  1. So Jordan Mills with Marshall Newhouse as his backup? Is it April 1st? Awful personnel moves, concerning the o-line. Maybe this is Beane's weakness as a GM. Let's be honest here. Both players are terrible. Having Jordan Mills is bad enough.
  2. He's a guard. Much stranger things have happened.
  3. One thing I know... This draft isn't going to go how the experts are projecting it to go. It NEVER does. If the Bills trade up for a QB, so be it - BUT if they stay put, I've got my fingers crossed for Quenten Nelson. It's a no brainer and if Beane is thinking long term, a Richie replacement is going to be needed in the next year or 2.
  4. Neither is Baker. "You want a guy, the stature, the height, you know, they're standing over, they're not worried about linemen in their face. It gives them the vision and all that."
  5. I had this debate earlier in the day. Roster excuses don't work for Allen. They're not working for Lamar either. A 49% completion percentage is a 49% completion percentage.
  6. People will be quick to tell you how much Lamar Jackson has improved from year to year, but will completely ignore Rudolph's progression, when he is CLEARLY a better passer. If the Bills stay put, I hope they take him at 22. A year on the bench behind AJ and we could really have something special. I've heard this a few times as well and it's an awful comparison! You can draw similarities on arm strength, but that's where the comparison ends. The two are nothing alike. Ponder was always terrible, even in college. Drove me nuts, Bills fans clamoring for him.
  7. I've heard this argument a million times on this board . We'll see how all of those traits you listed transfer to the NFL. Lamar's stats were downright awful against the SEC.
  8. You obvously don't want a dummy, but Marino, Kelly, McNabb, VY, John David Booty, Charlie Batch, Chris Redman, Randall Cunningham, Heath Shuler, Elvis Grbac, etc all scored in the 14-16 range. What does that tell anyone?
  9. https://qbscores.wordpress.com/wonderlic-scores/ Here's a good list. It means nothing.
  10. Good thing they're no longer in college, isn't it. No more heismans for Lamar. You're obviously a fan so I'm sure you've seen his pathetic numbers against the SEC. 49% completion 9 TDs 9 Ints and a 3-4 record. Guess what awaits him in the NFL? Teams better than Miss. St., I promise you. *insert obligatory adjusted completion % and how Louisville is talent dificient*
  11. Chances are the Jets will ruin whoever they draft. Their roster is truly ****. Couple that with the NY media and it's a recipe for disaster.
  12. Not even going to get into the talent disparity between Wyoming and Louisville, you know - the excuse we always hear for Lamar when comparing him to the top prospects this year. You guys really need to stop with this adjusted completetion % ****. I've never heard that excuse so much in my entire life until this season. We'll see what the league thinks about who the better prospect is. Then we'll see who has the better career.
  13. No. He's not. Lamar is a better athlete. That's where it stops.
  14. Are you sure? Cousins was a 4th rounder, Foles 3rd round, Wilson 3rd round. For guys like Rudolph (most QBs, really) it's all about the system he's in. He'd kill it in NE.
  15. Yet his completion percentage on simple slants is hovering around 50%. I've seen Lamar play. His legs give him an early advantage on the other QBs in the class, but he has a LONG way to go to be NFL level good passing the football. There's a reason NFL execs wanted him to try his hand at WR and frankly, it's easy to see.
  16. Remember how good Vince Young was at Texas, Tebow at Florida or Manziel at A&M? This ain't college and Lamar isn't near polished enough to bet your future on with the 12th overall pick. You guys really can't envision how he's going to struggle at the NFL level? Really?!
  17. Everything I've seen from Beane thus far says that he is a smart man and knows better than to reach for a QB like Jackson. Not happening. DEFINITELY not at #12.
  18. Btw, at #12, as it stands, I'd take Quenton Nelson if he's there.
  19. I'm not advocating taking him at #12, but how do you figure? What makes Foles, Cousins or even Garoppolo better than Rudolph coming out in the draft? He wouldn't be starting right away anyway. I saw Ponder play in college. He's definitely better than Ponder.
  20. Who here thinks they haven't been talking? Personally, I think the Giants would be stupid to pass on a QB, but they might. Paring Nelson with Solder would do wonders for Eli, if they are going to rally around him. There could be a draft day scenario where Giants draft QB "a" and the Bills move up slightly to draft Nelson and then a trade of the 2 picks would ensue.
  21. They were also at Baker's pro day, if that means anything.
  22. They'd be fools not to. Eli is 37. QBs are going 1-2-3.
