  1. Safety #1. Behind Hyde we get Poyer, Anderson, etc. None do a thing for me. TE#2. Clay goes down, we got O'leary. Im a minority here to believe O'Leary can be a decent 2, but not 1. Lb#3. Brown is only servicable and can be masked with adequate help. But then we got Rags, who aint played a down, and by default wins a starting spot according to whatever position he wins/loses to Brown, and then Zo and a bunch of rookies and cast offs. Gerald Hodges, btw, helped our team alot. 3 spots between the 4.anyway,none may be best suited for the spot they win. Troubling to say the least. Cunningham was there for the taking and we passed...bummer Lastly, DE#4 We just simply need better depth
  2. Divisional Game Bystander.Diva, Good Bye!
  3. Dollar General Bust?Don't Go Backshoulder?
  4. Not saying he wouldn't useful in sub packages either. After all, we do face Brady's short attack twice every year. My point is, that's about all he'd be good for. Add in the injury risk, and it better be for cheap. Wasn't trying to imply an either/ or scenario.
  5. Exactly right. Maybe he's ok in coverage, but he is horrendous vs the run. Also, Hodges' grade was double that of Orr in run, and still higher vs the pass. I see not much value in him unless its for depth at a very affordable price... Add in the injury concerns, and I'd pass. If we need(we do) depth at lb, just wait till cuts come along and find someone that way
  6. I can realistically see a top 10 or so defense this year. McD can unleash the hounds, which should help with our young secondary. The big question will be the lbers. Tho im a big Reggie fan, we've not seen him play a single down yet in the nfl. Brown can be servicable and Zo/Hodges should be ok. Problem is, seems like most of them are best suited as mlb. We still never got an actual wlb who can cover consistently. So whoever gets the mike, the others by default will play the will...and im not a fan of starting players by default. However, I do think McD can move alot of players around at different times/situations to alleviate some of those perceived weaknesses. All in all, i expect a solid year. Perhaps not great, but 11 players on the field at the same time, all knowing their assignments, should improve the D by leaps n bounds
  7. I just want to see mental improvements...in assignments, in demeanor, etc.To me, thats the biggest, and most needed improvement of all. If McD can change that, we can be a more successful team with a chance at performing better
  8. Every great chef needs prep time. I have faith,as always, that THIS time we get it right😉 Im hungry damnit
  9. I must say, Jauron looked quite a bit like a liver, and Rex brought the onion. We tried to season it with an occasional Mularkey and Wade, but at the end of the day, it was still liver & onions. Let's hope for a cohesive stew for a change. Hell, I'd settle for a killer goulash at this point😉Simple, fulfilling, bang for your buck kinda dinner....
  10. Sooo....middle of the pack? Just like our record recently would indicate. I think its bullcrap honestly. I'd say top 5 fans. Even throughout the drought.
  11. I second that sentiment. The higher the pick we get next year, the better our roster gets.hopefully a franchise QB will be in the equation. If not, we still have plenty of room to improve.
  12. Lol...I guess they weren't as well run as certain posters repeatedly claimed.
  13. A fit only in Rex's 3-4? Good one! Hahaha.....he's not the best coverage guy, but he can and will outperform Brown without question.
  14. My point was, there are STILL FA's out there, unsigned. I just wondered why the process went so quickly...regardless of what dates we are talking. He came for a visit, left, and signed rather quickly. So I wondered if there might not have been much interest in him elsewhere Thanks! I thought the same thing. A one year deal at vet min was a good get. Hopefully he plays his way into another contract
  15. What a bargain. Hopefully it can turn into another contract offer after he plays well this year. On a side note, was there no better financial options for him out there? Im curious as to why he signed fairly quickly in FA on a one year deal for vet min..Does anyone have any insight as to why?
  16. thats true. And probably likely as the season wears on. I think he can be a good boundry receiver in time. But knowing McD, he may have to earn thay spot over the vet who has really impressed thus far. Not to mention the "learning curve" he will likely go thru early on...
  17. Yeah, im not sure why reports say he's penciled in at #3 behind Sammy n Zay. I've said all along that he should be #2 and play the rookie in the slot this year. It will give them both the best opportunity to contribute right away. With his size, he will be a great redzone threat. And playing Jones in the slot againt nickelbacks and lbers should be a win for us on most days.
  18. Nice read. Im hoping he fills the WLB roll. Im still wondering about Zo. Is he the odd man out, except on obvious passing downs? Im ready for some Bills football already.C'mon TC!
  19. I doubt that. Next year we draft our QB of the future. We got a 10 year backup in Peterman. Solid pick. Solid future
  20. Was an awesome game. I remember where I was, and whom I was watching with. I did a front flip when we won, back aint been right since lol. I wanted a superbowl rematch every year. Sadly, thanks to the Cowgirls, we never got it
  21. Replace humus with some homemade pico d'gayo and that sounds like my day! And of course Sam Adams instead of wine, but hey, we all have different tastes😉
  22. I fully expect Dareus to have a monster season. Waufle is EXACTLY what he needs. He thrived with tough love in the past. No reason to think his performance won't be duplicated with this staff
  23. You are absurd. The Chiefs are in cap hell and had to make cuts just to sign their draft class. After trading next year's first rounder for a mechanically flawed QB. HA!! The Pegs just hired their first GM. How does that make them incompetent? And whilst I like Andy Reid, his brilliance certainly hasn't led to any more championships than Marrone,Ryan, or McDermott. So settle down young man and think before you throw out random, factless biases about a team you "claim" to be a fan of....
  24. This is spot on. No question TT is average to slightly above average as a QB in the NFL(statistically). Its his intangibles that can both help, and hinder his chances of being a great QB. Im of the opinion that he is the bridge for next year and McD drafts his QB of the future next year. In the meantime, load up on as many other playmakers, of the no nonsense variety, and go with that. If TT excels, let the rookie sit
