For someone who doesn't bet, what does the second number mean? The one with the + or - sign. -

Jim Kelly, "something wrong" if Bills don't take East

Too soon. -
I know this isn't fully equatable... but I have over 70 seasons worth of game experience on Madden and much of that on its highest difficulty level. Over the past 15 years, I can say with certainty that my ability to read defenses, find open receivers, understand coverage shells, understand passing concepts, know when to throw with touch vs zip, and all other "mental" aspects of quarterbacking have improved markedly with time. Again, I know it's just a video game, but a read is a read, a progression is a progression, etc... just because I don't have the physical ability to play in the NFL doesn't mean I can't get a good grasp on the mental part of it with enough experience. The point is, processing the field is something that can get better with time and practice if you have the underlying mental capacity for it. Eventually, if you do have that mental capacity, at some point the lightbulb will go on and things do start to slow down. It's just like learning something new at work: first you are a little slow because you are concentrating on every new detail, but as you become familiar with the new task you can put some of those details in the back of your head on autopilot while you use most of your focus on the critical details. I fully believe that Josh does have that ability, and with time and practice he will become better at reading defenses, finding open receivers, and throwing good passes with more consistency than we've seen. In fact it's remarkable that he's as far along as he already is considering how little exposure to football he's had comparatively speaking. I'd be more concerned if he had more football experience under his belt but was only as far along as he currently is.

That was my bad. I wasn't aware of the pre-snap lineup. I know what a wheel route is, I was just assuming that's what the FB ran. The reason why DiMarco ran a go route is because of how the EP offense works. It blends formation audibles with specific personnel to create mismatches. DiMarco was meant to draw double coverage on his go route in order to open up Brown to single coverage (and it worked). The key to the EP is a QB who can quickly recognize and exploit the matchup problems that arise from how a given play is called. Josh is only getting better at that. This is his make or break year with this offense.

Tbf, wheel routes run by FBs are never a primary target on a given play. For example, if a linebacker chooses to blitz upon reading a certain protection, that might give the FB a chance to run the route uncovered. Certain zone coverage shells will also have soft spots for a receiver running a wheel route. If DiMarco was doubled covered and Allen threw the ball to him, that's not DiMarco's fault or Daboll's fault (at least I assume Daboll wouldn't have a FB as his primary read). That has nothing to do with whether or not DiMarco should have been on the field and everything to do with Allen making a poor decision.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Because some people here are convinced that the media is the arm of one group (the Democrats) that is actively trying to control the masses and the country by subverting democracy. They claim this media is continuing on their crusade to discredit the president at every turn during the pandemic, as they believe that these reports are simply "fake news" meant to keep the sheep in their pens. But this whole worldview breaks down when one points out that the former leader of the Democratic party (aka the party that controls the media narrative) was himself the victim of fake news at multiple points during his presidency. At least I assume that's what @ExiledInIllinois's point was. -

Didn't Tyrod post the highest passer rating out of any QB since Kelly during his time here? I know all those QBs sucked to some degree, but he was probably the most serviceable starter we had between Allen and Kelly. -
Should absentee ballots be illegal?

As long as there are free ID's available in all 50 states for those in extreme poverty, then I'm totally cool with voter IDs as a requirement. Money shouldn't be an obstacle to voting, in ANY amount. That's also why election day should be a national holiday. -
A Compilation of Some of Josh's Bad? Throws
Capco replied to JESSEFEFFER's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I noticed that too. The only way to bring his average down that much would be if he was throwing a lot of deep balls. The only thing I can think of is that some throws are weighted differently, or only certain throws are being looked at. I did think the "4" might be a typo and that his completion % was 58.3%, but it was actually 58.8% last year. So that's probably not it either. -

Multiple analyses show this to be true. It started with Reagan and has been that way for some time. It's also entirely why people like Bernie have come to the forefront, as a backlash to how far right the country has moved as a whole over the last 40 years. The dismantling of the middle class as the source of American greatness, only to be replaced by corporate America, is central to the deregulation of the 80s. This is where the Democrats and Republicans reside on an objective, political spectrum of Western democracies. -

Idk dude. Logic dictates that if the establishment is selling one narrative, then alternative narratives automatically hold more weight. Unfortunately this site didn't get a "Very Low" rating, which probably means the establishment has infiltrated their ranks to some extent. One must read between the lines to get a clear picture. I feel stupider just for writing that, but that's actually how these clowns think... -

Fluid dynamics is fascinating. Look up the Navier-Stokes equations sometimes if you really want to get an appreciation for how difficult it is to attempt to model "simple" things like a sneeze. That's not specifically what is being modeled in that video but that's what it immediately made me think of. -

1,3 and 8 here as well. Glad to see such consensus.

This analysis somewhat neglects the fact that the modern NFL sees more running back by committee than true workhorse type backs from years past. You can only have 1 starter but you might have 2-3 regular contributors that have similar levels of production.
