  1. I think it’s important to note that these weren’t just 10 year old emails. They stretch from 2011 to 2018. Some of the emails in question were from 2016 and 2018.
  2. After a talk with the owner. I guess I just assumed he “resigned” (as in, the owner forced it). I can’t imagine Gruden willingly left $60 million on the table. I heard the owner was under immense pressure from the NFL to fire him. They wanted it done before Sunday’s game.
  3. I strongly disagree with the things Gruden said in those emails. I think it’s disgusting and I am not sticking up for him in any way. But I’m not sure I really agree with this, since it happened while he was working for another company (ESPN). Had it happened after he was hired by the raiders, I get it. I don’t really feel bad for him, and I don’t think this is “cancel culture” (I think most of “cancel culture” is just consequences for your actions anyway) since it was his employer that fired him without any real motivation from social media outcry (that I know of). I think it was more that the NFL has made such a strong stance against racism/homophobia/etc. and felt they had to act on this or their words would look hollow and I definitely don’t think they want any protests starting up again. But I guess I just wonder if there was another way this could have been handled. Like, send him for 100 hours of sensitivity training and fine him and/or take away a draft pick or something like that.
  4. Houston should have hired him instead of David Culley. But I’m sure glad they didn’t! (I’m also glad for Frazier. I think Culley’s being set up to fail) I can’t believe he hasn’t had more head coaching interviews. Iirc he’s had a top 10 defense every year in Buffalo but one (2020, under very unusual circumstances (esp. no fans in the stands)). Selfishly I hope we get to keep him but I know he really wants another shot at being a head coach and I think he deserves it + would do a very good job.
  5. Yeah I don’t think he was being punished last night. As you and others have said, I think it was just a game plan thing.
  6. He finally took his own advise! I have to imagine him insulting the entire Bills fan base didn’t go over too well with the coaches/front office/owners. I know if I insulted my work’s customers I’d probably be fired on the spot. Most people would. I am not implying that I want him to be cut, or that I think he should be cut. I like Beasley and think he’s an important part of this offense but he needs to stay off social media with his anti-vax misinformation. We all know he refused to get vaccinated. We all know why he feels that way. But he just can’t let it go. Remember his first press conference training camp when he said he’d make 1 final statement on the vaccines (then refused any questions on it) and that would be the last he said about it this season? Well, it’s about damn time.
  7. Big win tonight! That’s the type of win that can make a team believe they’re true contenders. Shoot, I know that’s how it made me feel! 😁 I give a ton of credit to the Bills front office + coaching staff. They identified what this team needed to truly challenge Kansas City, then went out and accomplished their goals, even with very limited cap space and the 30th pick in every round. Feels so good to have such a competent front office and coaching staff.
  8. He was brutal tonight. He couldn’t have been more obvious in who he was rooting for. Like When the Bills got called for that ridiculous hold in the 4th quarter and Al Michaels was shocked and said “wow, I guess they’re calling everything tonight” and Collinsworth was like “wellll.... he did grab his jersey...” then minutes later couldn’t believe KC got called for roughing the passer when the KC player clearly drove Allen into the ground with his shoulder (then Allen got hit in the head by another KC player!)... I was muting him at times tonight.
  9. I thought it was the end of the 4th quarter. That delay had me all messed up. im an idiot.
  10. Rousseau!!!!! F*** off officials! Cant take that one away 😂
  11. Come in Buffalo, let’s finish this thing!
  12. Yeah I just saw the replay and deleted my post 😂
  13. IMO it’s made a Huge difference being able to get pressure on him. The Bills aren’t getting sacks but they are affecting Mahomes. How many passes has he put into the dirt tonight that would’ve been completions in previous games? and that’s with Rousseau (and Hughes) being blatantly held the whole first half...
