I don't know what the salary cap implications are but the first thing I'd do after the season is cut Rodgers, Adams, Lazard, and fire every member of the coaching staff. This will hopefully signal to potential head coaching candidates and GM's they aren't interested in short term fixes anymore. You need a GM and head coach that can convince the young talent they do have (Wilson, Sauce, Johnson, McDonald, Quincy, Hall, Reed, etc.) they're committed to building a sustainable winning culture. Give Mike Vrabel a blank check to be the head coach because that's the type of personality they need right now.
Then go out and sign a well liked bridge quarterback (Tyrod Taylor would actually be perfect) and draft a QB of the future. Teams can turn around quick with the right GM, head coach, and young quarterback. Look at Washington this year. Look at the Texans the year before. Or they can run it back and we can continue laughing at the absolute disaster that the organization is right now.
That's how pathetic this organization has become. Robert Saleh has become a sympathetic figure in all this and he absolutely should be.
