  1. Are they actually playing more conservatively early in games, though ? Without checking stats, appears they are passing the ball a lot early, so I’m not sure if that fits the conservative mold. They’ve also moved the ball well, then drives have stalled with turnovers, penalties, drops etc etc. While the difference in scoring in the various quarters is interesting, it may not point out any obvious problems/ solutions.
  2. I’d prefer if Cox was going to miss the Bills game, but this may help.
  3. Please let Schefter be correct, and Tom Brady leaves the Pats*....and becomes a hermit, running TB 12 enterprises from his new 1000 acre compound in Equatorial Guinea.
  4. This is a good point, and it seems lost on many. While the comebacks can be nerve wracking, they can also be damn entertaining. At some point, anticipating calamity became ingrained in the minds of Bills fans rather than just pulling for their team on the next play. Sure, blowing every team out while cruising to easy wins doesn’t really happen at a high statistical rate in the NFL. This season is no different, as I believe the % of games decided by a TD or less was 55% heading into last week. I’d much rather watch my team win in fourth quarter rallies than find new and inventive ways to lose them.
  5. The narrative is that the Bills were “ asleep at the wheel “ when the Jets made a trade to move up in the draft to get a QB. Therefore whoever the Jets drafted in that spot must be forever agonized over by Bills fans thinking “ we coulda had ______” . ( this is often referred to as BBFS)
  6. Frazier gives too much respect to veteran QBs and those who have had some success. Id bet he maintains this approach this week vs Wentz, to the detriment of the Bills defense. Wentz should be pressured relentlessly with creative rushes , not necessarily blitzes. A passive approach will backfire a la Fitz.
  7. To a degree , I’ll concur. The AFC is weak this year and each season is really it’s own thing. Next year’s schedule looks much more difficult, for example. They need to improve their chances for success this season while not mortgaging the future or depleting upcoming drafts too much. It’s a balance, but it can and should be done. If the Bills don’t make a move by the deadline, they’re not being serious about this year’s playoffs or even possibly winning the division.
  8. I agree. It looks to me like Allen is gun shy about his INTs from earlier this season. An overthrow is unlikely to be intercepted vs that coverage so he’s being extra cautious. He needs to get those out of his thought process and just drop it in there. Most of his deep attempts this year were overthrown by a significant distance.
  9. They’re not. End thread.....
  10. Reduce emissions to combat intergalactic warming.
  11. Power rankings are just a subjective snapshot of the league week to week. The Bills don’t score enough points or make enough highlight reels to move up. They also play an easy schedule this season, so won’t have many eye opening wins with wow factor. They’d be higher if they had beaten the Pats* regardless of the score, and that might be their only way to move into the top 5 or so all season.
  12. Thank you ! As if NFLN (esp gmfb) espn aren’t bad enough with their continuous Pats* drool fest. Do they think they’re only on air in the Boston area , or do they actually not realize most people despise that team?
  13. Don’t most OCs script the first X number of plays , ie in the beginning of the game ?
  14. I’m sure it’ll come out that Darnold had some strain of the clap or got bitten by a tse tse fly or whatever...
  15. Again, it’s a bit of backlash to the Allen criticism. A right back at you type thing. Fans understand QBs development, and the overreaction to Allen’s struggles by some on the board is the root cause.
  16. Yep. It’s amazing what the silver eagle - winged helmet can do for officials and their ability to see penalties being committed.
  17. Bills fans are aware what happened that game. However, the board was full of proclamations of Darnolds superiority and claims that he would beat the Pats and look good doing it. What you’re seeing is the response to that. Football fans understand what young QBs typically do vs BB defense. Very few inexperienced QBs are immune.
  18. At least there was a WR nearby. Not exactly the same.
  19. Sensational. The db caught a ball thrown right to him with no WR in sight. These announcers are a joke.
  20. The Patriot knob slobbering by this announcing crew is scaling new heights. Just awful. The Pats* are the absolute worst thing to happen to the NFL in its existence and maybe in pro sports period.
  21. Oh well, they still could dislocate Brady’s kneecaps.
  22. Yep, and the Jets TE is Arnold Palmers stepson or something