  14. Would have been nice to come away with points on that drive.
  15. Spectrum did the same here. To show us the *&$&*&$ cowboys pregame. So stupid. I was pissed. Thankfully I flipped it to NFL network just in time to see them showing the kick. Mcdermott? Who just signed a 6yr extension? How would that work? I’d gladly take their 1st round pick for tampering though 😂
  16. Crosby in full meltdown mode right now. He’s Clearly in his own head at this point.
  17. What a crazy ending to regulation in this packers/bengals game 🤣
  18. Yeah you should be able to get the broadcasts in 4k. You have everything you need, except one of these: (unless you already own a 4K fire stick or roku express, express + or streaming stick 4k) https://www.amazon.com/Fire-TV-Stick-4K-with-Alexa-Voice-Remote/dp/B079QHML21 Or one of these if you prefer roku devices: (I prefer the fire stick) https://www.roku.com/products/roku-express-4k-plus Then you plug it into the HDMI port on the back of your TV and then turn your TV on and hit the “input” button on your remote. Then select whatever input you plugged the streaming device into. It’ll walk you through a simple setup (basically just log into your Amazon account or roku account (or create one if you don’t have one yet)). Then use the search feature on the front page of the streaming devices Home Screen. You search for “fox sports app”. Click on it. It’ll download. Then just open it up and it’ll ask you to sign into your cable account and that’s it. Just let me know if you want/need help. Feel free to PM me too if you want. Also, If you tell me the model of your 4k TV I can tell you if you need to plug it into a specific HDMI port (1,2,3, or 4). Some 4k TVs only have a couple HDMI ports that are full 4k (usually #3 and 4 but not always).
  19. https://tvanswerman.com/2021/08/18/fox-to-offer-thursday-night-football-in-4k/ If you have a 4K TV and access to fox sports broadcasts through your tv provider, Fox Sports started broadcasting in 4k for Thursday night games on their Fox Sports app. Yesterday was the first 4k broadcast. They are also televising all of the MLB playoff games in 4K HDR https://www.sportsvideo.org/2021/10/07/mlb-postseason-2021-fox-sports-to-televise-all-playoff-games-in-4k-hdr-megalodon-to-make-playoff-debut/ To get the broadcasts in 4k you need a 4K Roku or 4k Fire Stick streaming device (both are currently available for $30-35) and also have access to fox sports broadcasts. Edit: android/Google TV was added to the supported devices list (which means Sony TVs and any other Tv running android should work) via cable/sattelite, fubo TV, Hulu, sling tv, YouTubeTV, etc: full list: https://www.foxsports.com/watch/instant-access and here’s the list of compatible devices: https://help.fox.com/s/article/Which-devices-are-4K-or-UHD-compatible I downloaded the fox sports app and tried watching it via android TV last night and 4k wasn’t available. But it still looked better than the cable broadcast or the Amazon prime broadcast of the game. It was at least in full 1080p HD and the sound quality was better than on cable and Amazon prime. I ended up ordering the new fire stick 4k max (that conveniently just came out yesterday) so I’m going to check out the 4k NFL broadcast this Thursday. Ive been wanting to watch NFL football in 4k ever since I got my first 4k TV. It’ll be nice to finally get that chance! I thought others here might also be interested.
  20. Yeah hopefully that’s the case. From what I’ve read they still don’t know the extent of the breach and people are speculating that since the data dump was labeled “part 1”, there’s likely a “part 2” to the data (that may be released or auctioned off on the dark web). I don’t have a twitch account but I still changed my Amazon password to be safe. I figured it was worth mentioning to the board. I probably should have worded my initial post better though. It just scared me when I read that stuff about the Amazon cloud, which is why I posted this thread. I had all my family change their Amazon passwords too 😂
  21. I can’t find it now but I read an article saying that the extent of the breach wasn’t yet known and the hackers may have had full access to anything that relies on Amazon Web Services (their cloud platform) and it said if your data was stored anywhere on those servers that it could be compromised even if you’ve never used twitch. I guess I should have said Amazon data “may have been breached” (we know twitch was for sure). as far as the leaked data, I saw people talking about it on Reddit. There was a link to download all the data and some people saying it contained passwords. But I don’t know if that’s actually true or not.
  22. I was a subscriber for 3 years and I tried to re-subscribe when my most recent subscription ran out. Then this happened... I just can’t bring myself to spend any more money with them. My issue was never resolved. I tried reaching out to them at multiple email addresses, on Twitter, and even through a couple of their writers and nobody ever got back to me. There is no way to talk to an actual live person at the athletic. They have a bot that respond to all their emails and I couldn’t get it to understand my problem no matter how many different ways I tried to explain it. Terrible customer service.
