Agreed, it’s not sustainable for sure but may work for a week. That holds especially true when Blake Bortles is across the field. He’s certainly capable of throwing the Bills a few short fields. If (big if) they can slow the run on the early downs and force Bortles to make plays they have a chance this week.

I gotta wonder if there’s any sort of scenario where they really stack it up front and tell our FINALLY healthy secondary to freaking earn their cheddar. I get that’s not really their scheme. But I gotta think those boys could handle it for at least durations.

Player for player I can’t say jax db’s are significantly better than ours. And can you imagine the raw numbers our safeties would have with a front putting up 55 sacks?

We were robbed in the Seattle game at a minimum of 2 times by the Refs.   Unabated  hit on the kicker was never flagged and the Bills had to waste a TO because of it IIRC

That last drive.... my god it felt so certain they were gonna pull it out. What a nut punch that was.

Regardless. It’s the same sort of situation. On the road against an elite defense and nobody gave the bills a shot and Taylor rose up for the first 59:30 of it. Can only hope we get something similar.... where he actually comes up in the clutch obviously. Lol.

I hope his thing isn't sitting on the bench with a towel on his head again. If they hold him in the pocket to be a QB this game is over by halftime. Tyrod needs to step up big time for this game.

    Go Bills

While there’s nothing incendiary about your  post(for a change) and I slightly agree I found the halftime comment funny as you’ve claimed over the 2nd half of the season, numerous times, games would be over by halftime if Tyrod even saw the field.

So I see this basically as a PC version of you claiming it’ll be done by halftime instead of the usual over the top dramatic narratives. Lol.

We all just need to pray he gets in the zone and finds last years renditions of Seattle and game 2 vs Miami.

    2 games with 10 sacks.

8 INTs against Russell Wilson and Big Ben.

Flacco had a QBR of 0.8, the 5th lowest of any QB in a decade.

Opponents scored 10 or fewer points in 8 of our 16 games.

Every member of our starting secondary has at least 4 INTs.

But we just aren't dominant...  you guys are hard to please.

Dude you went 10-6 with the easiest schedule in the league. That’s literally ONE game better than us.

Again I’ll say the jags should be favored but this isn’t some 12-4 or 13-3 squad we are taking about here. Good lord.

Dominat teams finish with records better than 10-6.

    THANK YOU!

not to mention jags fans should legit be afraid of bortles tossing into our secondary. The jags aren’t the only team with a turnover savvy secondary. 2 safeties with 5 picks and a defensive ROY candidate with 4 more.

I am at a breaking point.  We should all be celebrating this week.  Instead it is the same absolute nonsense.  Andy Dalton gets 170k to his charity for one pass.  Tyrod leads the team to a 9-6 record and gets no credit.  Tyrod gets benched and responds by leading the team to a 4-2 record and the playoffs for the first time in forever.

Either QB is end all be all and Tyrod should get credit for leading the Bills to the playoffs

    OR

QB isn't as important as some claim it to be and the Bills made the playoffs in spite of him.

You can't hold both opinions unless apparently it involves Tyrod.  We are in the freaking playoffs and people want to whine about our qb still?  How about thanks for getting us to the playoffs?  How about thanks for ending the drought?  Nope the same inane duh Tyrod is terrible duh.  We know what Tyrod is and right now that is the QB of the Playoff Buffalo Bills.  After the playoffs end we can resume hearing about how xrushx, shady, twoandfourteen and others KNOW that Tyrod is the antichrist.  While the playoffs are on and the Bills are alive ENJOY IT FOR PETES SAKE

To all of you that said Tyrod could never do it, to those that said the Bills would go 4-12, to those of you who said he is a backup qb or rb at best in this league, to those of you that said Nate freaking Peterman starting was still a good decision even after the results, to those of you who wouldn't be optimistic after week 15 or even week 16 because Tyrod was sure to lose to the Dolphins, to those of you who can't enjoy this without complaining about Tyrod I've got 2 words for you.  SUCK IT.  The Bills are in the playoffs and Tyrod got them there.

I dealt with the stupid CoT nonsense all offseason and all year and I feel vindicated.  "The CoT" kept saying with a competent defense the Bills could be a playoff team with Tyrod at the helm.  In the words of one of my favorite posters around here:  Tyrod just pantsed all you haters!

Go Bills!  !@#$ Doug Marrone and !@#$ the Jags!  and if you want to B word about Tyrod instead of the Bills being in the playoffs then !@#$ you too!!!

    Let's go!!!!!!!

first bolded made me chuckle becuz its so true....

2nd bolded is also very true. I was ready to move on last season. I wanted a qb at 10 but even with all that being said I knew there were games to be won with taylor at qb as long as he had some help. he'll always need help. that's what type of player he is..... and that's OKAY as long as the front office knows this as well and plans accordingly.

Winning the division is not backing into the playoffs. Needing help to secure a wild card is.

losing your last 2 games is backing in.... going 4-2 to close out the year with a win at the end of the season while the other team fighting for the spot loses, literally couldn't be further from backing in.

that's just stupid. stop it.... and go away.

I like Taylor, I just don't love him.

He is tentative, we do see a "typical" game out him more often than not.    Lame as they are there is a bit of truth to them.

Now quick delete these before the word gets out

I don't even know you anymore.... seriously..... I don't even know how to react to this.

