  1. Used to be a big fan of his when I was in high school and even owned some of his comedy albums. Then I got older and just found him stupid. But the other night I watched Mr Deeds for the first time in ages and enjoyed it. I liked his sort of regular Joe shtick. I mean some people must have liked his films over the years as I think most of them were profitable.
  2. Awesome video! I thought the 2015 finale against the Jets might make it, especially McKelvin's pick off Fitz. Or at this point is that whole game just forgetful?
  3. Actually I think Doug was stricter than Bill B. Plus Bill B has the Super Bowl rings to back it up. Doug wasn't a bad coach but it was his arrogant attitude that rubbed me the wrong way, even via NFL standards. Reports came out of him being nasty to secretaries, miserable, a control freak, and I believe he thought he was going to get the Jets job so he bailed. There's a reason why his face wasn't included once in the 2014 Bills highlight video. I admit Rex who is Doug's opposite wasn't any better with his approach. Still I personally don't miss Doug.
  4. Andy just posted on there the top 50 plays from 2000-2016. Good watch https://youtu.be/CUR5QIV_np8
  5. I mean yes on paper it sounds good but I'm reading in between the lines of his dictatorship style and not coaching to players strengths
  6. Ultimately reading this article makes me realize nothing's changed with the man. His way or the highway still. http://www.firstcoastnews.com/sports/nfl/jacksonville-jaguars/jaguars-hc-doug-marrone-wants-his-players-to-have-coachability-and-availability-moving-forward/448473836
  7. Craig Ehlo. He didn't have a bad career at all but all people remember him for is getting abused by MJ
  8. Give it a couple of years after he retires and the real story may come out Met fan as well. Beltran was all right as a Met overall. I don't hold a grudge on him for striking out against Wainwright. What bothered me more about him was years later when he signed with the Yankees, his first action was to talk about how bad the Mets treated him. That was without seemingly provoked into it.
  9. Kind of always felt bad for Rich Kotite. I'm from Jersey so I'm familiar with Jet Nation. Back in the 90's he went 4-28 in two years with the team and Jet fans still curse his name, call him a loser, call him a curse, call him a waste of life, etc. Rich still lives in this area and is sort of a recluse as a result. Although Todd Bowels of late may overtake him in terms of Jet Nation dislike. In reality, Rich was able to go to a division III school (Wagner) become an All-American and make it into the NFL as a player. Think he still maybe the only person from that school's history to do so. Was a heavyweight boxing champ when he was younger and spared with Muhammed Ali. Spent many years as an assistant coach before he got a head coaching gig with Eagles. But yeah I always thought it was a case of the worst two years of his life defining him. Two other interesting coaching facts on him: -He got further in the playoffs with the Eagles then Rex's dad ever did -If you compare Rich's 6 years head coaching record to Bill Belichick's first 6 years coaching, the Win-Loss record are about the same. Kind of helps the Brady arguments that he's more important than Bill.
  10. Well how about Chris Hogan? When he was here he was just all right but in the playoffs with the Pats he came up huge. Especially in their game against the Steelers. How much of that do you attribute to coaching/environment?
  11. How about Kurt Warner and Joe Montana? I mean he got called Joe Cool for some of his personality traits as well.
  12. Pretty crazy. I think that game in 92' or 93' was the last time they actually won a game in Pittsburgh
  13. I know the week after the Oilers comeback they beat the Steelers in the playoffs. I forgot who the Steeler was but one of them before the game made the comment their overrated and haven't won anything or something like that. It was actually referenced In The Four Falls of Buffalo. I sort of remember that as well when I was in grade and school and have never cared for the Steelers/Penguins since. Maybe that came at in impressionable age? Go Preds.
  14. Jennifer Love Hewitt a few months back. Kathy Ireland & Tiffani Thiessen as well but I was beaten too it.
  15. Interesting responses. Maybe I'm wrong but Bills fans tend to be stereotyped as blue collar. Mostly everyone here's college educated and have white collar jobs
  16. Econ major as well. Work in the medical field where I've never used it too
  17. I mean if you went to college or vocational school. Drifted pretty far from my major over the years in my field. Going back to school at night
  18. Just curious do you view see somebody like this as weird or do you wish you could get to know them better? Or maybe a little of both.
  19. Never liked the way he got cut two years back when I think he still had a little in the tank. Always left a bad taste in my mouth. Whaley and Rex are gone now, so I think he'd be welcome to come back for a day. I might be wrong but I think that was their choice?
  20. Admittedly this person doesn't sound too different from myself. I deal with social anxiety and depression. I tend to think most people are all battling or going through something. I've been more honest about things recently so that's been helpful.
  21. All right hate was a bit too strong of a word. But honestly yes I always did wonder about that as this fan seemed to be implying Gronk thought he was better than the Bills and their fans.
