Looks like the haterade brigade came out again to play. Protect tyrod at all costs; disparage McDermott's philosophy.

I’ve stated that I think the whole Taylor going into a shell notion may have something to do with the game plan once they are up 3 scores like in both the fins games recently. But by no means am I disparaging the philosophy. I think it’s a solid way to win games when up big. But people need to stop putting it solely on the players when they see it happen.

This is practically the definition of "splitting hairs", ladies & gentlemen.

This is true. Taylor was, in fact, the starting QB of the first Bills team to make the playoffs in nearly two decades. I give Taylor full credit for that.

It's also undeniable that Andy Dalton -- a legitimate starting QB -- actually threw the 49 yard TD pass that put the Bills in the playoffs.

So, it's not quite the same as a real starting QB "leading his team" to the playoffs... but I'll gladly take what I can get after all this time. Taylor did what he needed to do yesterday and everything worked out for us all. It's a nice change of pace, right?

This is pure garbage. If the dalton play happens a month ago nobody is using this BS excuse. The bills and Taylor won the games that mattered to get in Flacco and the ravens didn’t and havnt very often since their SB run.

What a a crock of BS dude. You have no shame. It’s embarassing.

Tyrod Delusion Syndrome, or TDS, is a very real and very serious cognitive disorder.

Fortunately for you, I am here to help.

Start here by reading the first post in this thread three times a day for the next two weeks:

This guy claimed a couple days ago joe Webb was a more viable option than Taylor at this point.

Just so everyone knows what you’re dealing with if you get into any sort of spat with him.

    JOE MF’ing WEBB.

He isn't a train wreck. No one argues that he is a train wreck. He should not prevent us from putting full emphasis on finding more at the QB position though. This team could be much better with a solid QB who plays a full 4 quarters.

Dude people were claiming after the colts game that if Taylor got the gig back they wouldn’t win a single game the rest of the way out.

Somebody tried arguing with me days before this last game that joe Webb.... JOE FREAKING WEBB.... was a more viable option at the position.

You apparently havnt read through enough of this garbage to find the real gems

    Did you answer my questions?

how many times did you yell

    throw the damn ball

what did you yell when TT fumbled the ball and possibly the game

    As for nit picking

I spoke to what I thought was pertinent

Honestly? I didn’t feel the need to yell at all really. I thought he played a solid game and managed it well. I have no issues with them tightening things up in the 2nd half up 19-0. And don’t try and use the fumble as some indicator of how he plays. We both know one of his few strong points is ball security..... and it didn’t count. So what the hell ever. Keep grasping for straws all for the sake of trying to be right.

  6. I just heard on the network that apparently garrafolo said this morning on GMFB he could have come back in if absolutely necessary.

The bad thing here is shady is I think it’s gonna affect him much more than your average runner based on all the lateral explosive movement that makes him the elite talent he is.

That will not work in the playoffs

You keep repeating this over and over and over again. The whole turtles up thing. One has to understand there’s other things factoring into this. now I cant say I disagree with you  completely. The 2nd half troubles are maddening. But you can’t discount the conservative nature of our coach and what Taylor was most likely instructed to do in the 2nd half of each dolphin game up big at points. They were up and you could tell the OC and players all we just sitting on it. I hate it becuz it seems to take the rythym out of the game for everyone on offense. Like it or not I don’t think that’s all on Taylor or the players.

    I’m going with sarcasm.

But it its ok to see who the faithful CoTers are.

    Here is my LAMP

90% had been ready to move on and now they cling on.

Still ready to move on here. But also still realize he’s not nearly the train wreck that you and handful of other guys make him out to be. Not even close.

Do you honestly see yourself right now in these threads still clinging to bashing the qb and giving credit everywhere else. On this site trying so desperately so still be right about the qb. No shame. Bottom line is he’s just not as bad as you are so enthusiastically trying to prove.

Do do we need better than Taylor? Yes we do. Do people calling for peterman the whole 2nd half of the season look silly? Yes they do.

Yet I bet you're not wrathful to the McDermott haters that are STILL questioning the man who ended the drought.

Well I was at a New Years party and only dipped in and out of threads and this one obviously stuck out. I didn’t happen to see any McDermott “haters” but i’ll be more than happy to shame them too.

The point is that anyone coming on here after what just transpired and trying to downgrade any player or coach is honeslty just a jerk.

I’m not optimistic but as i mentioned Melvin Gordon was in a walking boot last week with a high ankle sprain and he played, probably because it was such a critical game. It is possible.

I think the largest issue is that McCoys game is so laterally inclined and a bad ankle literally derails that. I’m not gonna hold my breath.

    Dude seriously

be freaking happy and stop calling people out

You totally deserve to be called out. I STILL want a qb drafted early to replace him but your obnoxious and over the top views have always been idiotic and dramatic and now that they break a 17 year drought and you still try bashing the qb says so much about you.

It’s embarrassing for you. I love how you tell somebody else to “be freaking happy” but still try to bash the qb.

Busch league. You’re a joke. I said it all week and I’ll say it again. If the bills made the playoffs this week we would see the cream rise to the top on this board. People that would rather be right than see the team win. SHAMEFUL

EDIT: harsh words here from last night lubed up by too many drinks. I apologize on that front but I stand by the general message of the post.

  12. The proverbial cream will rise to the top on this board over the next couple days

POS fans that would rather be right about the qb than just enjoying the ride.

Tickets were purchased during the heat of the moment. now my wife and I figure out how we are getting down there! It just got real baby!!!!

What did you think when TT fumbled the ball?

The bills are in the playoffs and this is what you are doing. This speaks VOLUMES about you.

I know that deep down this is a serious long shot. I know we have been beaten down so many times..that only the worst is expected. That being said, if this team  somehow makes the playoffs tomorrow I am going to go nuts. We all deserve this. So much more then the Ravens, Titans, Chargers etc. We are one of the most loyal fan bases in pro sports and have been screwed over so many times. Just once, can it be our day? Can we ever just experience what normalcy is? One time? I don’t care if we lose 100-0 in the wildcard game. Please, just end this drought!

Amen.... I was 14 in 99. Just a kid who really wasn’t invested in the team like I am now and the playoffs weren’t rare back then. In fact I think I went snowmobiling that day and didn’t care that I missed the first 3 quarters of the game in Nashville..... I sat around my office running the odds in my head all week and thinking about “what if”. But all the while not really believing it’s gonna actually go our way. This morning I was trying to think about how i would handle it or how it would feel to see them make the playoffs and I realized I can’t really even know or register it at the moment. I have no idea of what that feeling is.

I honestly can’t figure out how I’m gonna feel. And I with ya about the not caring whether we get blown out in the wildcard or not. Just freaking make it! I don’t care who the qb is, who the coach is, or anything else for that matter. I’m just ALL IN on seeing the postseason and finally understanding that “feeling”.

The kid has looked completely fine in his other appearances, including stepping into an all-time blizzard and running the offense better than Taylor has for much of the season. He deserves credit for that, especially after the disaster in LA.

The truth of the matter is that while Peterman is far from a world-beating NFL QB at this point, Taylor hasn't really done anything to take 2 out of the picture. I'd rather watch the kid go out and throw 5 INTs trying to make a play rather than Tyrod out there tolberting us for 4 quarters with 60 yards and a FG to show for it.

Also, even Joe Webb is a viable alternative to Tyrod Taylor. That's how poor our starting QB situation currently is.

This joe Webb comment might literally be the stupidest thing I’ve seen on this board since I’ve been here.
