  1. What he says... That's because our WRs are actually catching footballs and making plays in those games. He would have been over 60% again last night if not for more drops.
  2. Only 2 completions in the 4th quarter yesterday, but one was the 40 yarder to John Brown and the other was a TD pass on 3rd and 9. Pretty huge. Would love to see our HC & OC stop being so damn conservative, though. 2 3 & outs after that TD when a couple 1st downs coulda ended it... ridiculous we don't even make a real effort to get those 1st downs.
  3. No. No. No. Own the opponent. I understand who we were playing against. That wasn't the Baltimore defense from last week. Pittsburgh was actually a lighter defense than what Buffalo saw last week. But our play calling still allowed the opponent to potentially tie the football game within the final 2 minutes of the football game (TWICE!!!!) when it NEVER should have come to that. Our coaches don't coach to win. They coach not to lose. That's fine against Devlin Hodges. How's it going to work in the playoffs against Brady/Jackson/Mahomes/Watson???
  4. The Bills made the playoffs 2 years ago. How is this a measuring stick? I think Allen could be much better right now. I also fear this style of conservative coaching in the playoffs. Running the ball 3 times inside the opponents' 10 yard line (while being closer to the 10 than the 5) demonstrates fear, and lots of it. Fear trounces you out of the playoffs. So sick of cowardly coaching.
  5. I thought Allen would get above 60% completion percentage. I actually still think he's going to be a bit above 60% when all is said and done. It would help if our WRs weren't smurfs and could catch the damn ball. Before you freak out about me being hyperbolic, the Bills had BY FAR the highest drop percentage in the nfl coming in to this week. Can't imagine this game helped, either.
  6. Regardless, it irritates me. We will lose a playoff game because of that if it spills into the playoffs, which is likely.
  7. Anybody else feel like our Offensive Coordinator sucks???
  8. You left one thing out.... WRs actually catching the ball...
  9. I hate Brian Daboll. What a moron!!! Hey @Bangarang... you blaming Allen for the last 2 plays????
  10. McDermott is a panzy!!! You don't even TRY for a FG?!?!?! Are you kidding me?!?! I was wrong. Allen will NEVER be league MVP because of how conservative our HC is
  11. No. I’m very excited about Knox’s future, but right now he’s utterly unreliable when it comes to catching the football, and I believe these drops could also have a cumulative impact on Allen and his confidence. Tony Gonzales had a real problem with drops at the beginning of his career by his own admission, but he fixed that with hard work and practice. Knox could do the same, but we’re worrying about THIS YEAR.
  12. Yes. I posted last night that we have the highest drop % in the NFL by far. It's staggering, and in a one and done playoff scenario it's really going to matter. Off the top of my head there were 3 blatant drops last week. It was my reasoning with regard to needing to activate Duke Williams. He might not even be on this team next year, but he's the most reliable pass catcher this team has.
  13. Yikes. No ***** Sherlock. Stop being the blind curmudgeon you've proven to be in your obvious personal distaste for me as a poster and read the friggin words that you bolded. Try comprehending what those words actually say before you go on the attack.
  14. No one is saying give up. But we need a reliable pass catcher THIS YEAR. Duke was only targeted 8 times during the regular season but caught 7 of those passes. I believe he caught every target in the preseason. The Bills and Josh Allen in particular need a reliable pass catcher like that in certain situations THIS YEAR! This isn't a long term thing for Duke. Is there a big reliable pass catching WR in the draft? If there is and he's worthy of a 1st round pick I expect we target him in the draft and then Duke is likely not even on the roster next year... BUT... this team is playing for THIS year. Activate Duke because he's the most surehanded guy we have on this team.
  15. I think coaches can get blinded by their own philosophies and schemes and I think that's what's happened with Daboll, who likely has final say in the offensive personnel he's going to use, thus who's active on gameday.
  16. The premise is that it would be for more than just 3 games. This team actually has a chance at making legitimate playoff noise this year. Allen is still learning and growing and he's going to take his lumps, which only leaves us to look at improving play calling, offensive execution and offensive talent. Execution probably is what it is 13 games in. Play calling probably is what it is 13 games in. That leaves offensive talent for this stretch run and (I believe and hope) a multi game playoff run. Dropping 15% of the passes thrown to you is pretty bad for any NFL WR or TE.
  17. Wow. Really idiotic. Especially now in a league that's pretty obviously veering strongly away from the statuesque QB and in a year when Brady blows.
  18. Knox can't catch. That's one of just 2 critical components Stop being such a whiny cotton headed ninny muggins. I'm looking at this year. Duke can be cut in the offseason for all I care so long as we take care of the prerequisite qualifications. Stop focusing on your misconception that I'm comparing Duke Williams with Gonzalez and Gronk--which I'm not--and start focusing on our most disturbing issue... HIGHEST DROP PERCENTAGE IN THE NFL
