  1. Just sit back and watch the artistry that is Patrick Mahomes...unreal...
  2. While it’s interesting to think about, I am glad the Bills were nowhere near the super bowl this year- as they would likely lose if they got there- which would have been even more humiliating to fans... When the Bills finally do return to the big game I want them to be so dominant that fans know they have good shot at winning...this was not that year imo...
  3. Such an uninspired performance...at least the Bills showed heart in their loss...
  4. I wanna see Josh calling his own plays next year...
  5. Unfortunately, there is no disputing that...
  6. Most Bills fans on TBD seem to want Daboll on a midnight train outta town...Idk, I would hate starting over at OC...
  7. Beane trying to top the list of billsiest things ever...? Lighten up...it’s Friday! ?
  8. I don’t like the idea spending a 1st rounder on OG- especially when we have options in house...would rather see a skill position drafted there...
  9. I stand by my longer post above, which lends some more insight into this...?
  10. But why? Are the Nyree’s and Leeroy’s in my life not good enough for you? Your post indicates that I don’t know enough black people in my life to have a proper understanding...which seems rather entertaining considering my family is black... I asked that simple question because it only required a simple answer...and that answer is that not all black people are oppressed just because they are black and not all white people are oppressors just because they are white...and in many cases “oppression” can also be a state of mind... I am black and had very little while growing up... but I was never oppressed...there was no one keeping back...it was through hard work (sometimes working 3 jobs to get myself through college) that now I live the American dream in the greatest land on the face of the earth. I loath discrimination against ALL people, not just minorities...and I will defend any group of people that I see it happening to- including white people...so if people have to discriminate against another group to create “equality” that is not equality to me...2 wrongs don’t make a right...it’s not something you can manufacture or make people do- because that leads to tyranny... That is why education is the best way to me...it has worked in the past and I believe it will continue to work in the future...aaa sand you don’t build resentment with other groups of people...?
  11. SDS I really appreciate you allowing us to have this civil discussion...it has been a pleasure learning and sharing with my bills brethren...?
  12. If a black kid comes from a home that brings in over $200,000 and is able to send him to a private school, does he have more privilege than a white kid growing up in the sticks, whose family can barely make ends meet? serious question...
  13. I agree...get a real MLB and move Edmonds to Milano’s spot...
  14. On top of this, if I’m an owner looking for a HC, I want no stone left unturned- I’m looking for the best coaches regardless...
  15. Well that’s only because most minorities didn’t play the position back in the day... But once they started playing at younger and younger ages, started playing the position in college, and now it’s prominent in the NFL...the free market worked. ? The talent couldn’t be denied and teams wanted to win!
  16. With all due respect, I flat out disagree with this view with every fiber of my being....I disagree that there should be equal representation across all aspects of society based on population of race rather than competence of the individual....An owner should be FREE to choose the best course for HIS business...and while no way is perfect, allowing for more freedom (not less) is always the best way to ensure success...has nothing to do with the “way it looks”.
  17. It seemed to work with black QBs in the league...they are more prominent than ever before, and there was no affirmative action rule or legislation that made it that way...people just recognized that those QBs are just as successful or more than whites...
  18. Well, I’m fine with teams being required to interview minority candidates...but it seems like Steven A Smith and ESPN are not happy about that, and want more to be done... My issue with that view is that now you’re getting into the arena of trying to decipher intent of the people doing the interviewing and hiring- which is a slippery slope that people shouldn’t want to go down...
  19. I figured...I’m the other way where I feel life isn’t perfect- and will never be...and typically if we artificially try to change an outcome, we usually create the same problem we are trying to fix...The issue in this thread is very similar to affirmative action- where people who claim they want equality are actually discriminating against another race of people to achieve it...Discrimination is bad, no doubt, but two wrongs don’t make a right in my book ? Like I said before, people should be allowed to hire whoever they want...if that means discriminating against the better candidate, so be it...their team will then suffer the consequences...for every action there is a reaction- that’s how the universe works...
  20. I understand where you’re coming from but I think this might be getting too nit picky...who are we to say what interviews are fake or real? I think we start to cross a fine line once we do that...it’s like a previous poster said, the owner is going to want the best talent for his team...so if the owner chooses not to interview that candidate, then their “punishment “ is that they’re not getting the best talent...I don’t really see a need to put all these artificial designs to “fix” the system...more times than not it works itself out...
