  1. I don't think it does for many, but definitely does for some.
  2. I didn't call any individual anything at all. And I'm not saying every individual arguing a certain point is anything, either. I wonder why some individuals are responding so explosively
  3. I just stepped back after stepping out and running errands and I can't believe the explosive response. I purposely sad that I wasn't pointing fingers at any individual and that it wasn't everyone who is "anti Tyrod," but it's part of the zeitgeist of Football. It kept Warren Moon out of the NFL for years. It's amazing how anyone can even deny it's not still prevalent in the NFL. I just read in the Josh Allen thread earlier today comment from another poster who I respect who mentioned something in response to people who didn't see the appeal of him that "he's a tall white QB" or something to that effect and no one blew up at that comment despite the obvious race implications. Amazing. Add race to religion and politics as those off-limits topics of discussion. Incredible if you really thought that was seriously that offensive.
  4. Yes. Did you not understand the word? I'm not pointing to any individual or even saying it plays a role for everyone, but it's definitely part of the football zeitgeist.
  5. Love it! I think folks are just infatuated with the traditional white pocket passer. I'm struggling to understand what you just wrote, especially your first paragraph EDIT: now I see you fixed it
  6. Arm strength to get the ball anywhere on the field. Always keeps his eyes down the field for WRs even after plays break down before he runs. One of the better QBs in the NFL on 3rd and long over the last 2 years. Work ethic. Even keeled emotionally.
  7. Funny. You don't really seem to have a clue what I actually believe if by "something he isn't" you mean an exceptional pocket passer. But I'm tired of explaining what I actually think and everyone is pretty seriously entrenched in their camps. And what's funny is that there are really 2 camps and most of these "Champions of Tyrod" are pretty much in the middle here, but because of the absolute insanity of some of the anTy arguments from the fringes, defenses like "he's been an average NFL QB" turn into lunacies like "you claimed he's better than Kelly" or "you said he's Elite." It's just stupid and frustrating. If Dennison operates an offense predicated to Taylor's strengths, Taylor could potentially have a top 10-15 QB season and with the improvements I expect on Defense, this team can finally make the playoffs. And if he can't and/or we don't, we either bench him to see Peterman for the rest of a wasted season or we just use all our stockpiled draft picks to hopefully and finally get our answer at QB. That's pretty much what the general CoT position is, at least as far as I'm concerned.
  8. Do as I say, not as I do, eh? doesn't seem like you ignore Jm very well
  9. I'm going to help you out here. You seem to think you're never dishonest but you have two good examples right here. 1) Your 3 and out comment is obviously hyperbolic, but boy is it misleading. The first two games of the season we were really bad in terms of 3 and outs. After that the offense under Taylor was actually in the top half of the league in 3 and out percentage. I don't know if you're trying to just be more of a funny man here or actually say something true, but if it's the latter, you're dishonest. 2) You left out the Jacksonville game. That was also a come from behind victory. Dishonesty. Or you just forgot. Either way, that statement was false, along with Taylor being "the only reason" for the team being down in that game. I could throw in a third dishonest aspect here, but I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you were just referring to 2016 when you were talking about Taylor playing well against winning teams. He played very well against the 2015 Houston Texans, and eventual playoff team. In fact, he let a game-winning drive at the end of fourth-quarter in the game
  10. What a weird post. 10th and scoring because of garbage time? Seriously?! And other teams don't get points and garbage time? For that matter, how many points did we score in garbage time? I hate posts like this that are ill informed
  11. Did you watch the game last night? Or any of them, for that matter? Notice all the plays from shotgun for Peterman? Did you notice they even moved him around a bit for some passes? The offensive play calling will be predicated on who's under center, and if you watched Peterman there were plenty of plays they gave him that're clearly more for Taylor... except Taylor's preseason snaps consisted mostly of plays under center where Peterman seems a bit more comfortable. Hmmm... coincidence? I think you guys have heard me say it, making plays from the pocket -- I think we've tried to force that on him and work on that, and I think he's gotten better. I think he'll be better prepared. We know he can move around, the boots, the waggles, all that stuff -- you know, the zone reads. We know he can do that and we'll definitely plan to use that in the season. But, I think in practice you've been able to see the improvement in the pocket and even some plays in the game. That was Brandon Beane yesterday. Shocking... it's like there's a plan here and Taylor's involved in it. Three or four preseason games don't earn you the starting job in the NFL. Training camp does. Sure, preseason means something. But some of you make it seem like that's all or even most of the evaluation tool coaches actually use. Too funny
  12. Educated opinion. Fair enough. At least you acknowledge you could be wrong
  13. There's not much rationale in this except for the fact that Beane and McDermott pretty consistently say that Taylor is the Bills starting QB. So, if Taylor is the Bills starting QB, that means he's the guy on the field during the regular season. And if he's the guy on the field during the regular season, that means he's the QB of the Buffalo Bills when they're either winning or losing games either largely or partially or in spite of him. And if he's the guy on the field during the regular season, and he plays really well, and the Buffalo Bills win a lot of games and make the playoffs and win a game or two or three, that means that Beane and McDermott are going to have to seriously decide whether he can be the long term answer. And if we win a bunch of games and make the playoffs, we're going to be at the bottom of round one and will need to find a trade partner if we want to trade up to get another QB because we're so unhappy with Taylor because if they win all those games with Taylor playing really well and you think they're going into the following season saying Nate Peterman is the starting QB, you're nuts. Now yes, some of those are a stretch, particularly the 2nd to last one. But if Taylor plays pretty well and the team is winning, Peterman won't even see the field. How can a guy who the coaches aren't even likely hoping to see on the football field in the regular season have more of a chance at a future in Buffalo than the guy who's going to have the opportunity to actually prove he is in live game action?
