I try to catch him weekly. He’s been all in on McDermott, Allen, and the Bills since offseason of 2019. But I truly enjoy his stuff because of what you just described. He never holds back the good OR the bad. Very direct. It’s refreshing. He’ll heap praise when it’s there to heap and then the next week say the exact same dude left something to be desired. It’s really saying something if Simms is ripping the defense and the coaching of it because he has praised them routinely over the last 2 years. FWIW I totally agree with him on the D. Not only is it a leaky sieve but the creative looks we’ve seen in the past seem to be gone. What a mess. I agree, if you aren’t gonna be able to stop anyone take some freaking chances and increase your odds of maybe making a big play or 2.

Yup. That’ll happen playing teams like the jags, jets and freakishly injured Niners as opposed to 4 straight games against teams with a combined record of 17-5. Regardless of their points scored or against they’ve played an easier schedule and have a worse record. Anyone saying they are the best team in the East, up to this point, looks completely foolish.

This is all fair. I agree with all of it. But I’m not gonna pretend like he was any good or that Mahomes wasn’t good(he was). Alleb really wasn’t on the mark and I agree that context is needed. An interesting tidbit about the “missed” throw to Motor. Chris Simms was breaking down the game the other day and said “Singletary f***** him over” on that play. I guess it’s well understood that was gonna be and should have been a wheel route and in that situation. Simms claimed Allen put that ball exactly where it should have been. I found that interesting. I know at the time I was super annoyed by that miss.

speaking of a team thats played basically nobody all year.... Its funny how there are certain teams that the SOS argument never pops up for. I'd bet a LARGE sum of money the Steelers wouldnt be undefeated with our schedule. I'd also be confident in saying we could be 5-0 with theirs. Although the browns run game would give us absolute fits..... I will admit the Pitt looks like arguably the most complete team in the league right now though. i cant think of a harder schedule than what buffalo has dealt with up to this point. We get a brief one week break here and then it ramps right back up again. Just a freaking gauntlet

basically 99% of the time i would agree with you but with how bad the jets have been i honestly think anything other than having our way with them is a very promising going forward. Team a close game with the jets up with how the whole team has looked over the last couple weeks and i think i'll finally start to panic a bit. i'm not there yet though. I'm very big on stacking wins and being completely unapologetic about how they happened.... IMO this one is a little different.

oh lord, i hope we get good Josh Allen. Gannon can be brutal on the qb's. I remember our last london game he held nothing back when breaking down manuel or bortles that day. I was laughing at how brutally honest he was.
