  1. Horrible call but the Jags defender is so stupid by getting that hype around the QB that I don’t even care.
  2. Potentially game altering incompetence from the officials on that drop.
  3. Its why no one can ever make sense of them. They are LOADED SF & LAC have the two most talented defenses in the Playoffs. They have an elite QB, top tier RB and decent weapons. Their big red flags are that they don’t have much speed on Offense and can’t stop getting hurt at key positions. Still, even without Mike Williams, this team can beat KC. KC will have to beat them for a third time this season to get through.
  4. Jax has no idea how to adjust to playoff intensity & playoff officiating right now.
  5. If you believe Cincy gets the win tomorrow night, whoever you think has the best shot against KC.
  6. Looks like the Peterman game so far … bunch of picks but I struggle to say either was really the fault of the QB. Just really bad luck/bounces.
  7. SF seems like they can be the first plug n play QB team in the NFL, but that’s also a function of playing in the NFC. They can run through the conference, as currently situated, then they have two weeks to gameplan for what will likely be any of Allen, Mahomes, Burrow for the foreseeable future. Now, imagine them trying to run through that gauntlet of QB’s three weeks in a row with Brock Purdy..
  8. So far, this is why any casual football fan should’ve been rooting for Green Bay. Seattle is the most fraudulent team in the playoffs.
  9. I feel this is a bluff to force his hand. Why on earth would they want to franchise him? To deal with these questions every-time he gets injured, again?
  10. This. I want nothing to do with Hopkins. He’s a far cry from the guy in Houston and seems like he’s aging quick. Let someone else make that move. We need to figure out a way to get a young, talented WR, with WR1 potential opposite Diggs.
  11. People who believe in God believe He is the alpha and omega. Also was, always will be. I certainly get why someone would question that, as you have .. but science has no answer, yet, as to what created the energy that caused the Big Bang. We’re essentially seeking an answer to the same question.
  12. Here’s my issue.. He set a deadline. Get a deal done before the season or we’re not talking about it until after the season. I get where he’s coming from with that, but when you’re now injured, for a second straight season, missing significant time and (seemingly) unable to play in the playoffs.. it’s a bad look given the contract status. He set the deadline, not the Ravens. Also, if what the Ravens guy on The Extra Point Show said is true… 250M/fully guaranteed … yikes. That’s a lot of money for a QB who’s broken down to the point of missing a ton of time recently, hasn’t performed in the playoffs, and (for as good as he is) is quite a ways down on the pecking order of AFC QB’s. A QB-desperate team with the cap space.. like the Jets.. may make the move, but in checking in on their fans.. they’re smarter than I give them credit for - many of them do not want Lamar at the price it would take. As Bills fans, there’s a good chance he implodes the build theyre doing over there. They’d be making the move for a 25% it hits in the next 2-3 years before they have to pay Sauce, Breece, Wilson etc.. But there’s a 75% chance he continues to break down, can’t get the ball to those WR’s and becomes a Russell Wilson albatross on the team. He’s done quite a bit of damage to the perception of his ability this year. …but I do still think someone will pull the trigger at the price point he wants.
  13. I’ve always been someone who’s extremely analytical. Grew up in a Christian household. I prayed for my uncle who was dying from cancer. It was a long, drawn out fight full of suffering. He didn’t win his battle. That didn’t shake my faith in prayer. God doesn’t answer all prayers the way we wish he would. My personal reasoning for why I believe God is real .. The hollowness I feel when I’m distant.. so many of us, from the dawn of time have been born with an emptiness we seek to fill and a questioning for meaning. Also, the fact science, which I try to explain away unexplained events with, has - to this day - not been able to tell me what preceded The Big Bang. Until someone can tell me how energy came come from nothing, believing in an omnipresent God (energy) holds just as much weight as any other explanation. My chosen belief system gravitates to Jesus due to the concept of love/forgiveness. It’s not for lack of questioning and fighting it though.. so I get it. Whatever you believe happened in Damar’s case .. something bigger than him occurred that night. It created a unity in the country around prayer and re-examined the lost reliance in our country on God. I’ve never seen anything like it. Josh noticed it, we all noticed it.. and Damar noticed it. Whether you believe prayer is real or maybe just placebo, so many of us turned to it last week and remembered what it felt like to focus our energy towards God, and how it feels when an entire country turns their eyes to Him. I understand some have had horrible experiences with religious institutions, but in terms of a spiritual moment, it seems like there are far worse things for our country than it’s people joining in unison and placing their faith in a higher power. As for Tebow.. the criticism always felt personal. Yea, people were over the top in defending his play.. but the attacks did not come from an honest place (imo).
