We completely shut down Green Bay. Our defense embarrassed them in their own house. They are just lucky they had 8+ 3 and outs to work with, you should put up at least 40 with the amount of opportunities they had.

Also the Texans have a very good offense. Don’t kid yourself this is an elite defense this year, at least top 5 maybe the best in the NFL. The fact that we are in games with an offense that gains around 220 yards is amazing. I don’t know it there is any other defense in the NFL that would even keep us in games.

In their defense, they were in the field most of the game so fatigue was probably a factor in most of those runs. Millers yardage and ypc were still not that impressive. What’s more concerning is the Bills never have any runs like that on offense. We are lucky to get 5 yards.

and even when they do happen to pop a nice one its usually followed by an extremely predictable play right after that's stuff for a loss.

And I'm OK with that...the worse we are this year, the higher the pick is in next years draft...there are some unexpectedly bad teams this year...Raiders, Cardinals, etc, and we will need to win no more than 4-5 games to be in a high pick...

this is lame to me... we should shooting for 4-3 this weekend against a bad team in indy. and then who knows what would have happened after that with some momentum, the hardest part of the schedule out of the way, and a defense that's revved up.

I personally don't think of "process" as just going and getting high draft picks. and I don't want to think we just have to rely on high picks to be able to win games in the future.

to be clear I expected this record. its not surprising. but i'm 100% not fine with how yesterday ended knowing we had a chance to go to 4-3 this week with a huge division game on MNF looming after. all for the sake of a high pick. no thanks.

  3. is it just me or does only recovering 7 out of 19 fumbles seem like a bit of bad luck.

Well the D is playing light out...but the forced fumble thing will come back to earth at some point. And when it does that's when we'll see more 20+ point losses.

that's what everyone(including me) was saying going into this year about all the turnovers last year and not being able to bank on it again.... well here they are doing it all over again.

btw, I don't disagree that it will slow down. i'm just saying for debates sake.

I will wait to hear from the team before jumping to conclusions. For all we know this was just a casual ask by Allen to see if he wants to join them and he said no cause he was doing something else in warmups. He also may be a little banged up and just looking to take it easy in warmups so he can play today?

But whatever, it's easier to hate on him and run him out of town......

When they don’t play good. Ya it’s easy.

Something is wrong with that spread IMO. It feels WAY too obvious which is why I steered clear. I agree though. They should pound that team.

right? spreads that seem too good to be true rarely workout well. that being said..... I HAMMERED it.

    GT -2 vs. Duke

    Penn State  -13.5 vs. MSU

    Washington -3 vs. Oregon

    Iowa State moneyline

    Wisconsin +9.5 at Michigan

I don’t think I am going to bet today but that is what I would have played.

I've already made quite a bit of off UCF this year and I absolutely love them at -5 against a Memphis team that already has 2 losses in that weak conference.

I appreciated that too, but it wasn't even a penalty.  The ref who threw the flag should have picked it up.   And Dawk should wait until the 2nd or 3rd play to get a shot in, not the very next play.

Thats OK he made up for it with that sweet kickout block on Jackson to spring RayRay on that huge last minute play.

Definitely felt like a make-up call. It was a garbage flag and archuleta said as much.

Our RBs averaged 3.5 ypc with the longest run being 16 yards. I’d hardly call that humming.

The reality is that our offense is forced to be one dimensional and rely on the run again because we simply can’t throw the ball.

I literally typed out there, that I was referencing the final drive. was the run game working or not? did you see any need in the final drive to have the rookie drop back and throw down the field? I didn't, and i'm not gonna fault him or the OC for going with what gameflow dictated at that point.

and again. how about some context as to why they cant throw. i'd like to think you already know its hardly just on the qb there.

It's what I realized after the game and said in my write up.   Young QBs need playing time.   They need to be on the field, calling plays, looking over defenses, making changes at the line, managing the whole game.   They need to log hours of playing time.   What's better than logging those with a run-oriented offense that wins game?   Minimize rookie QB mistakes, get rookie QB experience, win games.   Can't win a Super Bowl like that, but you can get your QB ready to win one.

reps reps reps… like anything else in life...

as a fitness professional I relate it to what I call "time under the bar".... I don't always have my clients and young athletes going all out with maximal loads to feel like they got an insane workout. we train for the long haul. reps reps reps.  we are consistently putting in our "time under the bar" to be ready for the big days.

With the current Ravens it's not for lack of trying as they are currently 10th in rushing attempts. My point was that Flacco was developed into a strong pocket passer in a run first scheme and he eventually won a SB.

Josh Allen had his moments yesterday as he threw for two first downs on that game winning drive. Allen loved to throw the Ball at Wyoming and like that team he had a bad line, WR corps. Right now it makes more sense to do it like they did it against the Titans.

ya. I edited my initial response after I reread what you said.... I agree you can still develop a guy while protecting him with the run game and defense. it just eventually has to shift.
