  1. Classic NE. They don’t get called for OL holds when the game is still in doubt. Anyway, Darnold says the Jets offense might just be unstoppable. Get ya popcorn ready
  2. That Dolphins team is nowhere near the 1976-1977 Buccaneers. Not even close to the worst in history. There have been many worse.
  3. That is going to be a tough game. Still don’t think Jackson is going to carve up the Bills defense through the air. Running ? He’s going to do some damage. They’ll have to be super disciplined to limit it.
  4. Hope you picked up on the sarcasm in my post. Some on the board were making statements about the Jets beating the Cowboys and that it somehow diminished the Bills. It’s the NFL and what a team did this week or against a different team means very little. It is good to be 5-1 though. Long way to go, but it’s a good start.
  5. So the Cowboys just trounced the Eagles. How much better than the Bills does that make the Jets?
  6. I would have , they didn’t show enough imo. That’s two teams, not most. I wouldn’t have even taken Winston as he is an idiot, but that’s another story altogether lol.
  7. I’ll agree that the good teams have good QBs. This is not groundbreaking though. Are most teams stupid and bad and have no idea what they are doing ? Or is there a heck of a lot of luck involved in finding a QB ? If most are just bad and stupid, ( unlike NE who not only drafted Brady, but cleverly waited until the 6th round to do so ) their owners should mine the fertile territory of the TBD boards for up and coming GM talent.
  8. It feels like that on this board at times, but I don’t recall a post stating that specifically. There probably are some. Others just say it will never work so it may as well say that. I’m just guessing what the team will actually do. Not making a declaration what they should do.
  9. Heck, then draft one every year. I don’t care if they do, but most teams probably don’t and my guess is just a guess what they will do. I don’t see it happening unless things go south.
  10. So he’s gone by the fifth year option or a big extension. Okay, but I dont think the Bills will draft a QB significantly high next year at this point. Obviously subject to change. (Fwiw Id have moved on from EJ after year 2. He had nothing. ) I’d be surprised if there was a major completion as well, but what do I know. Just a guess.
  11. I’d have moved on sooner than each of their teams did, except Bridgewater. He’s pretty good and it was an injury situation. Not arguing anything except that if the Bills are winning, they’re unlikely to get rid of Allen after year 2. Does that make sense? I think that ship sailed on Mariota awhile ago or it should have anyway.
  12. All time best in his first 25 games. Pretty good bet there.
  13. Just those 3? Obviously Luck should have. Goff ? Lots of issues in his game right now. Wentz ? Might have been better off with Foles. Anyway, I don’t know how many first round guys did and did not get that deal at that point, haven’t looked it up. Pretty sure quite a few have not. If the Bills end up in the Conference championship or even in the Super Bowl you do it then. If not, you wait apparently. That’s what it seems like.
  14. Sure, but can you blame them ? He couldn’t throw like an NFL QB. I think what you described is the plan, but things would have to be pretty bad for them to pull the plug. It could get there, but it’s not trending in that direction. At some point though, cap room will get used up etc etc.
  15. That’s a realistic possibility. Although, a look around the league would probably say it’s not likely. How many ( first round) guys get an extension before playing on their 5th year option ?
  16. Interesting. I’m going to bet that the Bills don’t make a long term decision on Allen by then. Probably 5th year option at minimum unless things really go south.
  17. Well yeah, never is a long time. Allen will not be given until never to do this ( barring an unbelievable winning %). He will be gone long before that, but it’s still too soon and no long term decision is imminent by the Bills FO.
  18. Yeah, I’d love for Josh Allen to pass for 300+ yards and move the offense at will with his arm. If it hasn’t happened by the time they have to pick up his fifth year option it will be concerning. Until then, I’ll be satisfied if he just QBs them to wins.
  19. Title is more clear, but I don’t think many on the board were putting them in the all time great category. Not a ton to complain about defensively thus far this season.
  20. Yeah, there’s some variation. The roots for their Ds are in the Belichick system though. I agree it’s troubling , and teams are going to continue to send blitzes until they handle it. Not sure if theyre going to have players standing up around the line, but they won’t be afraid to blitz. It’s a major problem on offense right now.
  21. I’d do that too if the Bills had Dallas Oline , Prescott , Elliott etc. I can see not being too risky with Josh Allen in there at this point.
  22. I thought they were better with Foles, but many said otherwise. I still think they were.
  23. Yep. A quirk if the schedule that the Bills faced NE, then TEN and MIA that obviously have connections to NE and roots in that system. They’ve struggles with it, but not sure say Schwartz is gonna deviate from his wide 9 and put that in. Lots of coaches are married to their systems , including the Bills coaches.
  24. Bills were facing the third straight team on their schedule that runs a version of the Pats* defense. The players milling around the line was no surprise. I’m not sure how many teams that don’t run that D will deviate from their system to try it.
  25. Blitz pickup issues but the Bills D rarely blitzes so don’t think we’ll see much of that.
