Agreed...I don't think Belichick thinks too much about the Bills unless we play them that week.....the only team I could see some personal motive involvements for BB is the Jets....that's about it...Plus,as someone mentioned, why would he want to shove it in the Bills face ?...He probably loves us with all the Ws we've been giving him....if anything, he might feel bad for us...which is sad....

Underrated as far as how good of a player they are ? I'm not a musician myself, but I always thought that if you ask a talented player who their favorite is, that should be taken in consideration....Neil Peart and Geddy Lee are in the R&R hall of fame, but I still think they're underrated.......as far as drummer and bassist, they are hard to match.... Adrian Smith from Maiden is also underrated IMO.....

There was so much more to the Rex fiasco....Discipline, time management, awful use of challenges etc.....bringing his brother....Rex was a clown and a blowhard who's football schemes were inadequate to today's game....he refused to adapt and got the boot...he never should have been hired in the 1st place and I'm glad the Pegs realized their error quickly..... He will do well in TV where accountability is not necessarily needed and hot takes are welcomed...

We do tend to overuse the " Elite " term......If we are being totally honest, besides Dareus , Shady and Watkins when healthy, I'm not sure we have truly elite talent on this roster as we speak.....I keep seeing post mentioning Ragland...the guy had a major surgery and has never played a down in the NFL.....let's see how he does vs NFL competition before putting him down as a solid contributor....

NE, Pitt, Oakland, and KC are better than us...we are with the Broncos, Bengals, Ravens and Dolphins group.....I see Tennessee and Jax improving this year but they will still be below us.....we'll be fighting for a Wild Card as always....I love our new coach and have high hopes...but I think it will take him and his staff some time to make this " their " team...8-8 this year and finally playoffs the following season.... I can see the light at the end of the damn tunnel !

Patriots build Superbowl team, Bills stay the same!
Iron Maiden replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After losing to them like we have ( 26 out of 29...or 89.6% ) I wouldn't mind taking a break from playing them twice a year...at least until Brady leaves.... -

Not to pile on...but I think Tennessee is going to be much better this year...not saying we'll lose to them, but it's going to be a tougher game than most think.... -
On his 1st day, Rex will proclaim that he's not at ESPN to kiss Boomer, Dan Patrick , Keith Oberman or Rich Eisen's rings...... After doing the Superbowl show with ESPN, one could say he already had his foot in the door.....

Besides Gilmore, I don't see any big names so far on their pick ups......Cooks is OK, but he's no Randy Moss.....Last year, Marty Bennett was the biggest name the picked up.....As I mentioned earlier, it's what they do year after year....you'll notice also that they usually pickup guys at the end of their rookie contract.....so they're cheap for the 1st year and if they want too much $ the following season, BB let's them leave and NE gets a comp pick for it..... More teams ( including the Bills ) need to use that to their advantage..... -

I don't know why people are saying that these moves are " un-patriots like ".....Every single off season, Belichick picks up a few FAs....the only difference this year is the fact that they had way more $ to spend.... Go look at the last 5-6 years and you'll see that it's just part of what they do every year.... -

We'll never have the upper hand in the " Us vs Brady " game......what is he now?...26-3 against us ?....if we sweep them for the next 11 years, he still would be over 0.500 vs the Bills....the guy needs to retire...that's our only hope.... -
Tom Brady-The Greatest of His Era, Not All-Time
Iron Maiden replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's always exceptions of course, but as a general statement, players today are much better then 15-20-25 years ago..... -

Todays athletes are far superior IMO....the training is better, they have nutritionist, psychologist etc.....that's why world records fall every year....take an athlete for the 70s vs today, it's night and day....hell, the guys from that era marveled at today's NFL players.... -

Well, today, they have to deal with Luke Kuechly, Jamie Collins, Navarro Bowman, Bobby Wagner, Sean Lee, Derrick Johnson, Donta Hightower etc...I would venture to say these guys are faster, stronger and quicker...... -

You do realize that once a play is called, Brady has to come up to the line, analyze the defense and make the correct call.....each play sent in has probably 4-5 different options...it's one of Brady's strength to read the D and take advantage of what they give you....teams have tried to disguise it for 17 years and he comes up on top 90% of the time..... -
Pats making a final push? Brady exit plan?

Over/Under for wins this season.
Iron Maiden replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm going slightly over...I see our usual 8-8 this year...the coaching improves, but the schedule gets tougher.....next year is when we see finally a 10 win season IMO.....I have to give McD a year to put the pieces in line.... -

Most of his comebacks were in the regular season...he had that 1 vs NE in the playoffs.....can't remember any other ...I'm sure there's some....I'd be curious to see the overall numbers for comebacks between those 2..... Was Peyton a great QB?, yes, of course.....is he above Brady ?, not in my opinion....that debate for me was settled in 2014.. -

How ?...Peyton was good in the dome, and not as good outside, in cold weather ..Brady was good in both.....I agree with the above of course, but it actually proves that Brady didn't need a dome.. -

True...but they were still a very good D.....Could you have pictured Peyton making that come back ?.....or the one vs the Falcons this year ? -

How do you explain Manning's numbers when he played in the snow/wind ?.....they are noticeably lower...Brady's are not.... He had talent, but not close to Manning's...
