  1. He is getting 11 mil from Jacksonville. Either someone pays him more than 11 or he makes 11. Offset language means what ever he signs for goes towards that 11 owed from Jacksonville. What ever you sign him for counts towards your cap. If he doesn't get more than 11 there is no incentive for a team to offer more than the min. Davis gets paid the same either way, you are just helping Jax and hurting your cap by offering more.
  2. 90’s away Zubaz collar red helmet.
  3. No different than bringing in White. Yeas past getting Lawson and Phillips on the cheap. They were solid rotational pieces on the dline. I think Davis would be that at wr. Not the primary target but will make his fair share of plays.
  4. Im looking from the Bills perspective. Unless Allen says no (miscommunication issues) I think it’s an easy answer. Gabe may have better options but rooting against it is bizarre to me. The lowlights for Palmer, Moore, Samuel, Coleman, Shakir are not great either. Not sure any of them have better highlights than Davis. The whole flip on him is very odd.
  5. Then the entire room stinks…
  6. He raises the floor. Potential will have to meet production for the room to keep him off the field. That happens it’s a win for the team. Someone doesnt or an injury happens he slides right in a win for the team.
  7. Whoever performs the worst from Samuel, Moore or Davis. Or an injury happens and everyone is retained. That simple.
  8. No different than why they bring any min vet in after the draft competition. A lot of potential in the room without a lot of production.
  9. I could keep 6 or 5. Like I said Davis was the catalyst to get the answer if Buffalo has done enough at Wr. Seems like they have.
  10. The answer is Gabe Davis. Signing him doesn't greatly impact the Wr room. Since his release however, Bills fans are now almost unanimous that the Wr room is full. A wr who averages 600 yards and 6 Tds has no shot of making the roster. Im glad Buffalo has finally put a complete room around Allen. Good thing they didn't draft a wr early because they would not have made the team.
  11. 1. Injuries are always a factor in football. 2. Moore has earned nothing. His signing is similar to Dane Jackson at db. He wins a job or doesn't. 2a. Davis was most efficient and effective in the wr 4 role early in his career. Can back up multiple positions and is suited for the dirty aspects of the position Samuel, Moore and even Shakir are not. Ideally, Coleman takes that over. Again Coleman has to prove it. Im not saying this is the best situation for Gabe. Im looking at is a fan of the Bills. I would ask Gabe is 30 catches from Josh Allen passes equal or better than 50 catches from any Giants Qb or any Pittsburgh Qb? I think an argument could be made they are. If any of Coleman, Shakir or Palmer don't make the progress we hope Davis has produced with Allen. Samuel and Moore are anything but sure things at this point. In football competition rises the floor. Davis puts everyone in the room in an earn it mind set. How as a Bills fan is that not a good thing? No one is going to pay him more than 11 mil. Thats what he is making from Jacksonville so he would be on a minimum deal from Buffalo while Jax covers the other 10 mil. Maybe Gabe is shot from the injuries and doesnt make it. Its cost the Bills nothing.
  12. He has had a better career than every wr currently on the roster. More yards and touchdowns than all of them. Now he would be brought in cheap because of his injuries and inefficient play. In a supporting role in the offense I think be could be productive if healthy. Competing for Wr 3-5 with Samuel and Moore and some insurance for Coleman.
  13. He isn't a 3 catches 30 yards every game guy. He will catch 1 or none a week or three then catch 5 for 105 and a Td. I know what Davis is and isn’t. If he signs it’s really a smart move for Buffalo. Comes in earns a spot or he doesn't it will cost nothing. Adds an established NFL wr to the room. I don't understand the hate.
  14. Hollins was not a feature of the passing game. Under Brady Davis would not either. Though depending on matchup Davis offers more than Hollins to exploit coverage. To me Davis has had more big plays in big spots than big blunders. He has some of the biggest plays a player has had for the Bills in the past 15-20 years.
  15. I don't understand how Davis is blamed for every Allen poor decision. Allen improved his decision making. Why would Davis impact that? For a minimum vet free agent signed in May Davis would offer the most upside and odds of succeeding. All it took was for the Jaguars to cut Davis and suddenly Buffalo has the best wr room in the NFL 😂😂😂
  16. Thats hyperbole. Not counting his KC game (best clutch Bills wr game ever) Davis is a better playoff wr. Every wr has fumbled and drop passes. His success rate and catch % is within single digits to Hollins with significantly higher volume and more yards per catch. He didnt become TO after the 4 TD 200 yard playoff game. But he wouldn't be brought in as the number 1. He would add to the room and offers more actual NFL production then all the wrs not named Shakir in the room.
  17. Davis is a significantly more prolific Wr. Would be brought in for the league minimum due to the guaranteed money from Jacksonville. Compete with Coleman and Palmer for playing time.
  18. Because he was paid as a high end 2 by the previous GM and coach. They drafted Hunter #2 to pair with Thomas Jr. With the money still owed Davis would be a league minimum signing. No risk move. Can do everything Hollins did last year but a better wr. If Coleman and Palmer emerge as significantly better it costs the same as any camp body. I dont understand the push back at all.
  19. Last season in his by far worst year Davis averaged more yards and catches per game than Hollins. Hollins caught 31 balls for 378 yards what are we talking about? Davis is as good a blocker and healthy a by far better wr. If healthy is the question. With offset language he will sign a 1 year minimum deal and Jacksonville picks up the tab. Its a no lose situation with a player that Allen knows and likes.
  20. He walks in and is an upgrade over Hollins. Davis blocks and will be involved early downs. Offers more down field and after the catch. If he lost a step its no risk.
  21. Healthy he offers more than Mack Hollins.
  22. No risk. No different than Phillips and Lawson in years past. Solid cheap floor move. If Coleman doesnt become the blocker they want, Gabe goes right back to that big slot on run downs role. His feel with Allen on scrambles was very good.
  23. Still making the Jacksonville money, sign for league min. He will make the same regardless. Makes too much sense not to. Those concerned about Coleman, Davis fits that Hollins role perfectly. Unconventional, but down the field player. I would shocked it doesn't happen.
  24. 2003 Bills home opener. 31-0 vs Brady and the Pats. Timeless game. Big man touchdown. That game was great.
  25. Beane flat out said he wanted Coleman and Kincaid stronger. I think it’s fair to monitor that progress. Keon is noticeably bigger imo. Was expecting similar or noticeable results with Kincaid.
