I’m seeing a debate about some of his balls that aren’t right on the money.... all I keep seeing when I sit down other games are wr’s making PHENOMENAL plays for their qb’s. Game after game I see qb’s just try and put it in the “area code” and wr’s making beautiful plays. And this isn’t just high profile wr’s. John brown, Keelan Cole, and Lockett come to mind right off the top of my head just this week.
I sit there watching these plays thinking “why in the hell do we not have one guy that can reward our qb for taking a chance on him. Must be nice.”
Until the bills can get some true playmakers Allen is going to be unfairly crucified for any accuracy flaw.

I don’t think 0-12 or 0-13 is out of the realm of possibilities for this bills squad. The odds are against teams in the nfl doing things like that. But when I sit down and look at the schedule it wouldn’t surprise me.
-
i'm not all that mad about it. its not all that surprising.... i'm a little annoyed with how certain things have been handled leading up to it though. and I had assumed, after milking 9 wins out of a low talent team last year, that McDermott would have the team competing better than what they are now. so that's concerning.

I was there. had a great time. gotta know the details. they have thousands of people filtering in. they have one job. keep it running efficiently and smooth as possible.
I go to the restroom during what I think will be tv timeouts. problem solved.
sorry you didn't enjoy it.

When you're physically capable of making the passes you get a little more leeway to figure things out.
just ask jeff George and smokin' jay. haha.

How many quarters of football are you going to give him if he doesn't light it up? Over or under 5?
as long as he's not one of the worst starters of all time i'm sure he'll get plenty of time in front of your boy.

I'm sorry man. I can't for the life of me adopt a loser mentality like that. We were good last year, there was no need to fly it into the ground like it appears so far anyway they have done.
Coach McDermott made his team over perform and and BILLIEVE for once and make the team greater than the sum of it's parts. I expect him to do the same this year.
totally agree..... maybe allen creates a spark and it propels the whole team. the plays a guy with his talent can make can absolutely ignite a whole team for a game or even a season. screw the conceding mentality

One out of three McProcess losses have been by 20 points or more.
And yes, we are definitely a “parody” of an NFL team. In a league with “parity”, you gotta be really trying to be as bad as we are.
read to your children folks...
anyhow.... if your calculations are correct our next 2 losses will be much more competitive.

How many scoring drives did your savior have in 6 less minutes of football? One? Ok, cool. Glad we dismantled the whole team so hauschka could get a second crack at 3 points.
You'd have an argument if your boy wonder came in and had markedly different results. If you want to hang your hat on a couple first downs, have at it. Neither QB caused this team to get 47 points dropped on them and neither forced the team to be unwilling and unable to run, catch, or block.
Aaron Rodgers wasn't scoring 7 touchdowns to win that game.
lots of words being put in my mouth here.... I have no clue what you've seen from me for you to act as though I've thought allen is some sort of savior. not even close man.
between the 2 of us there is only one person with a love affair for either qb…. quick hint. its not me.
pointing out how bad Peterman was doesn't mean I think allen is ready or a for sure superstar. try to be able to separate things like that. it would help.
that being said. if you watched yesterdays game and came away thinking "Peterman should still have the job", well then..... just.... WOW. there wouldn't be much more I could say to that.
-
blowouts of that magnitude are kind of an anomaly anymore in a league that has a bunch of parity. so I'd say based off the odds alone, it was flukey. though I do think that if Peterman keeps playing those odds of similar games go up considerably

I don't expect him to berate coaches and players, but his entire tone and approach to these PCs is inappropriate IMO. It's disingenuous and insulting to everyone in the press room and the fans watching and listening. He can offer more in the way of genuine commentary without throwing anyone under the bus.
I wouldn't want him to throw people under the bus, BTW.I don't feel insulted in the least. I personally cant believe its such an issue for people. there is basically nothing he could say about yesterday that would make a difference or make me feel any better.
that's just me though I guess.

Thanks for your contribution.
you're welcome. almost as valuable to the board as your attempts at defending those int's yesterday.
i'll give you credit. at least yours was good for some comic relief.

I already made my case with photos and breakdowns. If you want to discount detailed and thoughtful replies with one line "nuh-uhs", that's your right, but it makes you look like a simple minded petulant child. That seems to be par for the course around here though.
I dunno what you thought you proved with those photo's and breakdowns but I can promise you it wasn't what you thought.
it was a fairly pathetic attempt at passing blame..... you are literally the only person on the planet that thinks the long INT over KB was the wr's fault.

its gonna be really tough to drag my butt out of bed and get on the road at 5AM for the 2 hour drive knowing that Peterman is starting...…. really freaking hard.

Not true...Sanders was great on some bad Lions teams
he wasn't talking about how good or bad a team was he was talking about the relation of the passing game to run game. and if you actually go back and look throughout the early to mid 90's the lions had a middle of the pack passing attack and an elite wr on the outside.
1 minute ago, Bring it said:Maybe it’s just me but I don’t consider McCoy to be in Barry Sanders league. He’s close but not one of the all time greats! Shady goes down much easier than Sanders when you do catch him.
is anybody though? I mean the guy would have SMASHED any meaningful rushing record had he not called it quits early. he was showing no signs of aging yet.

Murphy was mainly rushing on draw plays on 2nd and 3rd and 10+. That is why he got a lot of yards. The few times he ran on 1st down he was equally ineffective.
thank goodness somebody finally pointed this out.
jesus, people. how about we pay attention to the situations they were handling the ball.

The truly concerning thing. NFL teams don't get beat like THAT. The Browns went 0-16 last year and never once got beat like THAT. Outside of maybe Shady and MAYBE the secondary, our position groups are going to be worse than the opponents in every single game this year.
The real question is if this team is going to even be able to support Allen enough to rule out considering taking another QB if we are sitting with pick #1 next spring. Dwayne Haskins is looking really good so far...
its because nfl teams really never get be like "THAT", that i'm not gonna lose my mind over it. the fan in me is gonna chalk it up as an anomalous event and look forward to heading to the opener against a suspect chargers d! haha.

Without revealing the specific players there are some that don’t trust him. I’d imagine that the number is rising today. McDermott has said some things to people and then acted differently. There are (and were) a few that hate(d) him. It had nothing to do with the Tyrod situation either. I think naturally that’s what people assume. He actually apologized to the team about that. It has more to do with people’s roles. He has been straight with everyone.
that's interesting to hear. I would have have thought he was sort of a players coach. winning with that lack of talent last year would imply to me players were really buying in.
but then again I guess you cant please everyone. that's a lot of alpha's in one room with different personality profiles. any coaches style is probably bound to rub certain people the wrong way. hopefully it doesn't escalate or spread.
thanks for sharing.

Kirby revealed last week that there are players in the locker room that don't like McDermott. If he starts Peterman next week there will be 52 of them. Seriously with that clown at QB this team is hurtling towards 0-16. He. Can. Not. Play.
I must have missed this. Could you summarize what was said?
And I agree. You trot him back out there and you risk losing the team IMO

Impressively bad. This is a guy that has had a 5 pick half and is on his way to a whole half without a first down.
