NFL may push touchbacks up to the 35 yard line
Comebackkid replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills already ahead of the curve -
i think D's have come a long way lately to shutting down good wr's. but...when everythying is on the line and its 4 and 7, are you running cook or are you hoping to have a wr or even t/e (see kelse) that u can count on to get open.

NFL Analyst Says 31 of Top 100 are Defensive Lineman
Comebackkid replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
is it me or does it seem like we always go against the strength of the draft. Plus it seems like there is a big run on what ever we are trying to draft right before our turn comes up. -
Slick Rick about to be Bills most valuable non player person.

Is McD actually compensating for Beane?
Comebackkid replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
i think on Defense when u get into the playoffs and teams step it up a notch and you have higher level players the Bills dont have the horses to keep up. During the season we can scheme avg players on the D to at least hold the fort while the offense takes over. get into the post season against better Ds, where it puts the pressure on our D and the scheme just cant bridge the talent gap. The D is only good becuase the sum of the parts is greater than each individual player. In the playoffs individual players need to step up and they cant do that. Plus we always seem to have injuries and those injuries hit our best players which in turn effect the entire D. -
Opinion: Bills SHOULD hire Doug Pederson as assistant HC
Comebackkid replied to MrEpsYtown's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think part of this is just bargain basement shopping and not seeing the difference between coleman a player like BJT. In the end you get two players that dont make a difference vs one that does. they have done that a lot. -
good comments from Bills players in this new Athletic piece
Comebackkid replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
thats one thing thats starting to become an issue i think...is that Josh naturally rolls to his right at the first sign of trouble...KC brought trouble and new exactly where Josh would end up. Other teams have done that as well. -
Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
Comebackkid replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is hard, but that's also why I said they need to re-evaluate their scouts. I agree they need to be better and it's set the team back. -
Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
Comebackkid replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
it is hard to do... especially when your picking these guys up at the lower end of the Draft. some of them are 6-7th round picks. or on the back end of their carrrers. I would take a long hard look at some of the draft gurus that are on the Bills staff though and see if there isnt maybe an upgrade out there some where. -
Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
Comebackkid replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
i think that in the offseason babbich and mcdermott have a long sit down and review what went wrong and right for the D. I think that next year will be telling beacause after one year Babbich now has a year of playcalling to analyze..I think over all that is hard to do within a season. I really expect Babbich to be better next year...i have more faith in him than Brady to be honest. -
Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
Comebackkid replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
i think last season was a bandaid year for the D...atleast the secondary because they didnt have any money to spend. from what ive heard the want football players...not nec elite players..or elite physical traits. what they need it talent that can stay healthy. -
Bills Have Low Percentage of First Read Pass Completion- Why?
Comebackkid replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
i could swear that during the Baltimore game they said his passes were coming out quicker than they had all season.... i get the idea brady just goes along with whatever/how ever the players want to do things. Its kind of annoying because prob 75% of all qbs are good at getting the ball out pretty quick...its a pretty basic trait. a lot of times im yelling ..throw the damn ball... i really wish they would work on that aspect of his game...i think he can do it..he does do it at times. so many times the window closes because he holds the ball or looks around too long. -

agree...for the most part id say the scheme is a bandaid for players that lack skill/athletisicm -
Some thoughts on why we can't get over the hump
Comebackkid replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
chiefs think outside the box...Bills are still trying to find the edge of the box -
Not using James Cook on final drive a head scratcher
Comebackkid replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
What i hate is u run him, and have some success so then you run him every down untill it dont work..because its become totally obvious thats what your doing...and then after it doesnt work because you have repeatedly done it every single time u abandon it. I just hope some how brady develops an imagination when it comes to playcalling over the offseason. -
Allen suffered a wrist injury against KC, won’t go to Pro Bowl
Comebackkid replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall

Lost in the sauce: Outstanding Performances vs KC
Comebackkid replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
they wanted to nickle and dime us to death 😀 i dont know about this year in general but I think thats typically how they play us -
The Chiefs are always one step ahead of the Bills...
Comebackkid replied to Awwufelloff's topic in The Stadium Wall
idk about better..i think its a wash..they each have their areas where one might be a bit better than the other. KC's coaching does a lot of heavy lifting for Mahomes but he's still pretty damn clutch. -
Some thoughts on why we can't get over the hump
Comebackkid replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
and that wasnt the first time we did that exact play in the endzone and amazingly...we had the same results. plus i hate the short yardage designed runs for josh atleast in the playoffs...they dont work....i think against balt we did it twice....both times failed. -
i think u try to bundle the crap out of all the low round draft picks along with trading who every u can maybe to go with them... do what ever you can to get some higher draft picks and go for as much quality as you can...ditch the potential philosophy aproach this year and get some proven talent on the field. they need to take a step back and analyze their previous drafts and figure out what is going wrong with how they are valuating players and their abilities. they need to pull of some rd one and two players that can come in and play day one and make a difference. to many sqaundered high round draft picks. plus evaluate why every single year our secondary is on life support

good comments from Bills players in this new Athletic piece
Comebackkid replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
i feel like the bills are hard headed. like torrence said....this is what worked all year so were going to keep doing it.... sure that makes sense but then it really doesnt. when we played the pats twice a year and they were good..they always changed up what they did the second time and we always went into it prepared for what they had done the time before. its nice to have great players but you also as coordinators need to coach up advanatges for your guys on the field and i feel thats something we dont do. we make it easy for a team as good well prepared as the chiefs because u dont show them anything they havent already seen from us. -
Lost in the sauce: Outstanding Performances vs KC
Comebackkid replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cook has really amazed me with his speed this year. that run around the left outside for the TD was shocking. watching it i was like..no way he gets around that edge and he did. He's turned things up 100% this year. He's really a Difference maker.
