Coming out for the second half of the LAC debacle like the consummate professional/great teammate that he is and then leading the team to victory in KC the following week.

    ONE HUNDRED FREAKING PERCENT.

I was annoyed the staff even had the nerve to turn to him in that chargers game.

Ive been ready to move on since last season but there is no denying the dude is the ultimate pro

that being said. He had a couple of jaw dropping plays in wins this year. Anyone remember the scramble out of pressure then the laser to O’leary in the bronco game? Either throw to clay vs the falcons in a win. How about the 2nd and 20 vs the raiders where he bought time and then hit Tate and it was a mob scene on the sideline? Huge plays in wins.... and the Thompson play over the top down to the Bucs.

  2. Not sure if this has been posted yet but my buddy sent me this McCoy update. Not sure where he got it. I’m not super hip to social media other than Facebook. lol.

Big news for early risers: #Bills RB LeSean McCoy’s ankle injury is NOT a high ankle sprain, per source. That doesn’t necessarily mean he will be able to play but the odds are much better with it being a regular sprain vs high sprain. He’s listed as day-to-day

The Jags locked up the playoffs weeks ago. A faction of Bills fans want to add Andy Dalton to the Ring of Honor for such an improbable playoff berth. The Jags come into the postseason with 55 sacks going against the third most sacked QB in the league. Talking stats and players is a lot more fun than talking travelling fans.

Right. Stats and numbers. Which is why I referenced strength of schedule and there one more win on the season. Or we can talk about bortles doing his thing the last 2 weeks and now having to face the top int safety duo in the nfl. YES PLEASE.... The jags were still playing for a bye when they got man handled by the niners. And obviously wanted last week as it seems like they freakin hate the titans

And the dalton play wouldn’t mean jack squat if it happened a month ago. People wouldn’t be talking about it like they are. Bottom line is OVER THE WHOLE SEASON. The bills did what they needed to in order to get in. The ravens didn’t. Should I thank whomever beat the ravens back in September? Or maybe pin the whole season on big bens drive to beat them 4 weeks ago?

I just said the jags should be favored but I’m sorry if I’m not quaking in my boots over a team that came out of the afc south at 10-6. Not happening.

They are beatable, but if the Jags backed into the playoffs than how did the Bills get there?

Jacksonville is by far the more talented team. It is going to take a lot to beat them, IMO.

Bills have a shot, but there's a reason just about everyone outside of Buffalo thinks Jacksonville wins.

The bills finished the season 4-2 and handled their business the last week. The jags finished 3-3 and lost their last 2.

How exactly are you saying the bills backed in? They got help but they most certainly didn’t back in.

Jags are favored and should be. You can’t deny the fact they finished a SINGLE GAME better with the easiest record in the whole freaking league. Let’s not act like they should be some overwhelming favorite.

At this point I am convinced this will be a home game for Buffalo with a whopping 50,000 Bills fans in attendance. That your fans travel well and will have a presence in the stadium still means nothing to what the actual players on the field are doing.

From what I gather, some of you feel your bravado and superior cheering skills will give the Bills the edge to overcome the fact that your team ranks in the bottom third on offense and defense and is facing a team in the top 6 in both categories. Sure..  any given Sunday and all that, but the odds are clearly stacked against a Bills victory everywhere except this thread. Just ask Vegas. Could it happen? Sure. But the brimming confidence some are showing is not what one would expect from a team that is clearly flawed and whose best offensive weapon will be less than 100%, if he plays at all, behind a bottom tier OL. That must be some special kool-aid you make up there.

The jags finished a SINGLE game better than buffalo while having the EASIEST schedule in the nfl in one of the easiest, if not the easiest, division in the nfl. Let’s not act like this is a12 win team that’s on a roll. They backed into the playoffs while bortles started to be the bortles we’ve all come to know over his career.

Sorry if we think that’s a team that’s fairly beatable. And honestly if McCoy was 100% this spread would probably be only 3 or 4 Pts. The jags are favored and rightly so. But nobody should be surprised if buffalo comes out with the W

Yep. Looked like he was in pain. Glad to see his career rebounded. He is a solid player. I hate injuries.