  14. Why do we need to do that if it's still doubtful he's an NFL starting QB? Prophesize away... A lot can happen in the course of a season or two. I'm sorry, are you talking about preseason here? And a preseason where the GM just publicly said that the offense he was operating really wasn't the offense he'd be operating during the regular season... are those the games you're talking about in terms of his QBR?
  15. No. Nei The fact that Taylor was at the game is actually pretty significant. It's called "cognitive rest." If he still really badly needed it, he sure wouldn't be at a football game watching his teammates and the plays he's going to run where he's really not getting that rest.
  16. I'm sorry Fig, but as much as I don't think Taylor's in Buffalo's long term future, he's got a better chance at it than Peterman, who might see 10 or 12 games, at most, this season. And even if Taylor were benched and Peterman comes in and looks really good, you think Beane (who played no part in drafting Peterman) isn't going to do everything he can to go out and get his guy in the draft with his stockpile of draft picks? Taylor and Peterman are both, at this point, longshots at being long term answers for this team at the position. But the reality is that Taylor has a more realistic shot at proving he can be this year than Peterman does.
  17. I feel like lying is a violation of the CoC or something. You should stop doing it. Weird that you're saying this about him. He's far from part of your stupid "CoT." He's always been pretty critical of Taylor, actually. Can you please grow up?
  18. Okay... so if we make the playoffs what're you gonna do, change your name? Are you actually going to actively root for Taylor to fail? No need to answer that question, actually... I already know the answer, unfortunately. Okay, now you're being an idiot. This is a complete lie. No one... absolutely no one has ever said Tyrod is better than Kelly in any way. Stop being a troll go Bills and go away, please
  19. right on cue Last I checked, it's 17 years in a row we haven't made the playoffs What are you gonna do with yourself if this team actually does make the playoffs with Taylor at the helm?
  20. It wasn't Taylor's job to lose in the Spring, apparently, when everyone was so excited about how McDermott was stressing that every single position is an open competition. So, if it's Taylor's job to lose, it's because he pretty clearly earned it through the spring camps and training camp. Occam's razor, folks. Why are we making this so complicated? Because of a few meaningless preseason games? I won't be one of them. You and OS and Crusher and xRushx and your ilk just don't get it: There is no CoT! We're Bills fans, and if Taylor is bad (for me) for the first 3 or 4 games, I'll be happy to see him pulled and see Peterman in there. This QB discussion will then turn into the handful of you probably continually berating other posters (your professed "CoT") for saying things they never said. Some people thrive off animosity. Have at it and enjoy. I just want a goddamn playoff season and I don't care who's under center when it happens!
  21. I'll give you this: Champions of Tyrod and your definition of it is much more reasonable than those zany "Church of Tyrod" pushers So what you think then is that McDermott is going in with a plan to watch Taylor lose us a few games in order to put Peterman in after he's lost his job? Or you think he's putting Taylor in so this team can lose the most games possible? He said that there was pretty much an open competition at every position including QB way back in the spring and yet, McDermott has been pretty emphatic about Taylor being the starting QB. So, if you think he's a liar and is trying to do one of the 2 things above, yeah maybe. I don't think McDermott wants to lose games on purpose though and I don't think he wants to tank. But go on... keep up the narrative that Peterman actually won over Dennison and McDermott and it's some elaborate conspiracy to start Taylor instead Seems like wishful thinking for all you anTy posters
