Bills GM Brandon Beane 'annoyed' by tanking talk
Bill_with_it replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rookie year targeted 8 times per game.Next year after that targeted 7.75 per game. Last year broke and all targeted 6.5 per game. So not one season was he close to being targeted 5 or less times on average per season, Dont be dishonest. http://www.fftoday.com/stats/players/14350/Sammy_Watkins -
A) You don't know if Sammy was fully healthy.B) When Sammy was out versus when Sammy was in last year played no significant change in the win las column marginal at best either way. C) Saying you are mad because you wont get to see the occasional exciting Watkins play is one thing but saying that Watkins will be the reason we wint be able to win a championship is total garbage. D) If the reason you spen money is to watch Sammy play and you arent excited about the rest of the team then it might be time for you to become a Rams fan.

You cant hang in to an asset just because the amount of capital you spent to get the asset. Thats how you lose big.Its likely regardless of what Sammy did or didnt do the GM had no intentions of paying him to what sammy tweeted as changing the salary market for wr. So instead of letting the season play out, or using the tag next year, they thought it better to grab someone in a trade along with a draft pick. Which will assist in building the future of this ball club, will not destroy our cap, and acquire the players this fo want on the team.
-
Getting paid isnt the same as changing the market for wr. The intent by saying changing the market literally means getting more money for wrs than before. Do you think Sammy is worthy if the money JJ or AB. If so ill stop conversing with you. Because he isnt and hasnt shown anything to suggest he is worth more money then them long term.

Its simple, moving through his progressions wuicker, trust what he sees, and fire the pigskin.

A third round comp pick is after every team has selected in the third round. Its essentially a 4th round draft pick. That second round draft pick has the potential to be a top fifteen in the second round. The rams have our receiving corps from last year, donald held out training camp, their star de tore an acl and isnout, and they have a new coachimg staff.

Dont ruin their narrative. Let alone their ridiculous comparison of one of the best wrs to ever touch a football and the oft injured Sammy Watkins. -
A key cog in that defense is out gor the season in Easley. Donsld hadnt reported to training camp, and they are dealing with a new coach.

You responded to post about not retaining top talent. Randy is clearly in a class of his own, wasnt injured, and was truly elite. Its silly to even suggest that the Bills wouldnt keep such a proven player, Sammy wasnt proven. There is a difference. You cant say well they would have done the same with Moss or even comparatively use his name like that. They are totaly different worlds with regard to talent and availability. -

Randy played in all his games, ammassed 4163 yds his first three seasons, and 43 tds. Don't be ridiculous. Sammy watkins couldnt hold Moss jockstrap. To insinuate is comical. Thats whats wrong, numerous posters believe Watkins is a superstar of Moss' proportions and he isnt. -
Got it the cool kids are out. Still doesnt make peters elite when he was with the Bills. https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/making-the-grade-offensive-tackles-2008-2010 Not even in the top 5 during the period https://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/04/08/best-left-tackles-in-the-n-f-l-the-top-10-list/ Not even top ten https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/2010-offensive-line-rankings-part-1 Best Player: He should be protecting someones blindside, but Jason Peters did a fine job on the left side of the line. Doesnt allow much pressure and is an above average blocker who takes more criticism than he is due. Yikes that sure diesnt sound like elite even in 2010 a year after the trade http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol2010 Here he ranks amongst the 13 best in regard to runs toward his side. His team ranked 28 in pass pro. Yikes

List of second team all pros you type on this board and tell me they are elite:Marcus Cannon Lorenzo Alexander Whitney Mercilus Zach Brown Bernard Mcckinney Making second team all pro isnt elite. Keep using anecdotal evidence. Of ccourse Tom Brady is elite that diesnt make Peters elite the year he was 2nd Team all pro. Look at my list someone has tk be placed there. Cmon man you cant really say Peters was elite in Buffalo, thats lauaghable. A very good player but not elite.

Dont be ridiculous. Sammy's tweet is a clear indication that he and the other wrs from that draft class intend on changing the game with regard to wr pay ina manner that only announcing it in social media would do it justice. Clearly you cant be serious with the cap stuff? We have 8 million right now we couldnt have afforded to redo Watkins contrac this year without kicking a heft portion of it down the road like way down the road. Sammy is clearly going to look for a salary that will be astounding from his tweet. To take it any ither way then that is being disgenious and intellectually deceitful.

Wasnt a Whaley gem was a Nix gem. Whaley wasnt the GM.

It would make for a much more pleasant board experience -
no clearly i knew he was second team thats not elite. I posted in my previous post he wasnt first team until 2011. You can scream it from atop the largest mountain and you would still be wrong.Zach Brown is elite guys he was a second team all pro that made the pro bowl for the Bills just like Jason Peters. Lol
-
Jason petrrs and Marshawn Lynch were not elite when traded from the Bills. I.e. They werent playing at an elite level prior to being traded. Peters wasnt a first team all pro until 2011. When he was traded he was a second team all pro with 2 pro bowl nods. Thats not elite. Lynch's best year here he had 1115 yards thats nowhere near elite. Look both of these players blossomed elsewhere later on but they surely werent elite prior to being traded. Just like Sammy wasnt elite prior to being traded. peters wasnt a first team all pro until 2011 yikes...https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PeteJa21.htm
