Why is Beasley getting replaced next year?

Anyone who bought his rookies or rookie autos after his big game, and didnt already dump are about to be in a world of hurt depending on when they bought in. Granted this is only his third game, going against the #1 D.

So why couldnt they run a jet sweep last week? Finally, the McKenzie jet sweep has returned.

How? What did he do?

They even kept the RB in to block on the left side. 😕

How did he drop it?

Thanks I couldn't remember the time line of his injury, etc, etc. I do remember Sal C. mentioning that he wouldnt be surprised if Lamp could crack the starting lineup/compete early on in the spring leading up to training camp (or whenever it was before he got hurt).

During training camp before Lamp got hurt, how was he looking? For what it's worth he is currently on the Saints PS.

It seems the Bills are afraid to play players because of injury. Won't play Bates, because what if Morse gets hurt during the game and Bates gets hurt before that? What if McKenzie gets hurt on a jet sweep, who will return the ball? Let the players play.

This is correct. (I think) Because... Lee is from and still lives in Knoxville, TN. Even when he was playing in Buffalo, they still had a house in Knoxville (I think the family split time between living in Knox and Buff) I think he was ready to retire and ask for the favor. (Probably to either the Titans or ATL) Both are about the same driving distance and obviously he would have the money to fly or charter some type of private flight. I would also guess he would have connections to some high rollers in the Knoxville area that have access to a private jet, etc... So I agree I think this is what happened. With all that being said, I wish Lee was still on the team. It might have helped with the blocking issues. Heck, put him in at guard over Cody Ford (I'm not being serious on that, but then again how much worse could he be 🤔 )

Same here, I thought they cut him outright. (which I would have been happy but shocked). I see him being on the team the rest of the year and then not being on the team next year.

I completely agree. At some point they need to just let the players, play. Even if its just the window dressing, of him going in motion. They can do it say 10 times a game, and only give it to 2 or 3 times and it would still really help the offense in my opinion.

I'm glad other people are saying the samething I've been saying/thinking about the sweeps. What's also interesting is against KC, the offense looked completely different with the type of plays, etc then it did at any point this year. It's all very confusing. This is/was the top scoring offense in the league going into today, right? However I would argue the offense just hasn't looked/felt right all year. Like it seems so much gets left on the table each game, even the big "blowout" wins they've had. Sometimes his sweeps are considered passes though. Something to keep in mind. 🙂

Hard to say, but it looks like Gabe Davis would have been open too, if D.W gave JA even a chance to make the play.

They have not done the jet stuff (either with actual handoff or a "pass") with mckenzie this year at all, like they have in the past. Why? If its a "dont want to INJ the returner" then use someone else. If that is not the reason, I don't get it, it would always give the Bills a few cheap ones, and they had success with it the red zone too. Also, I will keep shouting it from the mountain tops, but it seemed even with just that simple jet motion, it would open the run game some as well for handoffs to the actual RB.

Didnt have that feeling today, the way the games are being called is getting really frustrating. Its not about the W/L with the refs, I just would like to watch a football game with some flow. Seems like the last two weeks have been really bad with it. However, I know the feeling you are feeling. A gut punch of a loss, when you really care about something, is tough. Then to add to the frustration of not being able to do anything about it. It really makes you question what you are doing as a person.

Between that and Manning Cast curse, should have put the life savings on the game. Football is stupid 😔

That was the game. It was a first down, it was in easy field goal territory and who knows maybe that leads to a TD. That was the missed play. Make that play all the stupid stuff afterword doesn't matter.

Also I said yes to being on the roster on week 17, but I dont think he will be on the team next year.

Football is such a weird, dumb game sometimes. Tons of stupid stuff, then 23 yard gain on 3rd & 22.
