  1. Same old argument, plain and simple, because the success rate drafting high for a WR is bad. They seldom pan out. We just traded a higher round drafted WR to the Raiders for peanuts. We traded Sammy Watkins for peanuts compared to what he cost. What do we tell Allen when another high round pick doesn't pan out, wait until next years draft and we'll get you some help. I agree, absolutey you address the WR position in the draft/ crap shoot. I also agree on exploring other optiions...
  2. I agree, there's going to be some high expectations next season with possibly some big changes within the Division. What happens during the offseason and coming up on the next draft will be very interesting...
  3. No, probably not, but when the game was over the house of cards fell for many a Bills fan. and for many it felt like a collapse....
  4. I know allot of fans are calling the 2nd half of the Texans game a collapse and I can respect the train of thought. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer here and the truth is somewhere in the middle. Most games have an ebb and flow to them unless its a blowout. Some games that go back and forth the ebb and flow is more frequent, others not so much as is the case of Buffalo''s loss to Houston. Myself personally, there are 4 quarters to a football game. If two teams are tied at the end of 4 quarters the Bills didn't collapse any more in the 2nd half then the Texans did in the 1st. As Shaw pointed out stopping Houston with a 3 and out to get the ball back is not a collapse. Coming back to tie ind under two minutes would be considered a collapse on the Texans part. Despite the shock you could see written all over his face. Josh Allen still doing everything he can with the Buffalo never say die attitude. Fighting for the team that means everything to him. Experience doesn't always go the way you want it to go, you learn from it, and come back to this place in the playoffs one day better prepared. I get that argument, I really do, I just don't think there's a definitive answer. At least not in my humble opinion gomper
  5. Leave it to you OP to find a way to bottle up all the emotions the seasons ending has given us, and putting it all in good perspective with another, enjoyable, easy reading Rockpile review. Always a pleasure and on point. Well done. Thank you Shaw66
  6. I agree, and good posting finn from within TSW. One more good draft and the mighty Buffalo is locked and loaded for Bear. Our New Era Buffalo Bills football team isn't going anywhere. Tom Brady on the other hand probably is If he wants to have a resptful ending to a historical career in the NFL. Division Championship, home games. The future looks bright for the Buffalo Bills. One Buffalo strong...
  7. Normally I won't root for another AFC team unless it helps Buffalo in some way. With that being said, being a huge fan of the QB position, I find myself mesmerized by the play of Mahomes. Go KC!!!
  8. Our best young players getting their feet wet in the playoffs for the 1st time wasted? Experience gained by Allen, Singletary or even Duke Williams wasted? Get real...
  9. A WR the size of Williams gives Allen's more often then not high velocity throws a larger catching radius. I agree, some time spent together building chemistry during the off season could prove very beneficial to the Bills O/ team IMO.
  10. I'm not saying the Duke is going to be a league superstar at the WR position. What I will say is the kid shows potential. How much remains to be seen. Impressive for a player that has barely sniffed the playing field IMO.
  11. Big down hill runner, I agree...
  12. Nobody should be ticked off at our team or coaching staff with many of our young players experiencing the playoffs for the 1st time. On the road in a hostile environment. Not in my humble opinion. The O as a unit is very young. If you want to be ticked off be mad about the Cody Ford Call, a questionable call that in all likelihood altered the outcome of the game. Or be mad about a delay of game infraction that was ignored on a critical Texan scoring drive. Buffalo overachieved this season given the youth and personnel changes. Buffalo has been overachieving under McD's watch because thats what a well coached team does period. Myself personally, I'm not mad at the Buffalo Bills in any way, shape or form. This is us , our team, and when that ship sinks I'm going down with it. One Buffalo strong...
  13. We may have If Ford doesn't get the bogus blind side block penalty. I understand, its a hard pill to swallow, OT loss is the hardest because the victory was oh so close. It went past the 60 minute mark. Two good teams that showed allot of heart today, someone had to lose...
  14. I think anyone that went into playoffs thinking Buffalo had all the pieces to win a Championship this season needs a reality check IMO. We all hope..
  15. Thanks for the help on my thread description. (We have to keep Hapless happy)
  16. I kept thinking to myself in OT, give Singletary the ball, give Singletary the ball. Instead one pass play after another. I wonder If all those folks that hate a conservative run 1st O got their collective bellys full in OT.
  17. Very happy with Dukes play. Size matters...
  18. You get what I'm saying though? Like the play to Duke Williams in the end zone, great pass, Williams would have scored the TD. Opposition's DB made a great play and prevented the TD. I don't call that playing awful on O.
  19. You know theres a difference between playing awful and the oppositions D making some good plays. You get that right?
  20. Thought we should have at least one Topic of discussion with a positve spin. I haven't seen a Bills RB with moves like that since the days of Thurman Thomas.
  21. Awful for much of the game? Hmmmm, ok
  22. I don't think there's a lineman in the NFL that would turn away and not make the same block. Probably cost us the game. Another play on a critical drive for the Texans they clearly ran out of time on the play clock. No call
  23. Anticipation is killing me. Oh Josh...
  24. I understand, Being the big homer that I am, I'll still take Josh...
  25. Josh Allens arm strength is unmatched by anyone in the history of the NFL and its not even close. It gives Allen the ability to reach distances and at a higher velocity then anything we have ever seen. A longer learning curve goes with the territory. We're just scratching the surface...
