Cross tabs in the NYT poll shows Kamala Harris has done two things (if accurate) Solidified her base (black people & unmarried white women) Made huge inroads with older whites Trump is strong with younger white men and married whites .. that’s not enough if boomer whites give Kamala Hillary-level support & her base stays this energized.

Vast majority of Americans support restrictions, including the vast majority of women (men & women are almost identically aligned on abortion policy) Most supporting somewhere between 12-20 weeks, with exceptions after. Problem for R’s is that when faced with extremely strict abortion policy vs anytime abortion policy… anytime wins.

I don’t feel that way at all. Certainly the vibes in the WR room can change in an instant if they’re not performing come Week 1, but I think this is the best OL, TE & RB room Allen has ever had. And while there’s no Diggs, 1-5, this WR room can certainly be better than last year.

Fwiw.. I’d like to see other polls drop since the flurry of Harris-momentum polls came out, as the point made is fair. Doesnt mean the point made is accurate, but we shall see.

Rogan even clarified that he’s not endorsing anyone and gave props to Trump for how he handled the assassination attempt in a post today clearing everything up (which he didn’t even need to do anyway) He’s the biggest podcaster in the world and is audience is mainly right leaning. Of course Trump feels the need to attack him. Why not? Attack Rogan, attack Kemp. Quite the strategy.

You can’t help people who don’t want to be helped. This guy should be purged from the Republican Party with absolute venomous veracity if he loses to Kamala Harris and gives us four years of Harris/Walz

This doesn’t seem to line up with public polling. Not saying Kamala doesn’t have momentum right know .. she clearly does .. however we never truly know D/R internals - but these people do.

Taking questions, while challenging Harris to do the same is smart. Challenging her to three debates, as she apparently is only agreeing to one, also smart. If he could stay on message, he’d win this election. But he can’t, and now it’s a true toss up. It didn’t need to be this way. I want him to win, but it’s who he is and if somebody can’t get through to him .. soon .. we will have a Harris/Walz administration. It’s not fair that he has to fight the Harris campaign, weaponized courts and the media. I agree with all of that. But it’s the hand he’s dealt. And he can either do what’s required to win, or not.

Honestly, this is a perfect summation. One I’d imagine both sides can agree on, probably for different reasons, but nonetheless..

Trump has two issues… And I’ll preface this by saying, for Trump standards, the press conference was fine. Not good. Not bad. Just whatever. It happened & nobody will be moved by anything he said. 1) He literally cannot help himself. He is so easily hyped up by any question involving the 2020 election, Brian Kemp and now “crowd size”. And everytime he engages the questions, he turns off independents (2020), Republicans (Kemp) and everyone (crowd size) 2) They desperately need to chide Harris/Walz into answering questions from the press. The media cover goes two ways … one, to run propaganda for the Harris campaign.. and two, allows them to only showcase “happy warrior/joy” because they literally aren’t talking about anything, not defending anything, don’t have to answer for anything. That changes the minute they have to talk with any substance. But the contrast of that on the stump, to Trump doomsdaying (with some justification) is not an aesthetic that is, at all, politically helpful for him.
