How much influence Bills HC McDermott may have on the Offense as Allen develops I think is a good Question. Does Daboll fit the process?
AFL just has a colorful way of asking it, authenticity at its finest...
Daboll would in all likelihood be looking for and taking into consideration any advice McDermott may have on the the short and long term develpment of Josh Allen IMO. McDermotts experience working in the same camp as Cam Newton an athlete with a much similar skill set and an ability to help game plan the opposition gives Daboll a perspective through the eyes of a DC.
For the most part though I think Daboll has been and will continue to the call the shots.
Don't get me wrong, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to fit the process or a low IQ to be an idiot. Tyrod Taylor had the lowest wonderlic score for starting QB's in the league. Taylor still fit the process until the process upgraded/eliminated him.
I don't think flat out idiots with just raw talent applies to the process very well. M D comes to mind.
Josh Allen is about as talented as they come and the smartest QB in a very good draft class.
Now thats what I'm talking about...
It took 1 season to accomplish what no other Bills HC could accomplish in over 18 years.(playoffs)
It took 2 seasons to accomplish what no Bills GM has accomplished in over 2 decades.(franchise QB)
Top 3 D with very little talent.
Myself personally, while Buffalo may not win 4 Superbowls over the next decade,
winning one works for me...
Young HC, GM, learning from their mistakes I'm sure. Josh Allen is probably ahead of schedule now because of it IMO. Like you Rocky, it brought back memories of TE. If I'm McD, I'm probably staying with the hot hand of Barkley until I could shore up the Oline. As it turns out, the best thing for the teams immediate future was Allen finishing the season behind center. Josh carried his team at the college level, and already doing it as a rookie in the Pro's.
One Buffalo strong...
The Process in two words "continuous Improvment"
Shaw did a good job pointing out to what great lengths the process takes the Buffalo Bills IMO.
Josh Allen and his fellow teamates bought into the process and by seasons end we started seeing results.
Remains to be seen how it will all pan out and posts like yours helps keep us grounded.
So many positives in the way the Buffalo Bills are being managed, coached, and backed by ownership with everyone on the same page its no wonder the Bills fan base is talking playoffs and beyond already. McD is going to continue to find ways to improve and the team is going to follow his lead. Intelligent, motivated players with a purpose. Leading the charge, Josh Allen.
I think you can bet on Allen...
Nice reply,
My expectations are very high because along with the boatload of talent , Josh Allen has a good head on his shoulders and protects the football well.
Not hardwired yet , I like that assessment. (Barkley, hardwired)

More days to come, new places to go
I've got to leave, it's time for a show
Here I am

I like to dream yes, yes, right between my sound machine
On a cloud of sound I drift in the night

Another pause.
Never realized how many songs I may have been a little off on the Lyrics (wording) and misinterpreted what the writer was trying to convey.
Great thread OP, thanks
True that my friend,
The good old days of watching someone get their clock cleaned on special teams play is becoming a thing of the past.
On any play for that matter.
