  1. What a goal by Tuch! I’m not by any means saying to trade 1st round picks or top prospects for rentals. I have no interest in trading our 1st or any of our top prospects. I agree 100% it would be a waste. They’re not ready. I would be open to a bigger trade like that for a #1 goalie that’s young enough to be here for a while (like Thatcher Demko if he’s truly available). But when I said add a vet I meant more of a cheap addition. Something like a mid/late pick for a veteran defenseman (like a 4th or later) to help calm them in their own end or something like that. It seems like it could be a buyers market this year. I’d just like to see them add something to give the team a boost and help them stay in the playoff race. I don’t want to just throw picks away but if something makes sense for a reasonable price that could help this team, I think they should do it. It’s important they stay in the playoff race.
  2. Welp, that’s game. I don’t see them coming back from a 5-0 deficit tonight. I’d love to be wrong though!
  3. They didn’t look bad at the start of the 1st, but as soon as Toronto got that 1st goal they went into full-on melt down mode and now it’s 4-0 ten minutes later. Thats been an issue for Buffalo this year. They allow 1 goal to turn into multiple goals in a short time span. This team desperately needs a #1 goalie and they could use a bit more of a veteran presence too IMO. They need someone who’s able to help calm things on the ice when the kids are struggling. Really hoping Kevyn Adams at least makes a small addition before the deadline. The kids need some help to stay in the playoff race.
  4. Same here! He seems like a good dude. His wife seems pretty awesome too. She was involved in some project here fixing up houses iirc. She seemed pretty active in the community.
  5. Last I saw, the Bills had cut him from the practice squad mid-January.
  6. Yeah I thought they played well last night. It was a fun game! I thought the 2nd was sloppy though. So many missed passes… other than that it was a great game! big win! It moved them up the standings. Now they are only 3 points back from the Islanders who hold the last wildcard spot, but they have 5 games in hand on the NYI. That last wildcard spot is actually in reach if they can keep winning. They have a tough stretch of games coming up. It’ll be important to at least pick up points. Even if they lose, if they can at least get it to overtime it’ll be big.
  7. Plus he’s a lefty and I’ve read he doesn’t like to play on the right. Ideally IMO they would add a top 4 RHD and someone who excels in his own end.
  8. I thought it seemed like something was going on with Diggs and Allen last season. I think many of us noticed a change. He had a number of outbursts on the sidelines. I didn’t see him picking Allen up and encouraging him on the sidelines like he used to. I didn’t see all the buddy/buddy interviews with him and Allen as much after games, or Diggs “photo bombing” Allen interviews joking around and stuff. I also didn’t see Diggs pictured away from the facilities with teammates this past season. He used to always be in the Instagram photos with Allen and other teammates hanging out. I didn’t see him in any pictures with teammates as the season went on. I have no inside info and I’m not saying there is definitely an issue but I do feel like something changed. Don’t know what. I just hope whatever it is can be resolved like you said.
  9. Yesh it’s nice that the playoffs are in reach. It’s a lot of fun thinking about the Sabres making the playoffs! They have to stay in the race though. The last time they were in playoff contention at this point in the season (IIRC) was in 2018/19 when they traded for Brandon Montour at the deadline. Then they proceeded to completely melt down after the trade deadline winning something like 8 games the rest of the season 🤮 So IMO I don’t consider this a successful season quite yet. Stay in the race and I will! But if they draft in the top 8-9 again it’s going to be hard to feel like this season was a win. I do feel like this time is different. I really feel like they’re on the right track. But I’ve been fooled before, so I’m still guarded.
  10. I would rate them similar to you. However, I would say that Knox, Davis, Rousseau and maybe Oliver all still have a chance to be better than average. I would say all of them have flashed the ability to be better. They just need more consistency. I’d also say that Brown still has a chance to be a starting caliber RT. And I’m hoping J. Johnson maybe just had a bad year. He seemed to be trending in a good direction before last season. Maybe the new safety coach will help him? 🤞 Beane has done an awful lot of good here but I do think his drafts could use some improvement. He needs a home run draft or two to get Buffalo over the hump like we’ve seen other teams do. He needs to draft some true game changers. It’ll be more important now than ever before with the cap situation. I actually think the 2017 draft that McDermott ran might possibly be their best overall draft. Well, excluding Josh Allen anyway. Getting him in 2018 automatically makes that their best draft IMO just due to the importance of a true game changing franchise QB. 2017: Tre White Zay Jones Dion Dawkins Matt Milano Nathan Peterman Tanner Vallejo White is a #1 CB. Dawkins is our franchise LT. Milano is one of the top LB’s in the NFL. Jones was traded but has now found success. Not a bad draft. However, I guess it could be argued that it’s overshadowed by trading the #10 pick to KC and handing them Mahomes, who completed their dynasty and now stands in the way of Buffalo every season for the foreseeable future… lol.
  11. It’s not feasible to have big money players at every position on defense, and if Frazier needs that to be successful then I question his abilities as a DC. They already have an expensive LB in Milano. They have big money on the D line and at CB. Big money at Safety with Hyde and Poyer (though Poyer is obviously also a free agent now). It’ll hurt to lose Edmunds, but they can’t keep everyone and I’d rather see any extra money go into the offense. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/positional/2022/full-cap/ last year the Bills used 11.43% of their cap space on the LB position, which was the highest % of cap allocated to a position group on the roster (2nd closest was the CB position). It would be even higher if Edmunds is extended. I’m not sure if that’s the best way to spend the limited cap space they have… One of the things I loved about McDermott’s defensive success in Carolina, especially back in 2012/2013 when they first started making noise - he did it with quite a few “no name” players (at least at the time) and young draft picks. Time to get back to that, and if Frazier isn’t capable then maybe McDermott needs to take over or find a new DC.
