  1. Only 23?! ?
  2. https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/coronavirus-pandemic-covid-19-latest-news-2020-04-10/ 2,027 deaths from COVID19 today alone. We are the 1st country to surpass 2000 deaths in a single day. Over 18,500 total deaths in the US. Almost 6000 deaths in just the last 3 days and over 1000 recorded deaths every day since April 2. ? Not really even sure what to say, besides that my thoughts and prayers are with all those families affected tonight.
  3. They’re showing the 2006 Sabres semi final round against Ottawa starting Monday.
  4. No. I have high risk family members that I’m in frequent contact with and I am higher risk myself. I don’t see myself attending any crowded events until there is a vaccine. I couldn’t live with myself if I gave this to one of my family members and they died.
  5. Yeah I tried to creat an IG account once. I don’t know what happened but when I went to sign in for the first time it said my account was locked (how could I violate tos before ever even signing in?!). Then they wanted me to take a picture of myself with my drivers license to unlock it so I just never tried again.
  6. Can someone tell me where to watch these Instagram live videos. I can never find them. I don’t have an Instagram account, so I need one? Edit - looks like a have to create an account. Link?

  10. @Hardhatharry check out these videos for ideas. There are tons of videos on YouTube on how to make your own mask. It depends on what type you want to make. Heres a link to the simplest one ive found. It’s got step by step pictures. You can just lay a piece of that blue shop towel or other filter material inside the handkerchief. http://blog.japanesecreations.com/no-sew-face-mask-with-handkerchief-and-hair-tie And here’s a few videos for more ideas: Here’s one (the video below) made from shop towels, paper clips and a stapler. Just FYI, the video shows the wrong type of shop towels. Those are Scott’s originals. They are made from paper. Ideally you want the Pro version that is made from polyester/ hydro knit, not paper. Or you could go with one like this that has a filter pocket (where you could change out the shop towel filter each day). It only takes sewing in a couple quick spots if you’re up for it:
  11. I don’t know if you saw that video Hapless posted in the other thread on airborne viruses indoors. But they say if you have windows that open you should open up 2 windows at least once every hour. They said it makes a big difference in clearing any airborne virus that may be in the air. I’d also echo hapless’s suggestion to have everyone start wearing masks if possible. There’s an easy video where they use a towel or bandana + 2 layers of that blue “hydro knit” shop towel (has to be that hydro knit material. Autozone or advanced auto should have rolls of it - one brand is Scott’s Pro shop towels (has to be pro, not original), or Zep’s or toolbox’s shop towels (I think harbor freight carries this brand)). A roll of 90 or so is $10-15 iirc. They should really be staying home if they’re sick, but I know that’s not your call. I’d wear a mask if possible and encourage your co-workers to do so as well (or at the bare minimum make sure they cough into their elbows every time so it’s at least somewhat contained).
  12. Tre won’t need to leave buffalo to get paid. He’s most likely going to be one of the highest paid CB’s in the league if/when he signs a new deal here.
  13. Thanks for sharing! I love listening to brandon Beane talk. He usually always gives a good interview.
  14. Agreed. It’s going to be tough to ever even do a national testing and tracing program if it’s left up to each state to decide if they’ll do it or not (and if they have the funding to accomplish it).

  16. ? I hipe this is at least an option for everyone who wants to vote by mail in November. Nobody should have to risk their health or the health of their family to exercise their right to vote. We know elections by mail work. 25% of Americans voted by mail in 2016. 5 states already have a vote by mail. Oregon has since the ‘90’s and they’ve shown it actually cuts down on election meddling + improves voter turnout.

From about a dozen members of the Academies' Standing Committee on Emerging Infectious Diseases and 21st Century Health Threats. Translation: maybe it will die off with summer, and maybe it won't, but even if it will eventually, while it's a pandemic it may not.
  19. For context: guidelines on who who qualifies for this treatment and their thinking behind issuing this advise:
  20. No, she didn’t say. She just told me about the 40 new patients overnight. Then she mentioned how the nurses were not wearing masks in the hallway. My friend works on the floor below the covid floors, so she only go onto the covid floor a few times a day and hasn’t yet been asked to care for covid patients (but said she knows it’s coming). She told me a week or so ago that she ordered her own masks to wear when she has to go up to the covid floors. She ordered those black fabric charcoal filter masks you see online ($100 for 4 she said! Price gouging *** holes). Said she knows it’s not ideal (or required) but it made her feel better. I can’t blame her. This is all new to her. She normally only deals with patients coming in to see a specialist. Do you think the risk is relatively low out in the hallways then? If that’s standard procedure?
