Rams - opening game of season Bills / Cowboys most likely
dma0034 replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cowboys opened last year (over the Bills). I don't think the league can justify putting them in again. Broncos will depend on Rodgers. If he is in Colorado then they have a chance. Think it's down to the 49ers and Bills really. And with the postseason Allen just had they would be wise to put the Superstar in a game to start off the year -
Come on; seriously? The single biggest mistake went against the Rams in the 75 yard TD catch from Higgins.

I agree completely. It's so sad that the Bills screwed up that last 13 seconds because they would have won imo
-
Both teams trying to run the ball is the entire reason why this game is close. Terrible
-
Rams defense has been dominating them for the last quarter
-
Kupp, best WR in the game bar none RN
-
If somehow this game goes to OT the Rams may not have any WRs anymore
-
Damn... bet that 300 from Caesars. 250 was on Rams -4..... looking like that isn't going to happen lol. 50 on Tee Higgins scoring though lol
-
Terrible to try and rush there

Kyler Murray unfollows Cardinals on social media

Statistics are part of the reason why coaches go for it in certain situations but personality has to be a bigger factor. Obviously the best example of this is when Ron Rivera started going for it more often in Carolina because his job was on the line so he took a riskier approach. MVP is based off numbers but it also has the element of winning. Allen's numbers were similar to last year's but he wasn't even in the conversation for MVP. In fact just off the top of my head the last 4 MVPs (Mahomes, Jackson, Rodgers x2) were the QB of the team with the 1 seed in the playoffs. Brady before that too. Numbers are not everything. -
So the league manipulates outcomes for what end? If you think that an owner like Jerry Jones is okay with his team losing for 2 decades because it's part of a greater plan then you are crazy.

Good matchups if Rams win: Cardinals 49ers Cowboys Bills Think they'd eliminate Dallas (they started last year). 49ers seem to be the pick for me. Division game and NFC Championship rematch Good matchups if Bengals win: Chiefs Browns (maybe?) Ravens (Lamar would be back?) Think they'd go with the Chiefs.

They hit Mahomes. That is the difference. Make no mistake about it: the D-Line is what screwed the Bills last week. Could have easily stopped the Cheifs their first 2 drives with wrapping him up, instead they let him run. I will also say there are always fluke plays that happen. Last week the ball was tipped once and hit the ground a second too early. When players put their hands up Mahomes waited last week. This week tipped ball get intercepted because a defender put his hands up.

The AFC is going to be so difficult to win going forward. With Mahomes, Allen, Burrows, Herbert and Jackson potentially being playoff opponents every year (that's not including the possibility of Rodgers coming to the AFC or Lawrence/Jones becoming good). It could potentially be a Slugfest. You could have an AFC playoff picture that has: Allen, Burrows, Herbert, Jackson, Rodgers, Mahomes and Carr in next year and you are going to have to beat 2 maybe 3 verd good/elite QBs to get into the SB.

Chiefs are losing some pieces this offseason. Every year they get a little weaker (Kelce will only be elite for so long). This is just disappointing because I think the Bills win this game going away. I also agree with the poster who said the Bills win last week with Tre White.

I think the Bills would have beat the Bengals
-
If the Chiefs go down and score a TD the rules will be changed
-
Bills play scared defensively. They never leave the 2 deep zone drive. Dumb
-
Damn... Reid not taking that FG at the end of the first half! It would be hilarious if that came back to bite them

The major thing I notice about the Bengals that the Bills screwed up last week is they got to Mahomes. They sacked him. Mahomes did all those crazy runs behind the line and then threw a completion or ran. Bengals have sacked him. Hoping the Bills Pass Rushers are better next year
