  1. Clay Travis is hit or miss for me, but he’s 100% correct here. I’m sure some posters here are/were or are around NFL athletes. The majority of every NFL locker room, and their coaches (including ours) agree with most/all of what Harrison Butker said. Most of them, likely on direction from the organization and representation, won’t comment publicly in agreement with Butker .. but I can guarantee you he’s gotten quite a few private messages of support from his own locker room, locker rooms around the league, and based on the mentality, coaching and team leaders of our team … quite a few messages of support from our locker room as well. And while every current player knows they’d become a media hero for any form of criticism towards Butker.. not one has done so. Meanwhile, those that cover the league, as a group (some are outliers) could not be more diametrically opposed to the players they cover. There are outliers like former player Chris Long, who is genuinely more socially progressive, but it’s rare in the league. Yet so many who cover the league, locally and nationally, are in constant tension with players values. Once some start to speak up more against these sports journalists, like in the UFC where it’s now not just acceptable but expected, it’s a wrap. I look forward to the day a Tim Graham or Sneaky Joe regularly get bodied by the athletes they cover.
  2. Randomly caught Movin The Chains on NFL Radio while driving and they were discussing Safety rooms. Got to us and had zero chill about Hyde. Basically said it’s time for us to give him an ultimatum. I have to imagine Beane has an idea behind the scenes of where his head is at.
  3. Nah.. just a guy in his 30’s, former athlete, who goes to the gym regularly, eats healthy, owns a business and has come to a point where I legitimately don’t respect people like you. I don’t hate you. I just think weak men create hard times and people like you buckled under covid, will buckle under the next emergency and can’t handle any dissenting voices when the entirety of our societal institutions (daily) inundate us with messaging to counter any person who dares step up and challenge it. Most of us men, statistically speaking - relevant polling, are growing to resent y’all. You may think you speak for women, but they don’t respect you for acquiescing on anything difficult. Many of them will thank you in public for being compliant .. and then think less of you in private. Meanwhile everything around us deteriorates because people like you are a slave to the system. A cog in the messaging.
  4. Starting to think these angry women on Twitter, egged on by sports journos and beta podcasters aren’t actually the majority on this issue…
  5. If Butker gave a speech encouraging women to seek career advancement above all else, celebrate their abortion and prioritize shattering the glass ceiling by relegating their spouse/children as they climb the corporate ladder, he’d be celebrated by the same people attacking him, the NFL wouldnt put out a statement and the Rich Eisen’s, Tim Graham’s and skinny-fat Bills podcaster’s of the world would have zero to comment. Sad world we live in. And while I think women can absolutely find their value and happiness is a career, the growing number of testimonies for 30/40-something single/childless women saying they’ve been lied to would indicate this isn’t just men projecting trad values onto them. Many men need to hear what Butker has to say. Some women do too. Some women don’t .. and they should just ignore him and find solace in the fact that every other societal institution in the Western world is in opposition to Harrison’s words.
  6. Has nothing to do with him being white, despite yalls weird hyper obsession with race. Conservatives went out and supported Jonathan Isaac as well when the left went after him.
  7. Are they? Potentially some. He has the leading women’s jersey sale in the NFL right now. I don’t remember that being a huge women’s issue in the league back then. It was more MAGA white male boomers echoing that charge. I think a lot of the support Butker is getting are from people like me. 30-something male who agrees with almost everything he said and is sick of the outrage fomented against anyone who dare speak out against the current societal orthodoxy. The fact every media outlet, corporation and marketing agency validates that worldview, yet I still need to hear outrage from Rich Eisen to Aaron Quinn. It’s all so performative and exhausting.
  8. I didn’t really see a ton of people say they’re not watching the NFL anymore over this. I’ve seen a lot of people pointing out that most people in NFL locker rooms agree with Butker. ….and, spoiler alert, they do. NFL athletes align far closer to the UFC than they do the Lebron types of the NBA.
  9. Now the highest selling jersey in the NFL for both men AND women. Buffalo Bills sports media and Cover 1 in shambles.
  10. I don't hate how the schedule is laid out. It was going to be a tough schedule regardless.. could've been better, but could've been a lot worse. Overall I think it's a pretty decent lay out. Jeremy White tweeted out the difference in schedule between us and the Jets. Man.. it's drastic. KC, BAL, DET vs PIT, DEN, MIN MY biggest observation from our schedule is that Josh Allen and the Offense better find chemistry, quick.. We better get that opening week dub against Arizona and iron out any chemistry issues before Miami 4 days later and a tough 5 game stretch out the gate.
