  1. I'm saying a rookie, then 2nd year QB could have used an above average at worse WR in Sammy Watkins IMO. McCoy provided a spark for the Buffalo Bills and at times so did Dareus IMO. Now a high round drafted WR in Zay Jones just got traded for peanuts whom at times also provided a spark. Its no wonder why Buffalo's not hitting on all cylinders.
  2. Sammy's amazing ability to stop on a dime would be a perfect fit for Allens scorching hot lasers. PERFECT. Watkins loved Buffalo and had to feel crushed when he was traded. If Ihad my choice of having any WR in the National football league not named Julio, I'm bringing Sammy Watkins back. The one shinning light at the end of the tunnel we do have and its still something I firmly believe in. Our rising star on the horizon. Josh Allen...
  3. I think he might be referring to the Panthers which came up one game short of the Superbowl. ( NFC Campionship)
  4. PTR had commented on how star players can also develop from the draft. Something I can agree on. The problem is depending on the position its very hit and miss, especially at the WR position. Something another fellow poster commented on. Its easy to say Buffalo needs elite players. Much harder and often times very expensive to accomplish.
  5. Jackson would make a good RB. I'm just saying...
  6. Big fan of Biscuit, thanks for reminding me.
  7. I was more sad then angry because it told me everything I was trying to ignore was true. Buffalo simply isn't all that good, especially on O. Thanks OP for helping confirm my beliefs. The Buffalo Bills need a sprinkle of elite, or borderline elite players to take the next step in my humble opinion. Something that doesn't come easily...
  8. I don't put Zay Jones anywhere near elite, but sending him packing for a 5th is another example of a high draft choice tossed out the door like garbage. Buffalo is not a better team without him IMO.
  9. Voted yes because a locker room full of good character players should be enough to silence A B's demons. I also believe after following A B's tweets before his last NFL rant he was warming up to the idea of playing for the Bills. Buffalo soldier leads me to believe Brown is ready to play again. I also think the way McD handles the locker room is a good fit for the troubled soul.
  10. You know what they say, great minds think alike. Thanks for the reply Shaw, much appreciated.
  11. I think elite talent and winning culture go hand in hand IMO. Elite players set the bar high for all those around them.
  12. and why is B B willing to bring in Gordon or A B. Elite talent, thats why. ( fill the hole from Gronks departure)
  13. As an earlier poster posted the draft is a crap shoot especially at the WR position. James Lofton was added to the Superbowl team of the 90's with good success despite being late in his career. Thanks for the reply PTR Why do you think Buffalo and Baltimore lost to Cleveland?
  14. I think Sammy Watkins would have gone a long way in making Josh Allen and the Bills O a better unit. Thanks for the thoughtful reply ColeB
  15. When Bill Polian built the team of the 90's that went to 4 straight Superbowls elite players were sprinkled into the Bills lineup for good reason. Names like Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, Jim Kelly and Andre Reed. When the Buffalo Bills are brought up in discussion in todays day and age the team that lost 4 straight Superbowls is still the identity we carry. Do you ever wonder why that is. It because since that time Buffalo has lacked enough star players at one time to change the perception, or to accomplish great things. Aside from Josh Allen and until he accomplishes something elite does not fit the Bill. Who does Buffalo have to go with Allen by way of elite?. Answer, nobody. I mean we can say the Buffalo Bills have a team full of good character players that train and play hard, but no greats. The kind of great players needed to form an identity. The kind of elite players needed to accomplish great things IMO. Don't get me wrong I think McD is a good HC. I also think Josh Allen has star potential. I think the star potential will come given some star players around him. Something Buffalo simply does not have at this point in my humble opinion. Forgive my thread starting skills. Its been awhile and I'm a little rusty. Anyone care to share their thoughts?
  16. I agree, There's really not much consistency in anything Buffalo does except play down to its opponent. No identity...
  17. I know its a team sport, but Mayfield beating Allen head to head is up near the top of the list for me.
  18. I agree Hate kickers, last kick didn't even have enough on it. Almost looked deliberate. If I'm McD hes gone...
  19. When I seen the thread/ vote title I was thinking hmmm, interesting, 2 extra goal scorers on the ice, it might work.
  20. After living in Alabama for a few years the state is smack full of beautiful woman.
  21. Careful what you wish for Boatdrinks, lol Best case scenario and Miami misses on both of them... ...Compliments of Fitzmagic...
  22. Still a big Tua fan, but Burrow was very impressive today. Hats off to LSU. Good game. I prefer Burrow goes to Miami...
  23. Ouch, Hats off to the better team...
  24. Still might make more sense then long term deal IMO. You hate to give up what could still be an elite pass catcher in a pass heavy NFL.
  25. Opposition game plans known tendencies so it makes sense to take under consideration when game planning or play calling IMO. Even when a tendency continues to have good results. I think part of Buffalo's problem is still not executing some plays at a high enough level to get a good indicator. Young QB early in development along with many new faces still acclimating to the system all go into play. It takes time to gel, to know a players tendencies. Allen, Brown and Beasley are building good chemistry every week. The team is a work in progress , especially on O. Although still in all likelihood a few players away from challenging for a Championship. The future looks very bright for the Buffalo Bills in my humble opinion.
