  1. Interesting. I remember McDermott said that the Bills will sign a large number of UDFA's. That it will be something they put some emphasis on. I'm not sure they have a whole lot of choice, anyway. We have a lot of roster spots left to fill.
  2. Stopped paying attention to your opinion when you said Mills was fine... lol (j/k)
  3. I'm excited about is pick the more I read here and elsewhere. Very hopeful we found our RT for now and the future. Our O line could be very good with a better RT. plus Hopefully we won't need to have an extra player blocking so often on the right side to cover for Mills weakness.
  4. Cool. Good to hear. I have to imagine the Bills are planning on him playing RT. We have a couple backup G's already and RT is a glaring need. Can't imagine they give up a 3rd and 2 5th's for a G (a position we actually have some depth at).
  5. Mills sure wasn't fine at RT last year. He was terrible.
  6. So now we have 2 picks left? And don't pick again until the 5th?
  7. Nice. Hope so. It's a HUGE need.
  8. Can he play RT? They're saying on ESPN they see him as a G.
  9. Man you guys are way ahead. They just announced the pick now
  10. Seems to me like the goal should be improving upon our current starting QB, not just finding a starting QB period.
  11. Same here. That's all that really matters at this point. I loved the trade down. Thought it was definitely the right move for the Bills.
  12. Let them laugh. History is definitely NOT on their side. Take a look at trades into the top 10 for QBs over the last 17 years. There's maybe 1 that worked out well - Michael Vick way back in 2000 (before mobile QBs were popular. That trade may not even happen today). Other than that, it's hard to point to another trade into the top 10 that worked out. Sanchez? LOL
  13. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/the-comprehensive-guide-to-10-years-of-first-round-trades/ Here's a comprehensive list for all 1st round trades over the last 10 years. Compare away.
  14. As of now, I'd say that Darnild, Rosen, Allen all look to have a legitimate shot at being pretty good NFL QBs. I'd say Falk too. And Raymond looks like a wild card. A lot can change in a year though. We will just have to wait and see I guess... But as of now it looks like a strong class. Let's hope it stays that way as next season plays out.
  15. Here's an good read for anyone interested. It's a comprehensive list of all 1st round trades the last 10 years. It tells basically every detail of the trade too. It's interesting to see how the value we got stacks up against other trades. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/the-comprehensive-guide-to-10-years-of-first-round-trades/
  16. I had never heard that. May I ask where you learned that? I've always read that next year's draft picks are valued roughly the same as this year's. Even the draft value chart I have says that right on the top - http://www.newerascouting.com/nfl-draft-trade-value-chart/
  17. Very well said. It amazes me the people who say with such certainty that a college QB prospect will be some elite franchise guy. NFL teams spend $100's of thousands of dollars and countless man hours (between multiple professional scouts, GMs, front office execs etc who all do this for a living) evaluating these players, and yet every year we see so many of these teams miss and the QBs bust. Nobody knows anything for certain about these QBs. If they did, they'd be very rich, like you said.
  18. It's happened before, where lots of QBs went high and didn't do crap in the NFL. Look at 2011 QB draft for example. Only time will tell. Could be a good QB draft or could be a bunch of busts. Just because they went in the top 12 doesn't really mean much of anything at this point.
  19. Id actually kind of like Another trade down. Pick up an extra 2nd + more.
  20. I am still all pumped up about the trade back. I feel like we may actually have a coach who is thinking about more than just this year and legitimately wants to build something good in Buffalo. He's doing the best thing for the Bills, and not just for himself. What a difference from Rex, huh?
  21. What did Cleveland get? I still haven't seen ESPN show it, unless I missed it while posting on here.
  22. Hey, let's all just hope Alex Smith is so disgruntled that he ends up sucking next season and KC picks top 15. It could happen... lol
  23. I can't believe how many people are so upset with the trade up. Sure, an extra 2nd would have been ideal. But I like the trade. And I'll Love it next year! I wouldnt even mind seeing the Bills trade back from 27!
