Is it worth it bringing in a safety at this point? According to Micah Hyde, it took him two seasons to feel comfortable in McDermott’s defense. I don’t disagree that we need better safety play, and people may not want to hear this, but Bishop, Rapp, Lewis and Hamlin are probably our best best options for the rest of the season.

These guys know their playbooks. They know their assignments. They have millions of dollars on the line. They are prepared.

I just don’t agree with the whole month of September and some of October are “pre-season games”. If they do away with the pre-season games and scrimmages during the month of August, will it then become September through November are pre-season games? These teams have multiple mini-camps during the off-season that lead up to the official training camp. They didn’t do that in grandpa’s NFL. They also didn’t receive millions of dollars or were expected to know their playbooks inside and out like they are today when training camp arrives. Much less be in tip-top physical shape. The teams with the best talent, coaching, and have less injuries and suspensions will always stand above the rest. Whether it be the first week in September or the last in December.

Up: Dalton Kincaid- just came up clutch and is emerging as a real weapon. Cole Bishop- very athletic and showing growth in a rapid manner. Jackson Hawes- again, showing strength as a run blocker and seems to make a crucial catch every game. Down- the invisible men, Greg Rousseau and Dawson Knox. A lot of money tied up with these two to not be receiving more impactful plays. Ryan Vandermark- get well soon, Spencer. Bobby Babich- if Joey Bosa isn’t able to keep containment, put AJ Epenesa out there more and save Bosa for absolute passing situations.

Couldn’t care less who it is. Halftime is for other things than watching entertainers. Booze, food and broads come to mind. Though just booze and food for me since I have a ball and chain.
