European Elections 2024 - BLOODBATH
SCBills replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Right wing populism’s main tenets right now are anti-immigration sentiment and freedom of speech. The left pushed so far on both of these issues that you now have a majority of Americans (and seems a similar sentiment in Europe) in favor of straight up mass deportations. It turns out open-minded people have their limits.. and when people pouring into their country have no desire to assimilate, they realize that their country is no longer a melting pot.. it’s simply becoming a welfare state for people who want to import their culture to supersede theirs. -
Enough for Marine Le Pen’s party to garner 34% of the vote to finish first against the second place finishing 15% of Macron’s.

First off, it’s he and his statement. Second, you can think whatever you’d like about Trump.. I’m simply telling you that battleground polling shows it evenly split, with Trump actually ahead in some places on the issue of “protecting democracy”. Given everything you’re worried about with him, you might want to self reflect on how that could be.

Dems need to tread lightly here, as polling is starting to show voters trusting Trump more on protecting democracy - specifically in battleground states.

Big statement here when agreeing with a poster who doesn’t know how to utilize capital letters in a thread title.

The Pride Flag / Month: Intersectionality
SCBills replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Its stuff like this that is the cause of LGB acceptance dropping in the past five years. It went from love and acceptance to conformity and superiority. People are getting sick of it and all of our favorite sports journos/podcasters that want to clout chase and attack those sick of it are part of the actual reason for support dropping. LGB’s had everything they wanted. Then the activist class and TQIA+ came in and took a wrecking ball to it. -
Massive development both tactically and in public relations for Israel.

And the 2024 Race Begins
SCBills replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I still think there’s a very low chance Trump wins Virginia, but the polling has started to consistently show he very much could. Glenn Youngkin being one of the most popular Governors in the country and having an R next to his name certainly doesn’t hurt. -
Just saw Bill Ackman share this and checked it out. Very strong points made by David Sacks.

What to do with the post June $10 M that will be available

Take one of the available CB’s off the list. This is so messed up that I’m hesitant to even share it. -
2024 Election Polls - President - Senate - House

Apparently Arizona Dems want to be a dumpster fire as well. -

You should be. MAGA is taking a sledgehammer to a reliably red state. Kari Lake is an absolute joke of a candidate and the AZ GOP is akin to Florida Democrats in terms of their effectiveness. Still think Trump splits the ticket and wins Arizona though. Lake, not so much. -

Joe Marino talks what the Bills have to do to beat KC in playoffs
SCBills replied to Nephilim17's topic in The Stadium Wall
All these things are true. Allen, in a perfect world, takes the check down, we grind the clock out, and score with as little time left as possible. It’s also insane that all the machinations need to go through his head because we can’t score to quickly or we lose.. just like what happened to him the last time he saw Mahomes in the playoffs. Reality is.. I’d say it’s a 25% chance we win if Dawkins doesn’t get blown up and Allen hits Shakir for the TD. Plenty of time, but the crowd would be insane and they need a TD. I don’t think our defense would hold them without a big play, but a negative play or turnover are what I’d bank on as the 25% chance they hold. -
A Case For Locking Him Up!
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I tend to agree with this, but the fact that this looks to be their last shot at Trump .. in which they thought they’d have multiple shots over the summer.. “could” lend itself to something drastic, given most polling reflects Siena’s today, in which their pre-conviction/post-conviction snapshot went from Trump +3 to Trump +1 Noticeable, but not enough. -

He obviously does not deserve any prison time for a made up felony that stands a strong chance of being overturned on appeal once it gets to SCOTUS, with the gag order also likely being ruled unconstitutional. That being said, given the fact the other cases are now stuck in the mud, I could see Merchan feeling the need to go full activist judge and do whatever Bragg (Biden WH) ask of him… including taking the risk of going full shock to the American system and sentencing him to prison time. They know it could massively backfire, but the numbers post-conviction haven’t moved in the way they were hoping pre-trial and Biden looks increasingly helpless. -

It wasn’t a miss. It was a TD if Dawkins doesn’t get ragdolled by Jones. But I guess Allen now has to account for his LT not being able to hold a block, along with his WR’s dropping passes and Defense that physically crumbles (literally and metaphorically) when having to play KC in the postseason. -
Tim Scott is definitely the guy you choose if you want to neutralize any “racist” attacks, while also lowering the temperature for those reluctant to vote for Trump due to his personality. JD Vance is legitimately a strong politician. Well spoken, articulate and knows how to deal with the media. Both Scott and Vance are heavy hitter fundraisers. Rubio could work. Burgum seems like a Mike Pence type pick, but less weird and rich. Byron Donalds would be Trump saying F it and risk his campaign becoming unhinged for the chance of sweeping MI, PA and WI and making Dems nervous for future election realignment of a noticeable R pull of black men. Major risk/reward pick.

JD Vance is the choice here Tim Scott, if he wants to play it safe