One thing I will say about your fanbase. You don't lack confidence. Whether or not it is warranted..

I think you might be underestimating the magnitude of what the break in the drought is doing to this fanbase.... this isnt just "well we are good fans and we'll travel" like the "stiller" fans. this is "holy crap ive been waiting 17 years and I'm not missing this freaking game" sort of stuff. friggin biblical, man..... its gonna be a freakin migration

30k is a bit steep, but 20 wouldn't surprise me.

i thought it was evident too, but I just checked some preseason predictions and most had the Rams winning 4 games. I usually don't pay attention to prognosticators but it didn't seem evident to many and he was a very young rookie coach, I think the expectations for McVay were low, not as much as talent on the team.

I personally think that hinged on the fact that the previous staff was awful and made goff out to be a disaster. that obviously wasn't the case.

  8. 1 minute ago, billsfan11 said:

Problem for Mcd is he took a 7 win team to a 9 win team. Which is good, but not great.

Mcvay took a 4 win team to what, a 11 win team? Probably 12 if he doesn't rest his starters.

Whoever wins coach of the year generally has one of the biggest turnarounds in terms of wins and losses.

And 7 to 9 wins won't be enough. And rightfully so in my opinion as Mcvay has done wonders with that turnaround

I would agree if we didn't let all our most talented players walk or trade them. there was no tanking talk for the rams this year. the talent was evident.

dunno if this has been posted yet... David carr runs down the top 15 overall offensive players of the year rankings(guess who comes in at 15)... and the entire write up is how and why the bills have a legit shot this sunday.

    solid article.

Carolina had 20k bills fans. Atlanta had probably 15k.

Cary, NC and the triangle have more Monroe county and Erie county residents than any other county in the country.

The south is full of displaced bills fans.  Jax is 6 1/2 from Durham, 7 from Raleigh.  5:45 from me. 4:45 from Charlotte.

If you're any type of bills fan and you're not there Sunday you're not a real fan.

well.... i'm going but I would never say such a thing. that's ridiculous. people have families, bills, work.... come on man.

15 hour drive if ya cant afford to fly from where i'm at.... plenty of "real fans" aren't going to be able to make it.

Actually I don't. BBFS is too strong. We were in the playoff hunt most of the season and people were still dumping tickets in December.

well again. I completely disagree. floating around .500 in December and winning the division at that point are just 2 totally different scenarios. but at this point i'm arguing just to argue. its no big deal. lol

Don't be so quick to throw stones. Both the Colts and Dolphins home games could be had for $6 on StubHub, remember?

our playoff hopes were bleak the team was 6-6. and what seemed like a downward spiral. how in the world does that compare to the hypothetical situation I had mentioned?

do you or do you not agree if the bills were on top of the division in week 10 or 11, the ralph would be packed from upper deck to upper deck?

The tarp thing kinda took a life of its own.  The truth is, when Khan took over, he got rid of most of the tarps. There are only two nosebleed sections that had them left. As I heard it, they needed permission from the league to remove them which caused the delay. Once they did, those seats were gobbled up in a few minutes. The tarps are an easy target for haters, but the truth is, even with them we have a larger capacity than a lot of other stadiums, like Soldier field for example. EverBank Field is built on the shell of the old Gator Bowl which was pretty big. When the blackout rules were in effect (and the team was pathetic), it became an issue for local fans as many games were blacked out locally (which may have been a blessing in disguise). The tarps were a means to keep games on tv.

Much respect to Bills fans who get out there and brave the elements. Loved seeing highlights from the Colts game this year.  For those coming to town, our stadium straight up kicks "butt". The world's largest scoreboards, longer than the field and six stories tall flanked at both end zones and all the bells and whistles. If you grabbed a nosebleed seat, you can always go to the party deck above the north end zone (where the pools are) as all the talent is not on the field, if you catch my drift. The Bud Zone above the south end zone also gets packed, but can be loud and a bit rowdy at times. Ushers are not militant, so if you see an open seat in the lower bowl, you may be able to slide in. A lot of fans roam the stadium throughout the game as there are plenty of cool spots to hit. That is why sometimes it looks like less people are there than truly are.

