Go on record regarding the trades
Bill_with_it replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Complete bs, we couldnt afford TD mike lol. The cap is real, the constraintsnit places on teams is real, its there to create parity and do the exact opposite you are claiming it affords teams to do. Pay market value to all your stars. You simply cant do that. The teams that win the superbowls understand that. -
Go on record regarding the trades
Bill_with_it replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly its not sustainable just as I stated quite a bit. Either the player gets cut, traded, accepts a lesser contract, or released. Going out of your way to pay something to a player that will cause your team to be less of a winner because you cant afford other players isnt a very smart thing to do. For example see the saints. -
Beane & McD Press Conferences
Bill_with_it replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The 8 games Watkins missed last year Mccoy had 600+ yds and 7 touchdowns and he didn't even play one of those games. -
There is no erratic. You have trouble mixing what you think Sammy thought with his clear unparaed words. Along with quite a few staunch Sammy supporters. He stated it I didnt. It was very clear what he stated. It isnt anything close remotely to what you and others are mischaracterizing it as. You nor those others are mind readers. Words have meanings. Especially when using absolutes such as "I dont care if hes open if im one on one JUST TARGET ME. " That isnt hey 3 out of 5 times when im one on one target me so i can get obj targets. Thats not what he stated. He clearly stated theow me the ball regardless of other offensive skill players being open. Is this a shortsighted sammy like immature post??? Troll job?? Like OMG hahahaPlease just calm down and show me where I said I was satisified with his targets. Ill wait. Himt I never did. What I did say is that he shouldnt be the first and only read regardless of others being wide open. That has been my statement for the entirety of the discussion. You clearly have a hard time understanding that. I have stated that numerous times.
-
Sammy Watkins for the millionth time didnt use thise simple words had he, I wouldn't have stated how extremely selfish, short sighted, and immature what he stated was. Hope that clears it up for you. If Sammy had stated I want more targets vice, i dont care if hes opened and im covered throw it to me JUST TARGET ME. Thats what he stated.
-
Ok ill break each sentence that Sammy stated down:I can look at film, and his eyes go straight that way and I'm not getting looked at, at all. Those words are indicatjve that he is perturbed that he wasnt tge read. I.e the call that tge coach called. When I have one-on-one coverage, go to me. I don't care what's going on over there. Once again he stating that he doesnt care what was called go to him even if hes covered. I don't care if he's open. When I get one-on-one, just target me." Now if you cant or willfully decide to bypass those other statements this is pretty clear. There is no grey area. He doesnt care if other players are open just target him. Im done with your trolling.
-
A) he most certainly wasnt open all the time. B) Antonio brown/obj/evans/bryant arent getting every ball thrown their way regardless of their teamates being open, c) Their teams arent bypassing play calls to cater to those wrs to het the ball to them every play. You done with the strawmans? Ill knocking them down.
-
Man you are terrible. Stop pitting words in my mouth and read. I stated forgoing a open offensive player to throw the ball to a covered Watkins is crazy. Similarly bypassing the oc/hc/read/progressions to cater to a wr whole simultaneously not running your planned offense is crazy. Read what I write and not what fits your narrative.
-
I never said any of that. Stop putting words in my mouth. I stated that a) its ridiculous to forego a easy completion to another wr thats open if Watkins is covered, b) giving the ball every play to Watkins is ridiculous, d) having the qb to disregard the progressions and reads /hc and oc play calls in order to accommodate a wrs request is stupid, and whining about it in the media is childish. Literally i had a problem with the paragraph i posted that sammy stated. Not the strawman you propped up there.P.s. What of Sammys accomplishments make him great in the NFL?

Welcome Aboard Jordan Matthews!
Bill_with_it replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jordan, welcome to the Bills. Hope you have a heck of a season and play all 16 games. It would be refreshing to have a wr do that consistently for my team. -
These are Watkins words:"That's what I get mad at: when I don't get looked at. I can look at film, and his eyes go straight that way and I'm not getting looked at, at all. That's when I get frustrated. When I have one-on-one coverage, go to me. I don't care what's going on over there. I don't care if he's open. When I get one-on-one, just target me." Please read the bold numerous times. Because that's exactly what i said he said.

With regard to what? Based on an un performed potential??? -
Cool story thats not what we were talking about. We were talking about a whiner in an interview stating he wants the ball everytime regardless of another player being open. Thats not 9-12 times a game thats every pass. Im not revising any history. I didnt say he didnt put up numbers quite the contrary. Yet even putting up great numbers for the last 9 games of the year didnt cause the Bills as a team to perform even marfinally better with regard to the w/l column.
-
Yeah I mean lets not give the ball to an open Mccoy or Clay because Sammy with an injury whos covered demands the ball.He qb dont listen to the offensive coordinator and go through your reads matter of factly you just turn and immediately fire it to Sammy. Because Sammy wants the ball regardless of whether or not Shady or Clay or anyone else for that matter is open. Thats assuming Sammy took the field. Then assuming he felt like playing.

Go on record regarding the trades
Bill_with_it replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats not true. You cant always. When those back loaded contracts catch up that team will be a skeleton. Its not sustainable for more than a couple years. History has proven that. You wither lose the player, he takes a paycut, or your team suffers in other areas. -

Go on record regarding the trades
Bill_with_it replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah you are we got a player and likely a top 15 pick. The Saints got the last pick of the first round and another 7the pick of the fourth round. Look at the chart. Relatively speaking about the cost. I never meant that he was going to get 6 yr 140 mil contract. But, if you think hes worth the 13.2 mil it would have cost to keep him last year based on his previous perfromance wll thats sad. -

Nope:The first-round pick is No. 32 overall, the last selection of the round. The Patriots also will trade a third-round pick (No. 103) to New Orleans and receive the Saints' fourth-round pick (No. 118), sources tell Russini. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/18878699/new-england-patriots-trade-new-orleans-saints-brandin-cooks The team announced that Sammy Watkins has been shipped to the Los Angeles Rams -- along with a 2018 sixth-round pick -- in exchange for cornerback E.J. Gaines and a 2018 second-rounder. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000828580/article/bills-trade-sammy-watkins-to-rams-acquire-matthews%3fnetworkId=4595&site=.news&zone=story&zoneUrl=url%253Dstory&zoneKeys=s1%253Dstory&env=&pageKeyValues=prtnr%253Daround-the-league%253Bteam%253Dphi%253Bteam%253Dbuf%253Bteam%253Dla%253Bconf%253Dnfc%253Bconf%253Dafc%253Bdvsn%253Dnce%253Bdvsn%253Dace%253Bdvsn%253Dncw%253Bplyr%253Dsamuel_watkins%253Bplyr%253Djordan_matthews%253Bplyr%253Dronald_darby&p.ct=Around+the+NFL&p.adsm=false&p.tcm=%2523fff&p.bgc1m=%25230964bf&p.bgc2m=%2523053a74&sr=amp
