https://theathletic.com/1274413/2019/10/08/bills-film-room-how-the-game-plan-and-josh-allens-distribution-opened-up-the-offense/ With his performance, Allen ranked fifth in Pro Football Focus’ adjusted completion percentage for Week 5, with an 85.7 percent accuracy rating. A lot of that had to do with the line giving him the time to scan the field at his own pace.

Wow, makin that 6,000 mile flight to be in WNY for the holiday season? Good for you! My favorite time to visit! I'm actually here right now and super bummed the 2 Sundays I'm here are the Titans game the other day and our bye week. Oh well... gotta go off the public school breaks. -
Zay Jones traded to Raiders for 5th rounder
transplantbillsfan replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So sensitive! Fact of the matter is that some posters thought Zay should have never been on the team at all this year. @Alphadawg7 being the first on board probably. I wish no I'll will on Zay, I just don't think he belongs on a football field until he gets his head straight, which might be never. From the time in the preseason that he couldn't reel in that pass from Allen by the EZ before getting hit, which coincided with the rise of Duuuuuuuke, a number of us wanted Zay off the team in large part so Duke could be on. Zay just sucks right now and has for his career. Yes, expectations were high for him, so that factors in, but I can't remember a Wr we've had that I whoop out of near shock so loud when he actually catches the football. And sadly that's not hyperbole. Happy trails Zay, I hope you turn your career around, but I'm happy I never have to type your name in on my tablet and get "Zay" automatically changed to "Say" again! -
Zay Jones traded to Raiders for 5th rounder

Yeah that's why I'm happy we got a 5th, even if it's in 2021. Really wish we traded him before the season when his value was at its peak. I guess Beane just really liked the kid and wanted to give him another shot. -

Without reading 18 pages, are the posters like @JoPar_v2 @LSHMEAB & @LOVEMESOMEBILLS hiding right now or are they owning up to Zay not being the "established NFL WR" some on here believe he was? I can't believe we got a 5th for him! Even if it's for 2021. Great job Beane! -
Nowhere near them? Colts just beat the Chiefs. Bills lost last weekend to the Pats by 6 points in a game where they scored a a Td on a blocked punt and our starting QB threw 3 interceptions. Not to mention Allen getting knocked out of the game for the entire 4th quarter after seemingly starting to figure things out. The Bills might be #3 in the AFC, but it's not a distant 3rd.

Robert Foster groin injury

I'm actually glad he's injured, as weird as it might be. I thought he was in the doghouse. Once he's healthy, cut or trade Zay, please. -
Week 7 Against Miami - Allen's First 300 Yard Game
transplantbillsfan replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who cares if it is? 200 yards and 3 TDs and, most importantly, the W will do. -
At the risk of the Mahomes talk continuing, a couple thoughts: Mahomes is a great QB and will continue to be a great QB for his entire career, health pending. BUT... He sat for a year behind a really good veteran QB under the tutelage of a Head Coach with tons of history in developing QBs. And for as much as he was labelled ad "raw" coming out of College, he had 600 more college passing attempts on a D1 team whose competition was significantly greater than that of what Allen saw in Wyoming. And you can go as far back as High School to find the lack of specialization or QB camps that all QBs who wind up in the NFL likely go through. Amazingly, Allen still has A LOT to learn in the NFL game. But you can see strides from last season he's made with regard to accuracy and especially decision making. Right now Allen is still learning while playing, and it's obvious. I don't know that Allen will ever be as good as Mahomes--who is certainly on the trajectory to be the best QB in NFL history statistically--but as cliche as this argument might be, Mahomes wouldn't have been Mahomes in Buffalo. He would have been forced into the starting lineup in 2017 when Taylor struggled in that Rick Dennison offense with a putrid OL and horrible WR corps and Mahomes wouldn't have been putting up the video game numbers he puts up in KC. Mahomes has had a great team and a great coach surrounding him the last 2 years. And he's been great. None of those things are mutually exclusive. Last year our Defense was great but our offense was bad, particularly at OL and WR. The Bills are still putting the pieces around Allen, and I don't think McBeane are done yet. But with those added pieces, you can SEE the improvements, even if the stats aren't reflected there. So while I honestly don't think it's reasonable to expect Allen to be better than Mahomes, over the span of their careers I do believe it's possible Allen can be the Jim Kelly to Mahomes's Marino. Give Mahomes the statistics and personal accolades. Give us the Championships... just make them NFL Championships rather than Conference

Good stuff. About the Lorax horse collar. I'm fine with it and I think he was aware of it as he was doing it. Henry had a lot of open field to his right and Alexander was pretty much the last line of defense. Without that 15 yard horse collar, I don't think he's able to tackle Henry who might've run all the way into the EZ.

I disagree, but it's just nitpicking at this point. That INT was a terrible decision on his part. Otherwise, against a fantastic D--which the Titans clearly are--Allen was pretty consistently making good decisions with the ball and throwing accurately. Hell, Knox had a drop, Sweeney had a drop, Knox had a pass knocked away on a great defensive play. Other than the INT, most (if not all) of the other 5 incompletions were good decisions on Throwaways by Allen. I thought this was a fantastic rebound game for Allen.

The Duke Williams Bandwagon Post
transplantbillsfan replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. Don't compare Duke with Darick Rodgers. Compare his situation with Fred Jackson. Fantastic preseason performance STILL overlooked by the coaching staff. Keeps workin and grinding. Gets his chance. And right out the gate proves he belongs on the field. Buh bye Zay... -
Duke signed to active roster
transplantbillsfan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The fact that he was promoted to the active roster in the first place is a real piece of evidence in and of itself considering the perspectives of some posters on him. -

Better late than never It's going to be interesting to see how much time he sees on offense, if any. -
