  1. if you don't get what they are protesting about, shame on you. It's not the flag and its not the song = like Rosa Parks wasn't protesting the bus. (some might have to look this up) Wow I shouldn't be but I'm actually surprised some (too many) don't get it

Rosa Parks was protesting because the busses were practicing segregation which she wanted to end.

The players are protesting the flag at a football game because they want to protest police brutality? racism in general? (I put question marks as many people have said different things as to why they kneel) Are they trying to say that American ideals (which is what the flag represents) involves these things? I don't think so, and I think that is why people feel the protest is misguided and dividing people

  2. there were lots of broncos fans there, the ones that sat in front of me said they were from the part of Canada near Maine. Then there was a dad whos kid was a bronco fan next to me, kid was wearing a bronco jersey, dad was not. But I usually have away fans all around me as I sit in section 107.

So basically it seemed to be a combo of things.

  3. I think with this offense it has to do with understanding and knowledge of the full play book, not just him but everyone so when a play is changed everyone knows what the new play is. As Tyrod says, he is getting more freedom with it, I think that is a reflection of it. I am not going to leap to conclusions about how the brand new offense is going to be run in regards to audibles off of the first two games.

That being said, I hope they let him call audibles sooner rather than later

As one of the posters who recognized the similarities to Jauron early on when most other posters were gushing over McDermott, I thank you for admitting that.

    Keep telling yourself that.

That's only because McDermott knows you need LBs that are at least the same size as the RBs and WRs they're supposed to tackle. Jauron liked smurfs on the defense and behemoths on the OL. His philosophy -- playing not to lose -- is the same as Jauron's but the details are somewhat different.

As someone mentioned, Jauron in his first season, wasn't as bad as he became.

Whatever "offensive system" the Bills purport to have, it doesn't appear to be NFL caliber because it sucks against NFL caliber talent. What kind of "offensive system" doesn't have a downfield component to it BTW?

McDermott has a QB. His QB doesn't have protection because the OC changed the blocking scheme to one that doesn't appear to fit the OLers he has very well, and he doesn't have targets because the Bills FO sent all his WRs packing in the off season. When a team can't/won't throw downfield, they soon can't run the ball either because their opponents put 8 in the box, pretty effectively stopping even the best RBs. Those 8 defenders up close to the LOS then also disrupt the short/medium passing games as well. That's what we saw yesterday.

Teams need to do both, and when they can't, they'll get their butts handed to them most times. It's not rocket science, but it's apparently news to McDermott ... and to Jauron before him.

I bet you won't you think comparisons to Jauron are quite so ridiculous after watching the Bills offensive offense for a few more games.

So he either is or isn't like Jauron

Jauron also had a crap offense before coming to Buffalo with Chicago so with him it was a lot more worrisome, to assume McD will have the same on your part appears to be wishful thinking either that or confirmation bias. After week 1 we were #2 or something like that in yards, we go up against a top tier D on the road and that drops and everything is doom and gloom

If you want to believe what you do, go ahead, but don't pretend like it is founded on anything other than speculation at this point

  5. When you're the first team since 1939 to finish your first 2 games without a TD, there's plenty of blame to go around, but the OC is right at the top.

Hasn't happened in almost 80 years...that's all-time bad, especially with today's passing friendly league.

First team whose first two home games did not have a TD, and I did think the play calling was really bad

  6. Moving companies won't touch it for the risk of breaking the slate (an 8' table generally comes in 3 pieces). We downsized a bit as both kids are gone now, so we really would struggle to fit a pool table in now. They take up HUGE space to have adequate room for comfortable play.

When we moved to our new house, we had a guy come break it down, store it for like 3 months and reassemble it at the new house, cost total like 450 I think

  7. I almost sold poyer for that reason but want to wait until this weekend

it's stock. If you would invest your portfolio $$ to him do so - say why if you'd like.

Similar to Tesla mentioned, they're not doing so great with this overextension and a market is there to buy them. Doesn't mean they're bad but you're selling them because maybe you don't believe in them or just want to maximize your profit before it tanks

I'm selling him because his stock won't get any higher

Ah ok that makes more sense then, yes Tolberts stock is high and may have peaked or is certainly close to peak. So now knowing that I can do mine:

Buy - Hyde, the others I believe will come back down to earth next week (Poyer, Humber), and imo this guys value to our defense will be shown over the coming weeks and will continue to steadily climb.

Sell - Humber, I just don't see him keeping up his level of play like this last week, plus we even signed a LB this week, which tells me the coaches see something that tells them that as well

Hold - Hughes, that quick passing game didn't allow for stacks but he would collapse the pocket and he can still speed rush. Plus he is donating money for his sacks this year to the Harvey victims so I suspect him to put in full effort to help his city/hometown

  8.

Sorry, Bray, I think you're misunderstanding "Sell" (or maybe I am!). what people mean is they don't want or are getting rid of the concept that Tolbert isn't any good. They don't want that in their portfolio.

Get rid of that investment that says "Tolbert can't do things".

I am taking it as Sell as in get rid of this guy, so if that is not what was meant some clarification would be nice

Based on other posts it seems I may not be the only one

  9.

Ok.. yes. Upon further review it looks like TT was staring at Zay Jones as his first read and comes back to Clay second read.

So it is not so clear cut that this was an unforced error.

My criticism is that he still could have seen that Jones was not good option earlier and moved on to second read a little faster. That is nitpicking I suppose on my part though.

No worries, im not defending or excusing just posting what I see. Also as others have said, thanks for doing this
