I suspect the disagreement Botterill had with the Pegula's about massive cuts had everything to do with it. The Sabres are on thin ice.

Yes, I very much believe the a team that wants to remain competitive in the NFL needs a venue better than the soon to be 50 year old NEF. 100% on that. Heck it was only a little over 20 years ago the Bills were considering moving because of the state of the stadium. The Pegula's have been asked about this and, still, no plan is in place. NEF is an old stadium with dirt cheap tickets. Also, did you see the recent comments about "sustainability" made by Kim Pegula regarding the Sabres? I think you should look it up. The days of "if I need money I'll dig another well" are distant memories. Only those that aren't truely paying attention are not a little worried about this.

Wiyh today's numerous Sabres firings and the Pegula's not paying minimum wage employees, and still no news on a Bills potential new stadium, is anyone else wondering this? I mean, if the Pegula's can't cut it here....I think it then becomes a regional problem. What do you all think?

What that stayement tells me is the Pegula's absolutely know they need to become winners now and Botterill feels it should be done through years of developement. The funny thing is they are both right but neither party appears to be the solution going forward. Now, you never know. Bill Polian was elevated within the Bills organization once upon a time. I will take a wait and see with Adams. I'm sure they asked him what his evaluation of team is and what they need to do to get better. History is not on the Pegula's side but I will never fault them for their effort in trying to make the Sabres better.

The Anthem IS about honoring the flag! That’s why it is called THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER for Cripes sake! You know, oh say does that star spangled, banner yet wave! What do you think the star spangled banner is that Francis Scott Key was referring to? Please tell me you didn’t know. Let me ask you something....if the flag isn’t directly tied in with the military, how come soldiers graves, every Memorial Day, are adorned with little American flags? How come the flag is folded nice and neat by a soldiers head while their body is being displayed in their casket? Why does the American flag draped over a soldiers casket as they are being flown home for burial? Why, at Sabres games, do they trot out military people at every game, onto the ice, while the Anthem is being played and the flag is being displayed overhead? Why, on military bases, do soldiers jump from their seats in a theatre when the National Anthem is being played and the flag displayed on the movie screen?

Um, where do you stand and face while the anthem is playing? The restroom? Hot dog stand? You ever notice that flag that sometimes stretches over the entire football field? I’m done with your stupidity as well.
