brady will have retired finally by then.

Dolphins going other direction, all in this year. Jets and Bills, we will see in a few years which has a better FO/coaching.

  7. What I don't understand is this. 1.They have TT which was a backup under Dennison in Baltimore. 2. They sign Yates as a backup to teach the offense. 3 They draft a QB that has a decent arm at best that was never projected to go earlier than the 5th round.4 They complete ignored CJ upside. So they trade him for a worse player (Yates). Now they have realized or realizing that trading CJ will eventually bite them. Why? Because there is no guarantee that a 1st rounder is gonna pan out and it's an expensive price. How many really have???

I disagree on Peterman, Lance Zierlien one of the best in the business had him going in the 3rd-4th and no they didn't

trade Cardale for Yates. And Zierlein was not the only one, I think most would conclude the Bills got Peterman a round or 2 early.

And how do you conclude they realize trading Cardale will eventually bite them? Because Antonio Gates said from watching him a few weeks in camp Cardale has an "unlimited ceiling"? So did Jemarcus Russell. Cardale, his size is obvious, now just get him to be able to work like a dog a la Tom Brady and magically start throwing the ball accurately.

  8. Yates has actually won a post season NFL playoff game, so he is at least proven to be "serviceable". Certainly can say the same thing about Cardale.

Cardale is bigger, less motivated EJ Manuel. And them both of them, can you fix their inaccurate arms? Highly unlikely. Good thing to ship Cardale off, send a message to the rest of the team.... reports were out he was more interested in flying back to Ohio than succeeded at TC.

We should be happy we got anything for Cardale. One more wasted Whaley/Rex legacy pick.
