  1. Don't hear anything about polls? If you wanna hear about polls, here's the summary: Biden is winning.
  2. Said by no one with a "wonderful sense of humor"
  3. Leave it to DR to have no sense of humor. You sure you aren't just a Russian bot?
  4. I'm kinda excited to see this place in November. I wasn't around for any of the Presidential elections, but I get the sense that after the election in November this will be a very pleasant place as winners and losers come together in a time to celebrate, unite and congratulate one another, making amends of their differences. That's what happens, right?
  5. I did say they were warned and briefed by the FBI. They were warned and briefed that the Russians were trying to meddle in the election.
  6. Wrong all the way, huh? Did the Trump campaign get warned about Russian meddling or not? I'll answer for you because the simple FACT is yes, as Trump's own current AG admits. I know you're getting stressed about the new avatar you're going to have to deal with, but try not to panic.
  7. For someone not in the room when these threats were discussed, you seem to be reaching your own conclusion of the words of an AG who moments before denied it even happened and then had to correct himself. In fact Barr was asked directly "what the Russians were trying to do and advise him to tell people affiliated with his campaign to be on their guard and be vigilant about Russian efforts to undermine public confidence in the election." Barr responded "My understanding is that didn't happen, Under these circumstances, it's one of the things that I can't fathom why it did not happen, if you're concerned about interference in the election and you have substantial people involved in the campaign who were former U.S. attorneys" Then after an apparent break, Barr comes back and has to walk back his comments. One might argue in his situation as he contradicts something he just said he did so artfully and diplomatically. Nonetheless, it demonstrates that the Obama Administration did, in fact, warn the Trump campaign about Russian meddling and interference. If you want to argue they didn't go far enough, that's a different discussion. But anyone saying the Trump campaign wasn't warned about Russian meddling is just plain wrong, as current AG Bill Barr himself acknowledged publicly.
  8. Dude you're having a different conversation. Go back and read how this back and forth started between DR and me.
  9. Who said good? It's just recent. Plus it was a Republican Administration so you right wingers over here can frolic in the reference.
  10. As I said, Trump was warned Russians were meddling. Both he and Hilary were warned in August of 2016. Can't muster up the courage to admit you were wrong, can you?
  11. Bush was Cheney's puppet and Karl Rove and Donald Rumsfeld did A LOT in that Administration as well. You're acting like this would be the first time in history the President delegated power. A good leader appoints good people he trusts underneath him rather than micromanaging every single issue. One of the biggest problems with the Trump administration is he's constantly micromanaging and trusts no one.
  12. Yep. This is the way I see it. His VP choice is going to be a big deal. I said since Biden entered the race that a Biden-Harris ticket would be very likely. I'll stick with that. Choosing her would be another boost to the campaign.
  13. You should check your facts. You're wrong. Both Trump and Hillary were warned about Russian interference. Bill Barr acknowledges this.
  14. It would tell me there are more than a bunch of white voices in this forum talking about issues of race and racial injustice. It would tell me there are actually people in this forum who have experienced the systemic racism to some degree who are talking about it rather than a bunch of armchair quarterbacks.
  15. -Households making between $250-$500k saw their tax liability go down by 14.4% as compared with 12.5% in the lowest income bracket at $15-$20k. The ability to write off Home Equity loan interest primarily hurts the middle class. The cuts to corporate (reduced 14%) and estate (exemption raised from $5.4 to $11.4 million)taxes primarily helps the wealthy. Tell me again how this was not primarily targeted to help the wealthy. As for the national debt, Trump and the Republicans pretty strongly advertised that the tax cuts would pay for themselves as part of the push to pass the tax bill. You're saying he knowingly lied and you're fine with that? -Good for you, but way to sidestep the provided and requested fact. -I won't bemoan you of this, but it is my understanding that you retired at a relatively young age. Is that correct? I realize I don't actually know how old you are, but I thought you were younger... like in your 40s or early 50s. If so, you and your hubby are probably in a pretty good place financially and have been for years I apologize if I'm mistaken on that last point but it seems like a logical conclusion if you were able to retire young. understand some individuals might be paying more under Obamacare and I'm not going to pretend it's a perfect law, but it's done a lot more good than bad in this country, especially for low income uninsured people. -Not feelz because he had a clear inability to understand that it was wrong to use force to clear out peaceful protesters so he could clear a path for himself for a photo op. Do you dispute that actually happened? -Again. Good for you. It's why you're going to vote for him. History will look back on his Presidency as one step back for environmental progress, though. -Those treaties don't just apply to "being the World's policeman." Connected to the previous point the Paris Climate agreement was one. The world is continuing to be more and more global despite the movements toward isolationism popping up recently. Being more connected than ever, the world is likely going to continue on that path to global cooperation. -I don't watch CNN. How many "acting" officials has he had? Trump's turnover rate for his high level officials is higher than Reagan, either Bush, or Obama. -It's not true he plays golf way more than President Obama did? It's not true that he constantly plays on his own resorts or spends weekends in Mara Lago in a resort his company owns? It's not true his company benefits financially in some way from him doing this? It's not true that out of the blue we started flying Military planes to a small airport near one of Trump's Golf courses out of the blue? - -For 3 years what Trump had going was he didn't screw things up with the economy that had been steadily building for double that time under the Obama administration. That's the credit he deserves. He wasn't some miracle worker bringing an economy back from shambles like the next President will have to do. -Trump didn't create the virus and there's certainly blame to go around to Governors, but the buck obviously stops with him. This topic has been talked in circles, but if you still think Trump and his Administration have no culpability in the sheer number of sick and dead people in this country then maybe it's you who needs to find a different news source. -"Law and Order," "Dominate the streets," "This is a great day for George Floyd," etc. -Except the Obama Administration warned the Trump campaign as well. You guys have your conspiracy theories you're going to roll with. Again I encourage you to find a different News source yourself.
  16. Do you honestly think that's the breakdown in terms of consistent posters in PPP? I would be pleased and quite surprised if at least 20% of those who frequent this forum are minorities.
  17. You need to be able to distinguish between races in order to talk about race.
  18. It's not each Individual answer that's all that revealing, it's the demographics of this forum as a whole.
  19. I'm not going to start the thread, but if you're really trying to break this issue down, ask 1 simple question: Are you caucasian? I just posed this question in another thread largely because I'm curious if there's actually anyone not dominantly white who frequents this forum. If you pose that as a poll and people are honest and the vast majority of consistent posters claim they are, I think it answers a lot of questions.
  20. Right back at ya... You're the one asking how you could support Biden if Institutional racism is your issue. Pretty sure that's the issue for black people. Seems the support leans overwhelmingly for Biden over Trump from black people. I understand the reason you're dismissive of the question even though the question is warranted given your own pretty definitive question. So do you think all those black people supporting Biden right now and voting for him in the Fall are dumb or naive or misguided or whatever word you want to use? Just keep in mind Biden will almost certainly get 85-90% of the black vote, at least. Side question: is everyone in this forum white? Are there any black people who frequent PPP?
  21. Lots of black people do, especially old black people. Do you think black people--especially old black people--are stupid? They definitely don't support Trump, who will probably be jumping for joy if he can muster up 10% of the black vote.