Section 243 or 244 for my wife and I. I can’t remember. My wife is the one that took care of that. 15 hour drive but whatever. Very excited to check out the area, the stadium and finally feel the electric in the air from a playoff atmosphere

and your explanation of the whole upper deck deal makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up.... regardless I think you all might be a bit surprised at all the red and blue in that stadium. Before the bills clinched those tickets weren’t going for half of what they are now. The franchise sees a thirsty fan base gobbling up tickets and willing to pay whatever it takes after 17 years. Don’t blame them for capitalizing on it though. Haha.

  14. Did I hear correctly they hadn’t even taken the tarps off the upper deck until recently? I feel like this may be why bills fan don’t respect it as a football town. If the bills were in the hunt for a division title 10 or 11 games in you wouldn’t even be able to find a ticket.

As for the game I think each fan base is saying the same thing about the other team. Lol.... whomever has to drop back and pass more is probably gonna lose this game.

And I feel like the fact that the jags had the easiest schedule in the nfl has been glosses over quite a bit. That’s a real thing.

They are rightly favored but other than the titans this is next best chance the bills have.

Fournette has 268 NFL carries in his rookie season, an injured quad,  and a 3.4 YPC in month of December.  If he does that on Sunday, Bills win by 7+.  It's about stopping the run on Sunday.

Right. I feel like both fan bases are saying the same exact thing about the other team. Stop the run and make the qb try and win it. Whichever team can get that done wins IMO

I think the biggest advantage the bills have is more coaches with playoff/superbowl experience. The jags have a great defense, but for some reason I don't feel like the playoffs are too big for the bills. On the other hand, I feel like they are too big for the jags. Maybe I'm just too optimistic

Jags db’s will get all the hype this week but bortles against our hawking db’s has the ability to make or break this game. Bortles has 5 picks his last 2 games and if we can do one thing on d it’s pick it off.

    Agenda?     OK jm2009 Junior

Who's agenda?   The Taylorites or the Anti Taylor crowd?

He is what he is.   Not great enough!!!   He is supposed to be improving nor regressing.

you literally said the other day got ticked when you saw the thread title that said "taylor is a playoff qb" and yet you don't put yourself in that group?

honestly dude..... since the mid season troubles I would consider you and maybe 2 or 3 others the ring leaders.... you gotta take a step back and look in the mirror man. your takes on taylor are downright obnoxious at points. you grasp onto the smallest most awful details in your arguments against him. its bad.

and you're right. he needs to be improving. he's not. that's why i'm fine with trying to find another qb IF IT MAKES SENSE. and even if by some fat chance he wins this week and they retain him I STILL want a qb early in the draft and will be very upset if it doesn't happen. the problem with you is he's not nearly as bad as you argue and that's why you and a couple others always reference a handful of games and that's about it.

If you want to disregard the 5-2 start and ignore 3 game losing streak and use the 4-2 logic sure, but who did the 4 wins come against?

Miami x 2 (and both games game down to stopping them after an onside kick, including last week against Dolphins 3rd string QB).

Indy (it took a reversed 2 point conversion and overtime to beat another horrible team)

KC (quality win for sure but they were in the midst of a 4 game losing streak when we beat them)

Bottom line though I'm not arguing the fact we made the playoffs, it's obviously a great thing. But take away what was essentially a hail mary pass by Andy Dalton and we having a much different conversation right now. But you can't say the BIlls earned this because it was out of their hands in week 17 even with the win against the Dolphins.

they 100% earned it. don't be absurd. they did enough this season. ravens didn't. they earned it. ravens didn't.

and you have a lot of nerve downplaying the fins games after the way you've spouted off in favor of them all year. make up your mind..... after all.... you're rarely wrong about these things! LOLOLOOL
