people can say what they want about this dude off the field. and i'll admit I wondered about him when he initially caused a fuss about coming to buffalo and then had the bar incident.... but what a freaking teammate and professional on the field and in the locker room.

at the end of the day its the national FOOTBALL league, not the national good Samaritan league. ultimate teammate and ball player.

I remember that one.  A good win but seemed like one of those where we just got lucky.  Bacarri Rambo got two easy picks off Rodgers and Mario Williams closed out the game by getting around the edge at Rodgers in the endzone, if I recall correctly, to ice it.  Mario was pretty dominate in that one and we all thought for sure he would keep that up for a few years.  But oh, good ole Rex comes along and f--ks it all up.  I knew when he fired Schwartz, or let him walk (whatever), things were not going to go well.  Rex was so !@#$ cocky you could see the smirk on his stupid face when he talked about "doing something different" on defense going forward.  What a tool.

This game was a very good example of how much Schwartz really mattered.  Next season personnel was basically the same but entirely different results.  If Rex Ryan were coaching this Packers game, you all would have coasted to a win.

Gilmore also broke on short outside route and dropped a pick 6. so the luck wasn't horribly lop sided..... that was a downright nasty defense.

This is just my opinion, but if he's having trouble cutting I think he should sit another week, let stuff heal.  We're gonna need him more down the stretch.

I "get it" he's a gamer and he wants to get on the bus, not stand on the sidelines.

But almost every yard gained last Sun. was brutal

have they talked about whether it can be damaged any further or if its just a pain management issue until it gets healed?

if its management you let him play and if he's not a liability you keep rolling him out there don't you? but I legitimately don't know enough to say one way or the other.

That's 11 names all arguably better than Shady, the top 5 clearly better than him IMO.  That's not including names like Devonta Freeman, Jordan Howard, Dalvin Cook who are closer to Shady than some here would be willing to admit.

so after the last 2 seasons of ranking 5th and 4th in scrimmage yds amongst backs he's all of a sudden worse than 11 guys after a short 2 games behind one of the worst lines in the nfl?

    this is complete garbage.

    Oh yeah, ours sucks too.

But Josh Allen isnt Brady preparing to ride off into the sunset. I just think its a disservice to a great player.

Who are they playing that they cant afford Cooks or Robinson?

by next week they'll have arguably the best slot weapon in the nfl on the field, arguably the best TE and a very solid outside guy in Hogan. I would give my left nut for allen to have a cast like that going forward. he's won superbowls with less than that.

I think you(and skip Bayless) are slightly exaggerating how bad his weapons are.

Keep in mind Ivory is averaged 2.8 ypc yesterday, which is tough to do if you're consistently getting 3-4 ypc.

I do know what I think you mean, though, which is that Ivory was at least making positive yardage consistently.    It's not a thing to love though.  I have trouble seeing what run blocking is doing in real time on televised footage, but Imma bet that the all-22 is going to show me what it showed last week:  the run blocking sucks.  There are no holes being opened.

The difference between Ivory and Shady is that Shady does what top backs do - hesitates just a bit and waits for his blockers to open holes.  Only the holes never open.

Meanwhile Ivory plunges right in full throttle and grinds out the yards with his legs, which is why -1 or no gain for Shady becomes 1-3 yds for Ivory.

The real issue is to try to fix the run blocking.  It's only partly guys getting beat at the point of attack, there seems to be a lot of confusion about blocking assignments.

It's also in the first two games been totally ineffective cut blocking.  I saw at least 2 ineffective cut blocks yesterday.

the bolded is what ive been saying for a couple week now. its sucks that our line is so bad at run blocking that having a slow one cut runner is more conducive to consistent positive yds than feeding our perennial top 5 back.....

also why I think lev bell is a freaking FOOL. have fun with all that money in a place like indy or somewhere else that can pay you. his style of running will get him stuffed over and over and over again on a bad team with a bad line.

Dolphins are sneaky good, and Tanny is playing his best ball of his career. 10-1 in his last 11 starts. Really good in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

If the Bills can continue to improve, Bills/Fins will be as exciting as it was 20 years ago, but don't underestimate them. They're really good.

they honestly have a very similar feel to buffalo last year. unloading big name starters before the season. media rips them for it. coach building his own culture..... and then the hot start.

  8. Couple of real downers in here. Let the kid play. Out of all the hurdles you’ve seen ball carriers attempt, how many have ended in a bad injury.... any and all times he feels the need to use it, let it rip. Game on!

I bet some of you are just a hoot at parties. Loosen up. Seriously.

I don't think Benjamin ever belongs on a "hands" team.  Give his spot to Milano!

I get we have slim options but I’m having a hard time thinking he belongs on the team, PERIOD. It seems everything about him is the opposite of what the leaders around the team are promoting

He's always had very good hands. I have no idea why he's struggling this year. I will say that the ball at the goal line was not an accurate throw, but it was still catchable. No matter. The entire team looked horrible for 6 quarters and has rebounded. Perhaps KB can do the same. He'll still be our #2 WR next year after we sign Zay Jones' replacement.

Not accurate? I may be wrong. I havnt watched it since it happened. But I’m fairly certain that throw inside the 5 hit him in the friggin guts.

To me the point is that sometimes we (and the national media) judge Bills QB by a different standard.

Brady has been zip-code accurate at times in his first 2 games this year.  No one is calling him out "wow, for TB, that pass was way off".  I'm sure it's partly rust, and partly a new receiving stable that's not running the routes exactly as he demands, and by week 8 they'll be crisp and precise.

Both Keenum and Foles are zip code accurate QB at times.  They played each other for the NFC championship last year.

Last year we wanted a QB who would TAKE SHOTS.  THROW THE DAMN BALL.  Now we have a qb who will stand in and sling it, roll out and sling it, and we're beating on him because his professional WR or FB/RB targets had to make adjustments on the ball.  Does Allen make inaccurate throws sometimes, yes.  Are they throws that WR and TE and RB around the league adjust to and haul in routinely?  Yes.  Does it look like route running mistakes at times?  Also yes.

the bolded is so freaking true. I've been harping on this for a bit now. to myself, under my breath mostly.... how many td's and yards has big ben gotten by just putting in AB's zip code? qb's all around the nfl have wr's making great plays on the ball week in and week out. last week I saw relative no names like keelan cole and john brown make BIG TIME plays for their qb's. qb's all around the league are trusting their talent outside and getting rewarded for it. meanwhile i'm watching weekly going, why the hell do we have nobody on our team that can bail our qb out?..... or even catch the well placed ones?

and the kicker is until the bills have some talent that can make those "area code" plays, allen is gonna get crucified for his accuracy issues.
