Because other than a beautiful seam ball, he isn't really good at it.  He doesn't process the field well.

Well that’s reassuring. I’ve only seen 2 Ravens game this year and was expecting to see major passing improvement. He’s still very hesitant to throw the ball.

I agree about the seam routes.

Is Marrone still coaching? I still can't believe he got the Jags to the conference championship game with Blake Bortles. Even haters have to admit, that's something.

Yeah, at the end of the day, our team played hard for him and he got pretty good results with what we had. I don’t have to like the guy.

Radio in Buffalo went on and on for weeks about not going for it on a 4th down and did everything they could to run him out of town.

No one ever thought the Chargers were winning anything ever? They had the 3rd best preseason odds to win the SB in 2007 and 2008… the Bills are approaching that territory of “oh the Bills are in it again, well we all know how that ends” much like those Chargers teams.

They basically mirror their PPG, PPGA, regular season record and similar playoff record…

Right but you chose 3 or 4 years out of 20 years they choked. When someone says Chargers, I think Stan Humphries, Flutie, etc. I think back to 1994-95. So that’s why I’m hesitant to call them the Chargers at this moment. Lol

Nick Wright did bring up a point that’s been raised several times on this board…. Are we the Marty/Norv Chargers if we lose this game on Sunday?… the similarities are strong.

I would say so but I think the Colts may be a better comparison. I don’t think we’re quite in Norv territory yet. You could set your watch to those meltdowns.

    We would become….

The Bills are in it again? Oh jeez.

Was Nick Wright even alive yet for Marty? I doubt he was old enough to truly understand how  the nation felt about those teams at the time.

One thing I will say. No one on the street thought those Chargers teams were winning anything ever so although the records are similar, the situation is quite different. There aren’t mobs of people out there guaranteeing a Bills loss. Calling us the Chargers right now is a total slap to the face.

Idk why there’s so many negative reactions to this. The 13 second defensive melt down was on McDermott and he needs to prove he can beat KC in the playoffs or he deserves all the criticism coming his way. If Josh & company get a lead in under 2 minutes then the defense needs to make a stop point blank period.

It’s just typical Bills hive mind behavior. I’m used to it.

Can you please give us some facts that would in any way support your extremely specific contentions?  How is it 95% likely, and what facts do you have that it is "likely already in the works"?

Obviously you have information to back this up and are not just spewing nonsense that popped into your head one day.

Please share the info and facts that you have, as I am eager to find out what specific information you have for this vital change you indicate is almost a sure thing.

The Bills organization is basically a Christian halfway house for troubled teens (coaches.) Leslie Frazier is a good example. He was basically out of the league before being taken in by McD and Beane.

You take Rivera’s history with McD and Beane in Carolina, their friendship and connections since, Buffalo’s history of taking people in to get a fresh start, and you’ve got yourself a situation that’s about as slam dunk as you’d ever see. There’s a ton of history there and many other sources going into detail about it over the years. Lots of interesting reading there. You should take a gander.

    Guys, he is just kidding!

No one can be that ignorant of the facts, or that stupid, to think that McDermott is on the hot seat!

He isn’t on the hot seat. The game hasn’t been played yet.

Some would probably tell you his seat has been hot after the Philly game.

Others would tell you it’s SB or be gone.

My position is that he must appear in the championship game to be safe. He doesn’t have to win that game IMO.

Its not likely that these folks opinions changed because they feel bad for him because of Dunne’s article.

  8. The KC defense will take it up a notch for the 2nd time in franchise history. That’s extremely rare since I’ve been alive. Even the Derrick Thomas defense never actually showed up in the playoffs.

Kelce will be open regularly but can he catch? Can anyone catch?

Rice was just a flash in the pan. They will need points coming from someone else.

Low scoring game. A snooze fest at times.

Way to hijack this thread @Governor

The OP intended to discuss hiring Rivera and you totally derailed the thread. Save your rants till after this upcoming game.

I was attacked by the paid McD apologists. I have to defend myself.

  10. What’s fascinating is that McD totally flakes out for 1 full quarter in each game. Last week was no exception.

The team is also a reflection of him and they also flake out for a full quarter, but sometimes they’re different quarters.

The problem is that you never know when it’s going to happen and you’re left hanging on for dear life if it happens in the 4th quarter.
