  1. I'm a Foster over Zay type. I actually think this Sunday Foster is going to have at least a couple big catches. Watching those plays Joe B highlighted where Foster was clearly the target and got open but the ball just never got to him tells me Daboll has plans for him. Zay has been a waste of space. I know Gunner points to his run blocking, but ya know who proved to be a pretty damn good run blocker in preseason? Da Duke thus... I am also a Duke over Zay type of guy. But seems this coaching staff is trying to allow time for the light to go on for Zay. So be it. Duke's still on our team. I suspect if another team poaches him we call him up.
  2. I thought about saying this in our other conversation in the other thread, but it would've just taken that thread into it's 3rd or 4th tangent. Agreed.
  3. Anyone notice how unenthusiastically Zay slapped his hand? Zay's thinkin "Oooooohhhhh crap!!!! I'm on thin ice and that guy's next man up!!!"
  4. The thing is, Beane didn't even draft him, but he's the one who talks him up all the time. Soooo.... not much longer then? Is that what the reposting of that thread is supposed to indicate? Not remotely hiding how much I hated the Allen pick when we drafted him. Not true. Go look at my posting history regarding Peterman.
  5. I don't know about this. Foster missed a block I saw highlighted on offense a week ago I think, but he does play on Special teams. Plus... https://theathletic.com/1219528/2019/09/17/bills-all-22-review-how-the-week-2-film-shows-josh-allen-set-his-new-gold-standard-and-grades-for-each-player/ 5) Fear not, the deep shot to Foster is on the way In 2018, wide receiver Robert Foster became a late-season gem after he turned everything around with the help of his teammates. Before training camp, some of those high expectations were still in place. Now, Foster has settled into his role as the fourth wide receiver and has zero receptions with only two targets to his name thus far. While the passing volume of last season won’t be there for Foster unless there’s an injury, a splash play is likely on the way. After reviewing the coaches’ film, the Bills and Allen had three designed deep shots dialed up for Foster, but none came to fruition. In the following video, you’ll see three separate plays that show Foster as Allen’s target upon winning his deep route against the defender. On the first, Allen was looking Foster’s way initially, but the Giants flushed him from the pocket. On the second play, Allen reared back to lead Foster to the end zone, but the Giants deflected the ball during his throwing motion. On the third example, Foster won his route and Allen ignored the open receiver over the middle of the field to attempt to buy time. He wanted to let the route develop and step into the throw, as the end zone angle shows — only to get sacked. https://cdn.theathletic.com/app/uploads/2019/09/17213005/0917-Robert-Foster.m4v?_=3 That link is to the video, which actually shows the 3 plays designed to Foster. The link might not work, though. It's a subscription story. And he's open on all 3 plays. They just didn't work for the reasons highlighted above.
  6. I am doing this to a large degree. And I understand that. It's a ball he could have caught and it wouldn't have taken Herculean efforts. He has never come up with a catch like that in the NFL, to the best of my recollection, and when he was drafted he was basically advertised as the guy who catches everything. When we kept him on the roster, I was open minded he'd take a big 3rd year leap. I'd still love to see it. But it's going to take a catch or two like that one that he actually makes. I think you're being a bit liberal with the word "outstanding." OBJ's one-handed catch on Monday night against the Jets was outstanding. Zay's catch (if he made it) in the EZ wouldn't have been outstanding. Agreed.
  7. Fine, 6 or 7 times out of 10. Better side of 50%. I call bull on the idea that NFL WRs would only catch 25% of any passes similar to that. Cole did actually make a similar catch earlier in that game extending his arms and catching with his hands, which was what Zay had to do. That ball hit him square on his hands. It was a difficult catch, but he made it. You're also right, though. We scrutinize the play because it's Zay. I genuinely can't think of a time in the last 2 years where I thought "that was a great catch by Zay!" Can you? We scrutinize the play because it's just another pass he could've caught, but didn't.
  8. I mean it's not a catch I could come up with, but I think it's one an NFL WR should make 8 or 9 times out of 10. Zay has had more egregious drops in his career though. Still don't know why the broadcast didn't replay that.
  9. All-22 is up. I just don't have access to it from where I am right now and can't find the play on twitter. That's a play I'd definitely like to see. I was surprised they didn't replay it during the broadcast.
  10. Has anyone had a chance to look at the All-22 clip of Allen's pass to Zay Jones in the EZ? Tried looking for it quick on twitter but couldn't find it. I'd just like to see the angles and see how close it was to being a catch. The in-game camera angle was horrible.
  11. Why is Baker above Allen?
  12. Ooooohhhh I love these charts! Thanks for posting!
  13. It matters and mattered as a team stat. A handful of posters viewed it as the definition of accuracy.
  14. Hope that was enjoyable. I disagree. Have fun.
  15. Good stuff man! I genuinely hope this game got your family a little excited to make Bills games every week a thing with you and they become as ravenous as you
  16. No, ultimately his bugaboos are just no worse or different from the typical NFL Franchise QB, all of whom have occasionally spotty accuracy and turn the ball over. It's not saying they aren't things to work on, it's that he's not unique in that sense.
  17. @Deranged Rhino you keep repeating Joe has no shot to win in almost every post as though the more times you say it, the more true it is. That's not how it works, just to let you know. But just so I'm crystal clear, are you saying Joe has no shot to win the general election OR the primary as you'd been saying for months or are you finally conceding he can win the primary but stands no chance in the general? And please don't try saying you never said Joe had no shot at the primary, we all know that's not true. But once we get that part finally straightened out, what I believe you really like to do here, from what I've seen, is engage in rhetorical arguments. It seems that's what many of you like to do. Any time I see a poster comment on a poster like me choosing not to engage because their scared or weak or whatever, it's clear you want nothing more than to argue rhetoric. Rhetoric and politics are undeniably linked, so it makes sense. The problem is that you cherry pick what are often comparatively miniscule things in comparison with the big picture constantly while simultaneously denying the big picture itself. Trump won the 2016 election. Obviously. I think he loses the next election because of a lot of the reasons I've already laid out for you that you simply say are not true. Fine, I disagree with you. I think my reasons are true, thus, I think Trump loses. And it'll probably help that I don't think we're going to have 7.5 million people in our country throw away their votes on someone other than the top 2 candidates, which is what happened in 2016 and it was by far the biggest number of votes cast by at least 4 million since the 2000 election, and I'm betting history, but I won't go back to every single presidential election to figure that out. And if people aren't throwing votes away like last time and Trump won thanks to just under 80,000 votes that swung the electoral map in his favor in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania... well... you get what I'm saying, even though I can already anticipate what you'll say. And I disagree. And round and round we go.
  18. Couldn't tell on the Zay EZ pass because of the camera angle and the broadcast didn't replay it for some reason so never got a good look. I'll take your word for it if you did. That Knox whiff was a killer and it seemed to also be the moment our offensive momentum just stopped today.
  19. at 7.3 YPA after being told for months that Allen is what he is: a sub 60% passer. Well, we're only 3 games in, but he's been pretty consistently in that upper side of 60% range. We as Bills fans are probably catching on that Allen can be an accurate QB. I wonder how long it takes everyone else to see it...
  20. No. Progressives hate Trump. That will get them out to vote no matter who the candidate is. The real reason Trump won 2016 had more to do with who didn't show up to the polls or voted 3rd party because of the widely publicized "gimme" Hilary had in that election than it did some widespread seismic shift in our country. Trump getting elected woke a lot of people the hell up. Your view is clearly that Trump's election was THE indicator of a massive idelogical shift in our country, I believe it's the result of widespread complacency that just won't happen again.
  21. Piss poor point, considering you're wrong.