  11. Then follows it up by “apologies” What the hell kind of city do the Chiefs play in!?
  12. I honestly don’t hate it. If you watch our Embedded, McDermott wanted Van Pran-Granger there, who the Bills got a handful of picks later. Joe Brady seems to want the backs involved in the passing game. Ray Davis is one of the better receiving backs in this Draft, provides us between the tackle running and I don’t think age should be a concern for teams who view RB’s as four year players. The Bills RB vision is definitely prioritizing not needing to change the Offense depending on who is in the game. In fairness, the fact I love what the Bills did in RD5 certainly helps me be more ok with a RB in RD4.
  13. We do have the most draft capital of any team in 2025. Our RD2 and a RD4 (given we should have three) is where I'd think teams would listen. Especially given the fact that most of these WR's won't actually see Free Agency next year. We go through the same song and dance and they all end up traded or re-signed.
  14. Do I think Kincaid has Kelce potential? Yes. Do I think people need to stop using KC/Kelce as blueprint? Yes. It's like how every raw, ultra athletic, big arm QB can now be Josh Allen. Just because it worked for us, doesn't mean it's a blueprint. Josh Allen may be the most purely gifted QB the NFL has ever seen. Kelce may be the best TE in the history of the league.
  15. If you're going to go in on a big investment at WR, either via FA or a trade next year, why wait? That's the part I don't really get. Why purposefully leave that bullet out of the chamber this year, in one of Allen's prime years, if you plan on doing it anyway next year. To what?... Save your RD2 pick and provide a slightly cleaner cap because you didn't have to make room/push money down the road by bringing said player in this year? To me that seems illogical. If you're looking to make that move next year, you should explore making it this year. If you want to see how Coleman, Shakir and Kincaid show out this year before seeing if that move is necessary, then you wait.
  16. I look at the numbers we have competing for WR6 and just think they're planning not to. That's my thinking on why I don't expect it. Because I definitely don't take anything Beane says at face value. i.e. "no big fish", immediately signs Von Miller a day later. It does seem logical that if we are planning on bringing in a big fish next year at WR, that we should probably explore doing it this year. Giving up a pick and shifting money around is completely worthwhile if they are planning on doing it anyway. Why leave that bullet out of the chamber for one of Allen's prime years simply because it saves you a pick and provides you a slightly cleaner cap outlook?
  17. Come playoff time, we have no reason (yet) to think Kelce won't be anything but Kelce. Rice will be back when it matters. Brown & Worthy don't blow anyone's doors off, no, but they do play well off Kelce & Rice who operate in the short/intermediate. That skill group isn't elite, but Kelce is proven elite / Kincaid is not, yet.. Rice has flashed WR1 potential / Shakir is good, but probably more of a complimentary WR .. Brown and Samuel are similar players with different skill sets.. And both teams are depending on a rookie Worthy / Coleman.
  18. I disagree. We could be a juggernaut if everything goes as planned, but we have a lot of what-ifs right now on Offense due to a lack of a true WR1. If we traded for Aiyuk or Metcalf, I honestly don’t know how anyone stops this Offense. I firmly believe we will have a Top 12 OL. Kromer is one of the best in the biz and we have a lot of talented pieces & guys who have been in the system for multiple years on the Offensive Line. You give Allen the following: RB1 - Cook RB2 - Davis RB3 - Johnson TE1 - Kincaid TE2 - Knox TE3 - Morris FB - Gilliam WR1 - DK Metcalf WR2 - Keon Coleman WR3 - Curtis Samuel WR4 - Khalil Shakir WR5 - MVS Sheesh… Good Luck
  19. CBS anytime the Bills and Chiefs play.
  20. Didn't we all think last years schedule was an absolute monster too? And didn't we think the season was over when we stumbled through the "easy" part and had to go on a run through the gauntlet part? Not going to stress about it. You never know who's in and who's out week to week in the NFL. We lost to the Bengals last year, but if that game was scheduled a few weeks later, probably win it easily. It's not so much who you play, but when you play them. We go through this every year.
  21. I think he had a big game against Indy in the Wild Card a few years back too.
  22. In other words .. he's literally Gabe Davis. Steps up in big moments and the team tried to make him more than what he is.
  23. I just don't really see us making a move for another WR at this point. We have 3 locks and 2 semi-locks on this roster. They've brought in about 20 people to compete for WR6. I'm certainly hoping for a surprise trade for Aiyuk or DK Metcalf, but I just don't logically see it. I think the 6/1 money is likely earmarked for another defensive piece, either on the DL or Secondary.. and if Von Miller & Dawuane Smoot show well in their workouts, maybe Beane just holds onto that money.
  24. Netflix has been lacking. I can't think of anything I've really watched on there recently outside Stranger Things. HBO Max has House of the Dragon coming out. Prime just had Fallout and a new season of The Boys coming up.
