great points about the AFC Least during the Patriots dynasty as well...

No good QBs, only decent HC I can even think of for any real competition was Rex Ryan, who had a few good years with NJ.

NE basically started every year 6-0 and went from there. There was almost no challenge at all in division. The list of Bills, Jets, and Dolphins QBs during that decade and a half is laughable.

The division was such an incredible mismatch. Now we get good and there's another great team (record wise) and a HOF QB in the division as well

It is even worse than that.

What is the #1 concern for a HC every year, the QB and consistency.  Brady's consistency was ridiculous.  Every year but 1 Belichek, after about 2005, had zero worries about who was going to be QB, nada.

Absolutely, and by a lot, imo.

Not only is it physically grueling, but you can only psyche yourself up to beat the begeesus out of yourself so many times before the burnout becomes real. So we're seeing a lot of games with a lot of checked out players, which waters down the fans viewing experience as well.

You think about it and realize they start playing in August and keep going right through January and into February and that is 6 months of football. Trying to maintain that level of intensity and execution for a half a year is not realistic and isn't good for anybody except the guys making money off it.

I think Jax is a prime example of that, they ran out of steam ,much like the collapse of the Eagles.

The fumble wasn’t bizarre. Torrence got beaten so bad by Wilkins, he didn’t even slow him down. It was embarrassing.

Allen stepped up in the pocket away from the pressure (which is probably the right play) and Wilkins made a great play to strip and recover. Maybe he should have just eaten the sack, but he had to make that decision in 500 milliseconds, so it is understandable his instinct would be to step up.

How about our IOL slows down the other team’s DTs for 1 second so Allen can at least scramble away from the pressure?

I am afraid Torrence has hit the "rookie wall" but the continuity with the rest of the line is paramount.

  4. Looking at "strength of schedule" this time of year are historically inaccurate and misleading.

With that caveat, one team I dont want to face is a young Texans teams heavy with draft capital and with key stars entering their second season, notably QB sensations CJ Stroud on his rookie contract.

Miami brought a ton of pressure.  More bodies than we can block many times.  You beat it with Diggs deep ball and Kincaid getting open quickly.

Yeah I agree and the pass to Diggs when he had two steps on the defenders was all on josh, should have been a easy TD .

15/30 and 50% is hardly ok.

    I totally disagree.

Using selective stats during horrible conditions, we couldn't run either.

Bills had 9 first down throwing versus 1 for NE.  Bills had 1 1st down rushing.  Jones had 19 total yards passing versus 145 for Josh.  Most of the Bills throws were late in the game right into the wind and Patriots could concentrate on defending the pass.

Josh was able to throw the ball in that game, they didn't do it until they had no choice and then it was like oh I guess he could have done it after all.

    Agreed.

I vividly remember how giddy Belichek was after the game, he knew damn well that the better team lost and he stole one away from McDermott.  That is one game I will never forget.  One game I can never forget and blame is on McDermott.  Much like the KC-Bills game fiasco under Rex Ryan where he made multiple blunders including two poor challenges and two challenges he should have called.  Then the blowhard after the game stuck his foot in his mouth when he said after being an NFL HC for 7 years, didn't how how the replay cameras worked on challenges.  I was permanently done with Rex immediately after that.

Yeah that arm really cut threw that wind in that NE game 🙄

It sure as heel wasn't Josh's fault.

We got WILDLY outcoached by Belichek,  what did mac jones, complete 3 Passes?  How do you lose a game like that, coaching.  Now in THAT particular game i blame it squarely on two people, McDermott and the OC for not using our QB competitive strength until the game was almost  too far gone and THEN Allen started to throw it.

Man he would be completely unstoppable if he could get rid of those stupid picks.

    I mean 20-0 every year

    Yes and bizarre fumble.

I will live and die with Allen but he had a terrible first half and he missed a WIDE OPEN Diggs on a long bomb.  Game should not have been close and that decision to go for it in the center of the field with no time outs and 15 seconds in the first half.  Had we lost by 3 or less, the fire McDermott threads would be all the rage,

    THANK YOU!!

without his pick-6 and Harty's PR/TD, we'd be the same .500 at 3-3 and 2-4 in the division.

Meanwhile, Diggs has been at half his prior production, all but literally, with only one TD, Allen's passing numbers are down, or PPG are down by 1.2, and Cook's YPC average is 3.6 in six games apart from one Dallas game as an extreme statistical outlier with his next two best having been earlier this season, and with not one other even slightly impressive rushing performance in those games.

It's that a good thing.  Asking rhetorically.

Re Diggs, he had two steps on his defender yesterday and ALLEN MISSED HIM Badly or that would have been an ESPN highlight!

Too bad we don’t have a dome. Inclement weather always favors the lesser team by leveling the playing field a bit. Just have to hope it doesn’t get too bad and the Bills crush the Steelers as they should.

Stop with the dome non-sense or are you going to complain about it for the next 50 years.

Bills are supposedly built for winter weather difficult games and got the one of a 2-3 QBs that have the strength to counter the wind.

  12. I just went to the Dolphins message board, wow.

I think negativity was extreme at TBD was bad, Dolphins is worse.  Fans all complaining about injuries and who was responsible for Chubb getting hurt (McDaniels or Fangio) and comparing this to the 1993 season when the dolphins were 9-3, Marino got hurt and they missed the playoffs.  Not many Dolphins fans excited at all about this upcoming game.

    Diigs

The Dolphins arent going to make the same mistake.  Or I hope they do and do not put Jalen Ramsey on Diggs, that is why Diggs literally had a field day receiving.  If Fangio is that stupid again I wont want to hear about was a defensive guru he is.

  13. Buy: Dion Dawkins and James Cook.  Dion has had some great games recently and no Bradley Chubb, the shnowman is going to plow ahead opening big holes for Cook   Also Ed Oliver will continue on his recent tear of great play

Sell: Bills special teams (sans Bass)

    Hold:  Dorian Williams.

NFL Network is reporting that Josh is banged up after the last game.  Hopefully he will be good to go on Sunday.

But this raises a key issue -- do you want Kyle Allen starting a game?  Given the way Josh plays, its only a matter of time before he gets a injury that has him sitting on the sidelines for a while.

We all saw this year that a capable backup can take you pretty far.  We need to be in a better position next year.

Anyone with a room temperature IQ could tell Josh was a little "banged up" at the end of the game, dont need the "breaking news" from NFL Network.

And no right now it is not a "key issue", game Sunday is the key issue, not next years backup QB.
