  1. The discussion is about shavers on the 53 as an “X factor” not Who to play this week.
  2. Ok he’s super fast, except he’s not. Angles and blocking can make a play look a certain way. I know you will keep pounding that square peg so no need to respond. Let’s just disagree. Except that is not going to happen. You have 53 plus 2 from the practice squad to play the whole game. This is not a preseason game with a ninety man roster. Some starters will play and many key backups will play a lot. Even if you call up clapp. One injury and what do you do put gore at OT?
  3. Bernard played 17 of 17 games last year but missed the KC playoff game. This year he is 13 of 17 since he will miss this week. Assuming this is minor I think people are over reaction just a tad. Sometimes the timing of injuries make them more impactful and that is just dumb luck.
  4. Pretty sure that is how the NFL would prefer it too with the Pats wanting to lose and the Bills treating it like a preseason game.
  5. looks can be deceiving
  6. Who do you waive? That is great that he works hard but no way you let one of Shakir, Hollins, Cooper, Coleman or Samuel go. Not sure about Samuel to be honest...if his turf toe is lingering you could IR him I guess. Anyway, Shavers does not have speed, he ran a 4.59 forty and he is not an X factor. He made a good play in the fourth quarter against a defense that quit, lets not blow it out of proportion.
  7. Not sure if you are serious but I dont see that happening since they have not called him up during the final three to get some reps. Seems like he is there for leadership and coaching. And if Trubisky goes down you play Gore at QB? I see Mike White as one of the two callups. and see either Torrence or Edwards playing a big chunk.
  8. Gore to take a lot of carries. I want all three backs to be available for the playoffs. And then Mike white. You only get two. The typical inactive guys will be active. They only have 9 OL so at least one starter will have to play the whole game unless they use a call up there. Same is true on the DL...you will see the rotation guys still, just a different percentage of time.
  9. I live in New England....my wife does not get NFL seedings, who makes the playoffs and how....that morning, I was telling her the Bills could make the playoffs. The Bills win but Cinci went from up like 24-3 to down and seemingly helpless so they cut to the Cinci game. Watching it in my living room, kids are too young to know much of anything. I am pretty down and quiet because I felt like the inevitable was going to happen. She asked me did they make the playoffs? I answered with no probably not or something.....that play happens, I explode just like that room, she is looking at me with the most confused look on her face and I know what she is thinking....she is like the Bills are not on the TV, it was so weird trying to explain...anyway great memory.
  10. Are you suggesting they dont know that? The bigger question is more what will they do about it....if you are assuming they should "try and lose", doubt that will be the strategy. You can assume you will see guys like Mike WHite, Eddy Ulefoshio, Joe Andreesen, etc.....but those guys will try.
  11. This is where I land too, I add up division win/loss records over time and while it is kind of meaningless, it matters. I believe they will be 21-3 in the division over the last 4 years if they win.
  12. No, we want him to keep the team, stop talking junk
  13. Given that winning means the Pats get the first pick which they can flip for some serious talent...
  14. ketchup and mustard to the face LOL
  15. I am actually surprised it is the same as the last three years....I would have thought all the quick screens they have added would bring it down...then again maybe that is my perception because the plays actually work this year.
  16. This is one thing I don’t understand.
  17. The typical inactive guys are the ones that will play.
  18. Yeah but at the same time it seems like it would be good for him to get some live snaps. I see a preseason type of game where Josh starts Mitch takes it to HT and white plays the second half.
  19. I wonder if they go for it. Against the giants especially they will want to run their fade in it. Logic says rest him they need him in the playoffs. The giants may just stack the box if he plays.
  20. Love these guys but will just point out there penalties are atrocious this year. Many are false starts. They are both top 4 this year. The good news is it hardly ever hurts them cause Josh always gets out of it. https://www.footballdb.com/stats/penalties-player.html
  21. Looks like the dunk thing the kids li to do
  22. The bolded makes total sense to no business owner ever. Turn the clock back a few years, same argument made about Dabol and now he is clearly a great leader and finds ways to win at least 3 games every year.
  23. That graphic only shows 4 years of numbers but correctly says 5 in a row. It also does not include the receiving TD's, minor nit. I think the punch line is there are only 2 QB's with 40 TD's in 5 seasons, the other being Rodgers but Josh has done it in 5 straight years! Josh is truly a unicorn. All people ever wanted to talk about was turnovers while ignoring the unprecedented TD production.
  24. It’s a non issue except in this thread.