  12. Me too! hey, btw who did the Bills hire as assistant o line coach? I missed the news of a new hiring for that position. I saw our current asst. OL coach (Ryan Wendell) is being hired by the rams but I hadn’t seen any news of a replacement yet.
  13. That’s the question we’d all like to know the answer to… His contract was up this offseason. Did the Bills decide to move in a different direction? Did Hall decide to leave for a new opportunity? did he maybe want to be closer to his wife’s family down south? Or did something happen? We’d all love to know! lol This new guy is definitely more experienced. Is he better? 🤷‍♂️ I hope so!
  14. I believe there might still be a way to recover your account. https://m.facebook.com/help/203305893040179 worth a try at least!
  15. Nice win last night! I thought for a minute they were going to blow it when they allowed those 3 unanswered goals in the 2nd I was like “here we go…”. But then they answered back and took over again in the 3rd. Now keep it going! Like I keep saying, I’ll be happy if they can just stay in the playoff hunt down the stretch and not collapse under the pressure. That would feel like a successful season and step forward to me.
  16. Seems like he’s had a lot of success. https://247sports.com/Article/Buffalo-Bills-hire-Indiana-co-OCWRs-coach-Adam-Henry-204805107/ im excited about this hire! I’ll be interested to see how long he sticks around though. It doesn’t seem like he’s stayed anywhere too long. But maybe he finds a home here!
  17. https://amp.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article267759312.html nice article on Holcomb. Personally, I would be happy if the Bills defense started being called more like McDermott’s Carolina defenses. I would see that as a positive thing!
  18. Wow, that’s great! Congrats!
  19. I’m not going to overreact to 2 bad games, but I’d by lying if I said it doesn’t concern me and give me some flashbacks to all the collapses down the stretch. I thought it was the same story again last night as it was on Saturday. It looked like they couldn’t handle the intensity of a team pushing for the playoffs. and way too many breakdowns in the D zone. Yikes. They gotta clean that **** up quick. Lets hope they can get back in the win column tomorrow. No excuses against Anaheim. That’s a game they have to win! https://www.nhl.com/standings/2022/division they have to get back on track quick if they want to stay in the playoff race.
  20. Just make sure your current game pass ultimate subscription is expired first, otherwise it won’t do the 1/1 conversion. But that’s what I do. I stack 3 years of gold either by buying the $60 12 month cards from retailers like Walmart or wherever has them for $60. This last time I did it I actually got 3 years for $14 total by using the Microsoft rewards points. During the pandemic I started doing the daily Microsoft reward point searches and tasks just out of boredom and I’ve kind of made it a part of my morning routine now (it takes less than 5 mins a day). So I was able to buy 3 years worth of gold via Microsoft reward points. Then added them all to my account and paid the $14 to convert it to ultimate. I should be able to do the same thing again in 3 years (if the conversion still works by then). if any one’s interested there is a subreddit dedicated to Microsoft reward points. Some people are super dedicated to doing all the daily reward point stuff on Xbox, PC and mobile and are even able to buy their Xbox’s and laptops with points. ghats way too much work for me! lol
  21. Man what a terrible call. It turned an amazing super bowl game into a controversy. Kansas City very well may have won the game without that call. But because of that call it puts a big old asterisk next to their win (not that KC coaches/players/fans care…). What a crappy way to end a great game!
  22. Well, that was obviously not what we were hoping to see in their first game coming off break, especially with other teams right in front of Buffalo in the playoff race winning today. Hopefully it was just rust. I'm sure some of it was. But it also looked like they had trouble dealing with Calgary once they turned it up in the 2nd. Buffalo had a good 1st. They were overwhelming Calgary with their speed. But then Calgary pushed back in the 2nd and it didn't go well for Buffalo. That's what they should expect from teams down this stretch. Now is when the games get tougher. Veteran teams know what it takes to stay in a playoff spot. I just hope they can at least stay in the playoff race. They can't crumble down the stretch like every other season if they want to consider this season a success. I'm hopeful they won't!
  23. I get nervous during games (sometimes very nervous!), and annoyed if they lose. But i’m usually over it by the next day. I may still be somewhat annoyed but I don’t really let it impact my life.
  24. Brady worked for Carolina years after McDermott had already left. I’m failing to see the significance. By the time Brady was hired in Carolina there was a new head coach (who came from the college ranks and had no ties to McDermott), a new GM and a new owner.
  25. this could be true. It would make sense. I was hoping they'd offer Wilks the DC job. Maybe they did? The 49ers DC job has proven to be a quick way to a head coaching job, where as Buffalo's DC will always be in the shadow of McDermott. Even if buffalo offered Wilks the DC job I could see where he would pick SF. I am not disappointed by this hire nor do i think it reeks of desperation. I actually think it might show Frazier's seat is getting hot. I really don't get why so many are so upset by this hire. They aren't going to bring in someone who runs a completely different defense than what the head coach ran or what the current DC runs. Our problem on defense isn't McDermott's defensive system anyway IMO (which has proven to work with 3 different teams now - Philly, Carolina and Buffalo. Anyone who thinks MCDermott played it as safe as Frazier as a DC needs to go back and watch his defenses before he got to Buffalo). It's frazier's tendency to play it so safe and his inability to adjust in game. Maybe Holcomb will help? Or even possibly replace Frazier if he's unable to make the adjustments McDermott may want. I know people wanted Frazier fired. But it hasn't happened. At least Adding someone like Holcomb could help bring changes to the defense.