At one point he actually threw three TD's in a row in that game.  Clay got called for offensive PI, then he dropped one, then Taylor hit Shady in the end zone.  The Tampa game Taylor hit Thompson on a 44 yard pass to set up Shady's 7 yard run that tied it and then next drive after 2 runs for one yard converted 3rd and 9.  Then two more runs for zero yards he hit Shady for a 9 yard gain that set up the winning FG.   The TD that Taylor threw that hit Zay Jones square in the hands and bounced off and Holmes caught it was a good highlight real play.

that was actually tawain jones wasn't it? could be mistaken. no biggie. we're on the same page. lol

Like I said before, the Dolphins should be a cautionary tale for all Bills fans heading into 2018.

They were a very good team last year (much better than this years Bills team) and were expected to be a SB contender this year by most experts (including myself). But a season ending injury to their franchise QB and other suspensions/injuries heading into the 2017 campaign pretty much derailed their season. Although you still have to give Gase a lot of credit for getting them off to a 4-2 start even if it was a mirage in hindsight.

this is BS. I saw plenty of media coverage coming into the season saying that all the one score games the7 snuck by in 16 probably wouldn't go their way in 17.

    "expert". lol

This is the internet.   You can't believe everything.

My opinion has not changed in over 2 years.  Had you paid attention (or were on your meds)  you might have noticed.

FTR...  what lame nicknames have I called you?  Stank?  That is your alias?      26NateHater is reserved for 26Corner Blitz.

whoops. that was a typo..... meant to say "him" as in taylor. you've never called me any names, my man.

Taylor has done a lot of good things for this team.

The problem was (which is why I believe people speak against him) he just cant seem to finish out strong.

I hope he proves me wrong.

unusually fair take from you. must be we caught you on one of your medicated days where you aren't calling him lame nicknames and talking about how the team only wins in spite of him..... solid change of pace.

While I agree in theory, White single handedly won games for the Bills this year.

Lattimore made a major impact for the Saints defensively but they won games this year primarily with their offense which has always been the case, only difference is instead of Brees having to put up 300+ yards every game they did it with a very dynamic rushing offense.

this really isn't very accurate. the saints always have an offense as you stated but they don't win a significant amount of games in the years their defense has been awful. its when the defense shows up in any sort of way that brees is in championship contention. saints had the 10th scoring defense this year and 17th overall in yds. HUGE jumps in both categories from previous years. Lattimore is direct contributor there.

while there is a very good argument for white, Lattimore basically played 4 less games and his raw numbers stack up with whites 16 game season. Lattimore will probably win it and he'll deserve it.

I never said I wanted to vote you out either. I said that I want to vote “idiots” out.  If people are using this week to complain about the QB I think that they are idiots. Any of the last 936 weeks is acceptable but this week we should enjoy. It’s just unfathomable to me that Bills fans could be complaining this week.

Check his posting history (or any of his last 3 names) and see if you see a common theme...

both these statements are 100% accurate.

Complete b.s.  Up until their loss to SF in W16 they were in the running for a 1st round bye, and there's no way in hell Marrone wanted to lose again to the Titans, knowing it was likely they would face them again this week.  They just lost, plain and simple, and didn't look good.

You started out strong and classy in this thread but you're deteriorating rapidly.

    right.

The difference is I don't want to vote you out of existence. I welcome alternate opinions just not intolerance.

I would totally agree with your stance any other week of the year at any other point in my life..... but this week?...... this week I feel like anyone complaining and nit picking is a freaking jerk and needs to find a hole to go crawl into and maybe never come out. I've said it numerous times already. this week really brought about a lot of peoples true colors and is speaking volumes about certain people around here.

  15. geez this is awful

and the quote below is the exact opposite of how I handle being a fan. after any loss when I've felt my mood swinging I ALWAYS look around at my home, my wife and kids and realize there is no way i'm gonna let a game ruin the rest of my families weekend.... and so I bury it nice and deeeeepppp. lol.

Bortles had a pretty good three game stretch earlier in December, but his last two weeks haven't been good with 5 INTs.

whats funny is he had been getting praised before the 3 game stretch of great games for just playing efficient mistake free football..... funny how that translates into a good thing when you have an all world defense bailing you out, but another can get crucified for the exact same type of play.

Ranking the NFL's 12 playoff QBs: Brady, Brees, then who?

    10. Tyrod TaylorBuffalo Bills

    Regular-season stats: 263-for-420 (62.6 percent), 2,799 yards, 14 TDs, 4 INTs, 56.4 Total QBR

Taylor triggers quarterback-evaluation debates frequently. His own team benched him despite a 5-4 start, something that didn't last long after backup Nathan Peterman threw five first-half interceptions. But like Bortles, Taylor did well in the role he was asked to play in the Buffalo offense. The Bills were the only NFL team to run the football more than pass it in 2017, leaning heavily on LeSean McCoy as the focal point. Taylor isn't the kind of quarterback to routinely carry his offense, but he's protective of the ball (he has thrown just four interceptions this season) and is a unique threat on both designed runs and scrambles.

cant really disagree with this.... although the one argument I might put up is that jville would be just as good if not a bit better with taylor at qb. but that's picking nits. bortles played solid ball as a whole this year. personally I think if you flip flop qb's for those teams we maybe win 6 or 7 games with bortles though. the guy had the luxury of an elite defense, a top run game, and the weakest schedule in the league.

Why were you and 26NateHater referring to the Chargers game as a highlight?     15 of 25  - in garbage time

It wasn’t referring to the numbers. I was extremely impressed how he handled the situation. 26 didn’t talk about numbers either in that situation.

What is so hard to understand there?

I also went on to reference some plays I thought highlighted his season in wins.... but those were all games you’ve stated he had nothing to do with..... but I’m the troll. Lol.