  14. Welp… guess it’s win two at home and then travel to Atlanta as the road to the Super Bowl.
  15. Ravens guy on with Sal just said he’s hearing Lamar wants 250M fully guaranteed. Good luck getting him Philly/Miami weapons with a QB getting paid like that. He’s not remotely close to Allen and Mahomes, yet wants to get paid more than them by a team in the same conference. I’d trade him as fast I could if I’m Baltimore.
  16. He also plays on the worst defense of the Bills, Bengals, Chiefs. Would you be scared of playing the Rams Defense right now because they have Aaron Donald? Von dominated for the Rams last year because hes great, yes, …also he was on a talented defense with Donald, Ramsey and Floyd out there with him. He would’ve dominated here because of how talented this defense is around him. Sucks to lose him .. but Chris Jones, for as good as he is, doesn’t have that dynamic. Their defense is statistically/analytically worse than the Bills and Bengals.. and that’s a Bills team that played 14 games without Hyde and half a season without Von.
  17. Ok .. Chris Jones is awesome. The rest of their Defense has not been good .. at all. What did Allen do against the Chris Jones-led Chiefs Defense last playoffs?
  18. Pretty meh WC Weekend. Jags/Chargers is an interesting game, but nobody cares about those teams. Cowboys/Bucs will do numbers, but isn’t until Monday. Seahawks/Niners and Giants/Vikings are .. on paper .. games with zero juice. Bills/Dolphins and Bengals/Ravens could have been interesting, but Allen vs Thompson/Bridgewater and Burrow vs Brown/Huntley doesn’t exactly move the needle in generating buzz.
  19. Bills are pretty well set at DL next year. DE: Von (2 guar years), Rousseau (2 years + option), AJ and Basham (1 year) DT: Oliver, Jones, Settle (all 1 year) Bills can simply bring back Shaq on a team friendly deal (if he’s willing) and then draft a DT in the middle rounds. After next year, yes, lots of decisions to make on AJ, Basham, Oliver, Jones and Settle. As of now, I’d extend Daquan Jones. Let the rest play and then evaluate.
  20. Clown post. Does KC have a Von Miller? Does Cincy? Nope … Without Hyde, Bills and Bengals Defenses are pretty similar. Both are better than the Chiefs Defense. If 75% Hyde can come back for a potential Divisional Round and beyond, everything changes for our Defense. None of the contenders have an elite pass rush. If Hyde comes back, we can reasonably have hope that we, again, have the best top to bottom Defense in the AFC Playoffs. Im as frustrated with the Defenses play in past post-seasons as anyone. I’ve been very vocal about it. I’m also not a trollish doomer that can’t simply evaluate talent on the field. We still have talent.. and if Hyde comes back, there’s hope that they can (at least) slow down high powered offenses.
  21. The argument is so overblown. Lamar has no help!!! First off, why are elite TE’s never considered “help”. This comes up with Mahomes/Kelce sometimes. Andrews is a top 5 playmaking TE. As you point out, they’ve used draft capital on WR’s. Josh Allen has Diggs, Patrick Mahomes has Kelce, Lamar Jackson has Andrews … all have an elite receiving option. Allen and Mahomes can win with supporting cast guys like Davis, Beasley, McKenzie, Hardman, Juju, MVS etc.. Why is it only the supporting cast receivers in Baltimore that seem to be the problem.. not the QB.
  22. In this binary choice, I’d go Adams .. but I’d rather get Allen a younger WR2 and not give up what it would take to trade for Adams. This goes for any top end WR under contract anywhere. Would take at least a 1 for Adams, and we’d likely get out-bid with where we’re drafting. Even if we traded Oliver for a 2nd, Bills don’t exactly have the ability to just be trading away multiple picks right now with Allen’s contract hitting.
  23. Josh could’ve easily held out for more money. The Bills deal was very fair. They slotted him in right behind Mahomes. Fair, right now, means the QB is leaving money on the table. Josh was next. Next top tier QB can easily make the case to the team that they are only signing a contract that makes them highest paid. Josh did not do that. Lets see how Burrow and Herbert play out, but most put Allen and Mahomes at a tier above them. That probably doesn’t matter because they’re next. They will get paid more than Allen and Mahomes. Lamar is a tier below Burrow and Herbert. Good luck to whoever pays him top tier money…
  24. Beasley had his defender WORKED on that red zone route against Cincy. We’re a few weeks removed from that .. a few more weeks for Allen & Beas to work on timing. I’ll gladly take more of that in this Offense.
  25. If the NFL truly wants to trial balloon a neutral site Championship Game.. this would be their dream match-up. Guaranteed to sell out and be frenzied crowd. Downside for those who hate that idea.. should this happen.. they will have their ammo to advocate for it moving forward.
