Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
transplantbillsfan replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Remember how I said it's ANY Democratic candidate vs Trump because I wasn't hitching my wagon to Biden? Yeah. So there's that. But at least you put yourself on record for like the 40th time that Biden won't be the nominee. So wishy washy -
Jesus. I came here just to see if there would be ANY shift whatsoever. All you Trump lovers (sorry, that's maybe the most neutral word for you at this point), can you acknowledge, very simply, that IF Trump withheld money from the Ukraine--entirely, or in part, because he wanted them to investigate the Bidens--he deserves to be impeached? If you say no, you're clearly not as much of a Patriot as many of you claim to be or at least present yourselves as. The fact is that there is evidently a whistleblower who, according to reports (it HAS to be merely reported since Trump and the White House have tried to stonewall the legal process for whistleblower release) has evidence against Trump based on multiple instances, not just one... so do you guys even give a $#!+? This is the 3rd President in our entire history to be impeached, and neither of the previous 2 were impeached for what the current inquiry is for, which is coercing a foreign government for political gain. I'm genuinely curious because this is the President of our country. This is seriously screwed up if proven true. Probably treasonous. Do you care? I feel like most of you are thinking you're captains of your own crazy ships in the 1700s and it's your obligation to go down with your ship. Wrong metaphor folks. Where there's smoke there's fire. Your house is burning. You've already inhaled a lot of smoke. Just get out while you can. Fuggin FOX News. Unreal. And you criticize others for their media choices I call your Faux News unnamed source and raise you TWO unnamed sources PLUS the actual assessment of the Intelligence Community IG:

Who is your most hated team in the NFC?
transplantbillsfan replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was astounded that this was a question, then I saw this was our friendly neighborhood Packer fan. Without even reading a single response, everyone over 35 I can guarantee said Dallas. Those who didn't... well... I feel bad they didn't even taste the glory years. -
That play was absolutely a horrible play on his part. It's something he really REALLY needs to stop doing. Yet... If it resulted in a completion and a big play, we wouldn't be harping on it that much. Look, I completely 100% agree needs to stop making that specific throw, which he's already done a couple times this year. But I don't know if he ever stops. I really think we might need to just suffer through it. It's the flipside of Allen being probably the most difficult QB in the NFL to take down in the backfield. All of that said, Lamar Jackson made one of those absolute boneheaded throws that should have been intercepted across the field in the Chiefs game, but his WR caught it. And right now on talk shows you hear a lot of people talking about how gritty Jackson was for the Ravens at the end of that game as he almost brought his team back.

Allen 3rd highest rated passer in 4th Q
transplantbillsfan replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering he has 2 4th Quarter comebacks and Game Winning Drives in his first 3 games, this shouldn't be a surprise. -
The miss to Zay hurt, but it was a bit of an awkward delivery towards the end of a broken play. As play on the the deep shot to Foster began, I could just tell there was a deep shot designed to him based on who was on the field with him... I think the Bengals saw those 3 missed deep shots to Foster last week and took note. Hence, 2 guys down in the EZ with him with good coverage.

Why would I make it a whole new thread when I can just update this one? To be clear, I do think completion percentage is meaningful. You're an idiot if you don't think it is. It means your WRs and TEs and RBs are catching passes from the QB, which is thus helping to advance the ball... and that's why I also posted YPA. The 2 should be taken largely together. HOWEVER, the narrative, very simply, has been this: Completion percentage = QB Accuracy, therefore, Josh Allen is an inaccurate QB. And then some random wildly missed throws are cherry picked to further "prove" that point. I never agreed with that narrative because I watched all his passes multiple times last year. And (sorry @Bangarang) I did say in the offseason after looking at his passes that I thought his accuracy was fine when compared with his peers and that I thought he'd be above 60% this year.

Duke Williams impressing again...activate him!
transplantbillsfan replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is it warranted? Possibly, though it's not like he plays any of them very well. Is the phrase Jack or Pauper of all trades? It'd be nice if he did things WRs are supposed to do At a decent level. Because while it's merely preseason and practice, he makes contested catches we've NEVER seen Zay make in games, preseason or practice. Zay's propensity to not come down with the football has hurt his team in the past and, if the dropsies keep up, could hurt the team this year. If his primary function is as a blocker, that's something else we saw a lot of promise in for Duke in the preseason, too. Doing one or two things really well is more helpful than being bleh at a bunch of things. But aside from that, why is he limited? His speed? In 2 preseason games he came down with a short and intermediate crosser in the middle of the field and 2 fade routes for TDs and then in practice here in the OP is a go route against Tre, who might've been wearing a red jersey but since he's playing Sunday, wasn't nothing. He can also run block. Truthfully, I'm fine with Duke on the PS as long as we keep him there. I do think we promote him if he's poached. I've been having a little fun with some hyperbole above. But I do think Zay is just bad. Waiting for the improvement. But it's year 3... too long. Give Foster the #3 role. Teach him how to run block. Wonder if part of the motivation to have him play on Special Teams is to give him a taste for hitting. -
So The Athletic has an article up bringing up some significant stats. Subscribe to see everything, but remember how last year some of us argued one of the factors of Allen's low completion percentage was that he threw the ball farther down the field on average by almost a full yard more than any other QB? Well now he's right around the middle of the pack at 12, right behind Big Ben and just ahead of Dak.

Duke Williams impressing again...activate him!
transplantbillsfan replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Duke is an unknown with lots of promise. Zay can't even establish himself as a top 3 WR amidst below average WR corps. He has only caught the ball on 47% of his targets in his entire career. Zay is NOT good. He is extremely expendable. Pretty simple. Cut Zay. Promote Duke. Stop debating. -
New Antonio Brown Article
transplantbillsfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Karma for Antonio Brown. Such a scumbucket. I'm so sooooOoooo glad he put up a fight and didn't want to come to Buffalo and McBeane seemingly basically said, "okay, moving on..." I think there's a good chance he's done in the NFL. I'll be surprised if he plays again this year. But this is also Karma for the Patriots and their shady ways. Love that they traded Demaryus Thomas and IRed their 1st round WR. -

No, look at what you said. You said he looked absolutely pooped. You didn't say it was a wild guess he was absolutely pooped. Backtracking is fine in this case, though. There ya go. At least you quickly realized the stupidity of your previous statement. We've all done it -
Duke Williams impressing again...activate him!
transplantbillsfan replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not one catch. By my count I think we have access to at least 5 catches via preseason games AND in practice via twitter that are more impressive as catches than anything we've seen from Zay in 2+ years in the NFL. And it doesn't matter the competition... Duke made those spectacular catches that Zay NEVER EVER does. -
Duke Williams impressing again...activate him!
transplantbillsfan replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2nd AND 3rd stringers. He was also a monster run blocker with his 1st string reps. Zay is in year 3 and he still sucks. He was a 2nd round WR with 1st round talk. Patience for a player like that is 1 year, not 2+ years. He sucks. If he turns it around suddenly, awesome. But I have no more patience for him and I really think Duke is putting some pressure on him to perform. Like I said before, you can see it in the way he "congratulates" Duke after that catch. Zay is on borrowed time, I hope he uses it wisely. -
